Discover the Ultimate Luxury Escape: Leonardo Penthouse in Downtown Kalamazoo
Welcome to Leonardo, our chic 1,500 square foot luxury penthouse that truly stands out as the best in downtown Kalamazoo. Nothing else compares for the size. More privacy than the nearby Radisson suites, and you'd need to book two to sleep four guests, without a full kitchen, private parking or laundry. Perched on the top floor of a secure, historic building, this stylish retreat combines modern comfort and urban convenience, making it ideal for couples, professionals, small groups, or anyone seeking a memorable stay. We're excited to share this incredible space with you.
SPACE OVERVIEW: Step inside and feel the warmth of massive windows flooding the open concept living area with natural light, complemented by a cozy gas fireplace that's perfect for relaxing. Whether unwinding after exploring or streaming on the smart TV (log into your Netflix, Prime, or other accounts). Two spacious bedrooms sleep up to four: both with queen beds and premium linens, outfitted with high-thread-count sheets and plush pillows for comfortable nights.
The two full bathrooms offer practical relaxation: the primary ensuite with a whirlpool tub for soaking, both with high-end toiletries, fluffy towels, hairdryers, and pedestal sinks. Plenty of room means no rush getting ready.
The heart of Leonardo is the fully equipped kitchen, ready for quick meals or cozy dinners, with stainless steel appliances (fridge, oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker), cookware, utensils, and dishes. The adjacent dining space invites shared moments.
For work, there's a dedicated area with high-speed WiFi. Direct elevator access makes arrivals easy.
PARKING & ACCESS: Dedicated onsite parking is a game-changer downtown. No hunting or fees; your spot's reserved behind the building, with extra no-fee options nearby. Highways like I-94 and US-131 are close for quick drives to spots like the Air Zoo (10 minutes) or WMU events.
Privacy sets us apart: No hotel crowds or shared spaces. Just your keypad code for exclusive entry, creating a peaceful home base in the city.
LOCATION HIGHLIGHTS: Walkable & Welcoming At 310 East Michigan Avenue, Leonardo puts downtown's best at your feet. This area's safe and inviting, with well-lit streets where people stroll comfortably day or night.
Just steps away: Fresh pastries at Sarkozy’s Bakery, craft brews at Bell's (famous for its lively vibe). Dine at Roca for Latin-American plates, 600 Kitchen for contemporary options, Rustica for Italian-inspired meals, or Principle for cocktails and small plates. Coffee lovers, try Matchacita for matcha and brews, Grazing Table for charcuterie, or Factory Coffee for a modern city feel. All an easy, safe walk.
Under 2 miles from WMU and Kalamazoo College, it's perfect for campus visits, parents' weekends, graduations, or alumni events like K College Homecoming (October) or WMU Family Weekend (November). Close to skip commutes.
Join Art Hop monthly for local galleries, Blues Fest in July for music, JumpstART in June with art and the Do-Dah Parade, or the County Youth Fair in August for fun. Holiday shopping at Moonlight Madness in December adds magic. Walk to great restaurants, the outdoor mall, or more breweries like One Well or Latitude 42 just a few miles away.
TAILORED FOR YOUR STAY: Leonardo fits any trip warmly. For professionals, couples or small groups, the layout invites intimate getaways or gatherings. Picture evenings by the fire or meals in the kitchen. University visits feel easy: Relax post-tours or connect with colleagues.

We enjoyed the stay very much location was great. My son goes to Western Michigan University. It was just a few cleanliness issues that I would address around the toilets and the behind the seats there was old urine. baseboards were a little dirty but other than that everything else was great.
