Just a short drive from most of Indiana puts you and your mate in a romantic atmosphere with a private pool, jacuzzi tub, and steam room - for a fraction of a cost to a private resort on a small island.
Hubby and I had won a stay at a local charity auction and after reading tons of reviews I was worried that I would regret the purchase. Thankfully, that was not the case! We checked in to our suite (#3) on Wednesday night and immediately left to go to an Indians game. Had we known how amazing our suite was we wouldn't have left at all! The suite itself was VERY clean which was my first major concern. When we arrived, music was playing, the lighting was perfect, and the temp. of the room was perfect. We immediately jumped in the pool after checking out the room and it was amazing. Just honestly, every complaint I read about in past reviews (water temp, room temp, cleanliness, uncomfortable bed) was unfounded in our suite. Everything was literally perfect. I was worried it would take forever to fill up the whirlpool and/or that the hot water would run out, but it literally took two minutes if that and the water was crazy hot. PROS: Friendly and HONEST staff (I left my wallet and they called to let me know I had forgotten it and they had it at the front desk) Clean Mood lighting & Music Pool and steam room are AMAZING Individually wrapped toothbrushes and toothpaste and mouthwash in case you forget! Comfy bed Lots of tv channels if for some reason you decide to turn it on (Also for those that complained about the porn: they are separate channels you actually have to type in so no chance of accidentally flipping past a channel) Cons: Massage chair is abnormally tiny The mirror above us creaked a ton at night which scared me to death, but my husband just said it had to do with the temp. changing. Overall: We plan to visit again! Very romantic!!!
Excellent facility to shut out the world and spend quality time with each other. All aspects of luxury at your fingertips. Even in summer the fireplace was an inspiring addition after a swim in the pool.
Ok this is my 10th time being here. Tried the whirlpool room, majestic and pardise rooms. Pardise is far the best as long as you get the right rooms. Some are older and some are newly done but they are all good. Anytime you have an issue they fix it quick. You can get packages or just stay the night . Have to come with a partner or its just pointless.
Clean and comfortable. The stream shower was very relaxing. Comfortable beds and chairs. Staff was cheerful helpful. No problems with anything. We never got to try the whirlpool, maybe next time. Great couples getaway
The chalet was gorgeous. It was a great way to relax and unwind at the end of our vacation. I wish the pool rainfall was warmer but other than that spectacular. We did the late checkout and it was worth the extra $75 to not rush out.
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here. I love that you have your own cottage when you stay! We chose the Paradise Swimming Pool Suite, and it was very clean and comfortable. We loved the swans made out of towels, the chocolate mints, and the radio playing when we walked in. The bed was very comfortable and everything in the suite worked well. Our only complaint was the pool filter was loud and we could not hear the music over it. You have to pay a $30 fee to join the club to stay here. It is a wonderful get away.
My wife and I have been to the Sybaris for a getaway in the past, and it's always a great place to reconnect. Huge whirlpool tub, warm, heated private swimming pool, steamy sauna, flatscreen tv, stereo, lots of mood lighting - all the ingredients for a "forget the world for a day". But the Sybaris is showing it's age. There's a sign in the shower that says "Wait 3 minutes for hot water". It was frigid outside, so it was more like double that. There was another suggestion in the literature to "turn off the hot water - there isn't an endless supply". Why not? In this day and age that shouldn't even be a thought for a business that is 80% "water oriented" and charges upwards of $300 a night. And our whirlpool didn't work. I called the desk and they sent a maintenance guy out who must have flipped the breaker back on, but why would that happen in the first place? And the fireplace we enjoyed last time we visited has been replaced by a faux fireplace - no flame so no cozy warmth. How about a grab bar for assistance getting in and out of the hot tub? We'll probably be back, but we won't go with the same anticipation anymore.
Upon arrival our biggest fear was that our sweet would be a bit dated. The concept is amazing, but based on what we saw online, we knew what we were in for. True to form, our sweet had a nostalgic feel but it somewhat added to the charm. The front desk was awesome. Very friendly and informative. Our suite itself was pristine! Very clean and comfortable. Everything worked as planned...well almost everything. Upon arrival our pool had recently been refilled so that means it was going to take more time to heat up to the advertised 92 degrees. That time was a lot longer than anticipated so they ended up giving us four more hours to stay prior to our departure because they were completely booked for that day. Aside from that mishap, we had a great time. We enjoyed the pool for a brief time that night, relaxed in the steam room, enjoyed the jacuzzi tub, and the comfort of our bed. Even ordered food to our suite which the service had no problem locating us. There are things that around Sybaris so do not fret if you do not want to order out but I suggest doing so, only so you can get the most for your money. Please note that this location is about 20 or so minutes from downtown Indy so plan accordingly. Great time overall. We look forward to visiting other locations. First class establishment.
We were wanting to get away and relax and this was worth the 3 hour drive! We stayed one night in the whirlpool room and one night in the pool room. Wow the pool room is just amazing. You have a pool with rain above it if you want, steam shower, jacuzzi, massage chair, and more. We will be back!
