We stayed here on a trip from the NE to South Florida on I-95 just to sleep for the night. I paid for the room with points and was able to get a 1-bedroom suite for the same amount of points as a studio. I booked with platinum customer service over the phone and the room was ready when I arrived 25 minutes later. The hotel is less than 1/4 of a mile from the I-95 exit and there was no one ahead of me checking in. The young lady at the front desk did her job perfectly. The hotel appears to be recently renovated, perhaps within the past 2-3 years. The hallways, elevator and other common areas were very tidy and well maintained. Parking was adequate and there appeared to be many fast food options close by. The room was clean and I found the furnishings to be in great condition. The sofa is larger than an ordinary sofa bed providing more seating and giving the room a more spacious feel. The bedding was wonderful and the pillows were better then the prior 3 hotel we stayed at so we left feeling healed. I would definitely chose this hotel again.
Front desk people were very good. Housekeepers were very efficient and made the rooms immucalate. Jesse Perez in sales was very friendly and easily accessible. Only problem if it was a problem, was no USB ports in the room we had.
Had to stay here at last minute notice, and I am grateful for the very kind staff. However, bathroom cleanliness was borderline, and there were other details off, such as absolutely no towel racks (picture shows how I had to force a towel into a shelf railing) and an odd smell, maybe the carpet?
Overnight stay to fly out next day, were able to leave car there for 4 nights(great benefit) free shuttle to airport, Room clean and very spacious , walking distance to several restaurants, Jamal at front desk couldn’t have been nicer. Will definitely stay there again
We stopped here on our way to South Florida. Room was very with everything we needed. Free breakfast, WiFi, pool, and parking Close to the mall, I would recommend you try it. Restaurants nearby, theaters, everything you could think of.
We checked in this hotel the room they gave us smell like dogs and wet carpet. I went back to the front desk and the agent quickly apologized and put us in another room.To my surprise this room was a suite with 2TV and an entertainment area. This location is great as you can see 295 from hotel. Getting to Arlington is easy and very scenic. We were able to get right on 295 and get there in minutes. The complementary breakfast is good for hotel food. Even the pickiest eater (my husband) is able to find something.
This hotel was excellent during our hurricane evacuation. Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms. Good location with free parking when you fly from JAX. Many restaurants and shopping nearby if you are driving through on I95. Nice breakfast and free. I recommend this hotel especially if you want a kitchen and a little extra space.
There are two aspects of this review - #1 - Hotel itself The Residence Inns have always been on my wife and my list of desirable places to stay because of the size of the rooms, the kitchenettes and the good hot breakfasts. However, this Residence Inn had just been renovated and very good got even better. Especially noteworthy was the extended desk with strip outlets on it and room for both my wife and me to get on our laptops at the same time. Additionally, there was LOTS of light with good strong bulbs. Great design. #2 - Hotel Staff - Again, staff has always been pleasant and accommodating ... BUT this visit was because of a Hurricane Irma evacuation, and we were there for an unknown period of time. (It turned out to be six nights). Shannon, the Manager and her group were fantastic. Shannon was everywhere it seemed for the entire time, day and night. The first breakfast we were there, she came around in the dining area with smoothies I hadn't even seen before for everyone. When the power went out (for nine hours only), she led the charge to prepare a cold breakfast but with plenty for all. Whatever we needed ... no matter how many changes of plans ... were all accommodated beautifully. Extra towels, sheets, supplies for the rooms all came instantly. And calls to the front desk were picked up immediately. I don't know how they did it! Shannon could lead a seminar for other location managers on how to do all this and keep everyone happy in some very unfortunate circumstances.
I stayed here for just shy of 2 months for business. I was originally booked for 3 months but due to the impending hurricane our employer had us come home early. The hotel was so accommodating with every detail of my stay. The mix Monday Tuesday and Wednesday evenings was great. Good food a day friendly employees to chat with. They were always asking if anything could be done to improve my stay. Since I left every morning at 5 am I wasn't able to have breakfast but was so thankful that they always had hot and iced coffee available for me. The three weekend breakfast mornings I wasn't working I throughly enjoyed the hot breakfast. The pool and patio was nice and peaceful. There's a nice fire pit and grill and provided many good evenings of conversation. Parking was plentiful and close to the room. My room was on the second floor and was a well appointed king suite. The suite had a full size fridge, stove top, full size dishwasher, cookware, silverware and plates& glasses. I was very happy with the room, staff, hotel and location. Wifi was free and worked well. I will definitely stay here again when my job requires me to be in Jacksonville again.
Clean and updated, with friendly and helpful staff and the included breakfast was better than most similar hotels. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet. Very short drive to the airport, or leave your car here (with the appropriate room rate), and take the shuttle. Shuttle was great, but on return, we did have to wait at the airport for 40 minutes for it since it serves a few properties there.
