Quinta Real Huatulco

Wonderful quiet hotel for relaxing get-a-away

I would highly recommend this hotel. It is in a beautiful location with great views of the ocean in front and the mountains at its back. While if is showing some signs of age it is well maintained and the staff are very friendly and attentive. Very good food at the hotel restaurants, relaxing infinity pool, clean comfortable rooms. You do need to take a shuttle to get to the pool and beach area due to the hotel's location on the top of a hill but it is very easy to do this. Walking is always an option as well if you don't mind the incline or stairs that you need to climb. Because of the small number of rooms it feels very private and exclusive. We thoroughly enjoyed our visits and would love to go back.

Hotel Santa Cruz Huatulco

A nice, clean and basic hotel

The hotel is very conveniently located within walking distance from the marina Sta Cruz, it is also 15-20 mins taxi/drive from downtown Huatulco (where some of the most popular restaurants, souvenir stores and markets are) and major bus stations (aprox 30-45 mins away from the airport). It has a nice pool/ restaurant area with plenty of chairs and covered seats, as well as suntanning areas. It has an under construction gym with a couple treadmills a spinning bike and elliptical machines, barely anything else, no AC, but several windows. You have to ask the front desk to open the door for you, though. Has green areas that also serve as children's playground. There is also a pool table that you can access free of charge. Wi fi available, but the signal strength varies according to your room location, there are different ones for different areas of the hotel nonetheless. You can have an all inclusive package, which I didn't get, so about the food included wouldn't be able to give a review. However, we had some appetizers that were beyond expected and cheaper. Drinks at the bar are, I guess, standard, but the prices are reasonable, not a super wide variety of liquors, but good enough for a drink before bed or while at the pool. Now, the room. I got a double-double bed room, for me and my mom. The space is nice, a little tight for my standards, but I have to say that I mostly stay at hotels in the US, which by definition are more spacious. We were given a room down the main floor, right at the end of it. It was a little dark, but had a window to the garden (no balcony space or terrace like...). Small flat screen with standard cable tv, fan, AC, and telephone. The signal for the internet was weak most of the time, but youtube videos would still run. The bathroom was clean, but dated, which gave it a feeling of... dunno, probably the least favorite part of the room for me, no fan to clear the shower steam, and with humidity, it made it a little uncomfortable. The amenities there were barely any, the tp was kinda rationed to a roll per day; the soap, I didn't even tried it since I'm extremely sensitive, neither did I smell the shampoo, but would certainly recommend to bring your own. Towels ok, and were changed every day as per request. Pool towels provided, but forbidden to leave the hotel. Clean sheets and comfy beds. Soft pillows and the mattress firm but not hard. Taxis, ATMs, restaurants and a public beach are within walking distance, and it seems it has a beach club, which I didn't ask for, nor was I informed was available.

Hotel Marina Resort

Lindo Pasaje - Good trip/stay

Very nice stay. Two problems: 1. They need to know how to convert Pesos to Dollars. More importantly they need to allow that conversion. 2. Staff should learn to smile a bit!
