Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott Indianapolis Airport

Stayed here for a night for airport purposes. Able to park car and use the airport shuttle for an affordable price. The room was just okay--time to update the archaic plumbing. Met our needs for the night. The pool was WARM and had adequate seating and towels but definitely needs a good scrubbing. Continental breakfast was fine--typical Marriott food. Staff is friendly. Would stay again for airport purposes but definitely wouldn't use it for vacation or honeymoon purposes ;)

Had a great time staying here for a gaming convention with 2 friends. The breakfast was outstanding; it was nice being able to cut down the number of times we were forced to eat out from 3 to 2 for the 2 days we stayed here. Shout out to Sam at the front desk! Thank you for going the extra mile with our requests!

The room was nice and clean. The staff was helpful and friendly. The bed was comfortable and the room was also spacious and had good lighting. It's just about the normal for a Fairfield Inn & Suites which in my opinion are always a decent standard that don't break the bank.

Sam was amazing and always around to answer questions AND she even pitched in to help get food out during a crazy breakfast rush. Since we we're traveling from out of town, we had no idea where we were going to what we were doing. Thank you to the whole staff

We use this hotel when we fly out of the Indianapolis airport. It is close and has always been clean and comfortable. This time we were disappointed. The weather in Indianapolis was below zero and the room was cold on our arrival. We realize that hotels minimally heat all rooms, but we checked in online hours early. It would have been nice to have the room a little warmer. It took several hours for the bed to get comfortably warm. But our real disappointment was the cleanliness. We will give them a pass this time due to the holidays-perhaps they were just overwhelmed with customers. Hopefully they can do a really good cleaning job and the hotel can get back to its usual high standards.

I am trying to figure out where some of these reviews are from. We spent last weekend at this hotel while visiting family. Sam at the front desk was wonderful. She wasn't who checked us in, but she answered any and all questions quickly. We were upgraded to the suite for free. Room was clean. Bed was comfy ( You do need some sheets that fit the bed!) Stephanie cleaned our room and did a nice job. Breakfast was hot and fresh. My daughter and her family recently moved to Indianapolis. This will be our go to hotel.

I'm writing this review as somebody who is a Marriott Gold Elite and typically stays at the budget end of the Marriott spectrum (Fairfield Inns, Towneplace Suites, and Residence Inns). Pros: 1.) Check in was quick. Jay was friendly, personable, and made sure to greet us each and every time we came and went from the lobby. 2.) We had numerous interactions with staff during our 3 day visit with Sam and others who made sure we had everything we need, including going across the street to get us a high chair for our 1 year old when they didn't have one available. This was especially appreciated. 3.) Hotel was quiet, in a good location close to the highway, and close to the airport. Cons: 1.) Breakfast area was WAY too small for a property this size. During 2 of the 3 mornings that we were there, people had to take breakfast with them because there were no seats left to be had. 2.) Pool is in rough shape. The walls are dirty, the lighting is bad, and it just needs to be redone in general. 3.) Rooms are quite dated compared to many other Fairfield Inns. The most recent facelift looks to have only included new carpet throughout the property. In particular, our room had an old heat/AC unit that had trouble keeping the room at the stated temperature, and few missing lightbulbs, and a tired looking couch Overall, the people at this property, from the housekeeper to the breakfast staff are doing great with what they've got, but the property management group needs to put some more money into this property to get it up to par with other Marriott properties. We didn't see anything here that wouldn't bring us back in the future, but would love to see this hotel get a facelift soon.

Someone on the next floor had lead feet and stomped the floor every day but they offered for me to move. They should have asked him to move into another room. I called the front desk and that just made things worst. Several days breakfast was not finished at 5 am. One of the people at the front desk was a real jerk and made excuses for the days breakfast was late. They ran out of regular creamer for 3 days. The cleaning crew was always on time and did a terrific job. wifi was terrible and was almost useless.

This hotel has major issues with room security. Another person was given the same key to my room on the 3rd night I was staying there. They came into my room at 11:30 at night while I was sleeping, then promptly left. The following day, I could not access my room upon returning from work, so I was left wondering if the room access had been truly revoked. Upon bringing this to the attention of the hotel staff, they assured me I would receive a call from the property manager the next day. When I didn't receive the benefit of a call, I wrote Marriott Customer Care twice regarding the same security issues and was advised that I would receive a call from the hotel's Executive Leadership. It's now the 4th day after the incident, and I have received neither a call nor an email. The property also has filthy elevators and hallways - note other reviews that share this same view.

We've stayed here before, as we find it to be a pretty good place with comfortable rooms. It's not too fancy but is clean and has good amenities and is not too far from downtown and the zoo. The free breakfast is healthy and good too. While we rotate our stays between a couple different hotel, it remains on our stay list. It is far enough from the airport that it is quiet. There's a convenience store withing walking distance.
