Four Points by Sheraton Kamloops3.0 out of 5.0

Kamloops is a stopping off point on the way from Whistler to Jasper so we didn’t have wonderful expectations. Public space is a bit past it’s best but the hotel was good, we had a deluxe room which had loads of space and was clean, comfortable and not past it’s best. WiFi was reliable. The hotel is located on the edge of town so a little out of the way. That does, however, make it very handy for the highways and petrol stations.
I stayed recently at the Four Points Sheraton in Kamloops. I did not have a reservation but was welcomed by the young man at the front desk. At check in I inquired about places to eat and was directed to a delightful nearby restaurant. Check in was prompt and friendly. I like Four Points as they have comfortable 'easy chairs' in the rooms...which is something I like. After I had been in my room for a while I discovered there was a large wet spot on the floor between the beds. I called down to the desk but got no answer so went downstairs. The young man promptly gave me a different room...I went up, repacked my stuff and moved to the new room. I opened the door and immediately saw it didn't have a chair, so I turned around and went back to the front desk. Before giving me another room the desk clerk asked a colleague to check to make sure the new room had an easy chair, which it did. The room and public areas of this hotel were clean. Linens were nice. The issues I had were dealt with in a professional manner. The hotel is in a nice location with many restaurants and shopping close by. I would recommend this property.
We enjoyed our stay. Hotel is modern and clean and quiet. We had a nice view from our large room of Kamloops. Easy to find, free wifi, comfy beds. Would gladly stay here again. Staff were polite and welcoming.
We had travelled through a lot of smoke caused by the forest fires and were happy to reach the hotel. The room and bathroom were both clean and well equipped and the beds comfortable. We did however find the air conditioning noisey so had to turn off the fan. We had dinner and breakfast in The Twisted Olive the adjacent restaurant and both were good. We were only at the hotel one night but would be happy to use again.
We were exhausted from travelling thru the forest fires on our last leg to get home to Calgary and we had our 7 year old with us. We had a cooler that we needed to unload into a cold fridge so we could keep the 7 yr old happy. When we arrived, the fridge in the room was broken - we asked the front desk to send up someone to either swap it out or fix it as we had booked with them because they offered a fridge amongst other ammenities. Maintenance person came - not sure what he did but he pronounced it fixed. We waited an hour - nope the fridge was deader than a nail. The front desk offered to let us use their small fridge at the front but we had lots with us. The beds were clean and comfy, the pool was fun. I believe we should have been offered something more than their fridge as our 1 night stay was not cheap.
My wife and I stayed here, on our way through town, for one night. The hotel ticks off all the boxes that you would expect, and I would easily recommend this hotel. The location is very convenient. Getting into the hotel and out back onto the highway, is just a matter of a couple of turns. But this hotel is more than just a road-side stop over. It has a decent restaurant inside. And if that restaurant doesn't meet your needs, there are several within walking distance. There are coffee shops, sushi restaurants, a gas station, a drug store.... everything you could need, all within walking distance. The room layout is your typical hotel room: you walk in and there is a bathroom immediately to one side. Then there are two beds with a nightstand between them in the main area. Across from the foot of the bed is the dresser/ mini fridge/ TV unit. The Sheraton does a good job of furnishing the room in a modern way. The dresser unit was an integrated closet, desk, min fridge (inside a small cubby) all in one. It works well and looks nice and modern. The bathroom has obviously been renovated and upgraded with bright white subway tile and white fixtures. The shower head had multiple settings, which was nice after a few hours in the car. In the lobby is a free coffee bar (or tea, if that's your pleasure). Also free was the Wi-Fi, which was adequate for emailing, facebook and youtube. The staff we saw were pleasant and looked out for our needs, though they were not obsequious or underfoot. All of this at a decent rate makes this come together as a very decent stay.
Very comfortable beds, good air con, lovely breakfast close to all amenities was stopping off at kamloops on the way to lake louise will definitely stay again if I return staff very nice and polite would recommend
Great older (but nicely renovated) hotel in a great part of town, very close to lots of restaurants and shopping. Very clean rooms, nice pool with a water slide for the kids and friendly staff. A great place to stay if you're just passing through of staying a while to explore the area! .
This hotel is close to the shopping mals and restaurants. The reception is very friendly and helpful. The room is big with 2 queen beds. The room and the bathroom are very clean . You can go to the fitness or / and into the swimmingpool. We will book again next time we are in Kamloops.
We stopped here for one night during our Rocky Mountaineer journey. The hotel has a restaurant, which we dined in. Meals good to just okay. Our room consisted of 2 double beds which were very comfortable. Nothing flash about the room, but we had a good night sleep.
