Buyer be aware! Originally I booked a 14 night stay here; however, I got ill at the beginning with a cold and was treated terribly by staff, even called offensive names in Spanish, which I can speak. It was impossible to talk to a manager, get assistance or even clean water. All food was down a long, steep ramp which is fine if you are mobile. I was unable to access food or water for 24 hours and ended up checking out 10 days early and staying at another hotel in Santa Cruz where I had been before. The views and beach are amazing but the water is not for swimming. Beach and pool chairs are in poor repair and the towels provided are inadequate especially for the temperature and humidity. Staff generally ignored me in the dining room. Folks with mobility issues or poor health would be unable to navigate this property and even if you could get a shuttle, the pool and bathrooms are accessible only by stairs. I did not get any of my money back despite myself and Expedia trying to contact the property to explain and formally request it.

The beach was beautiful, the room was very nice Food was well below average, no taste, no quality of ingredients. Bartenders unable to make a decent drink. Cheap beer warm and cooled with ice so not a plesent drink at all. Cocktails were basically ice in a blender. It is a long walk from the rooms and into the restaurant/pool area with an uphill challenge on the way back The hotel is advertised as Free WiFi - upon check in reception staff informed the rooms are largely not wifi enabled - we were unable to get a WiFi signal anywhere at the hotel so if you plan/need to do some work, forget about this place They are happy to charge a full price for day 1 even when you arrive at 22:00 and all services are closed but on last day, despite my package return flight for 19:05 we had to check out, brazalete removed and no possibility of food or drink after 11:00 check out I will not come back to this hotel and would not recommend. I have been to far better places for the same price.

This is an absolutely lovely property with the sweetest staff. Everyone is incredible welcoming and kind. Both beaches are stunning and very quiet, awesome for looking at seashells and body surfing. We had an amazing time and felt extremely safe, but I truly cannot stress enough that it is the staff who make this resort truly remarkable. As well as the beautiful nature and delicious food!! Absolutely amazing time here, thank you to everyone.

Overall we had a great stay, the room was clean with air conditioning, awesome pool/beach, food was pretty good, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The resort is calm and mostly quiet which is great, and the spa treatments are 10/10. Only downside was the wifi didn’t work very well unless down by the restaurant.

I was expecting something much better for the price we paid. I had traveled to a lesser priced resorts with much better options. First the lobby area is really something out of normal a 10'X6' area on the outside really? Room for the most part was clean the service people really do a good job. No wifi in my case I need to do some work on my computer, and I have to connect through my iPhone hot spot. cell service was also poor cell tower too far. there is only one restaurant for the whole resort or Hotel however you want to call. 1 bar on the top area of the pool that opens in the afternoon. Food was okay. Except you have walk almost 1/2 of mile through up and down bridges in order to get to the pool and restaurant. there was a small refrigerator with 2 seven up cans for the whole time you are there if you drink them in the first day that is it you will have to buy your own after that, they never refill the little fridge. If you want a bottle of water, you have to pay for and was very hard to find one. I was very discouraging and disappointed of the whole package. Huatulco was very nice to visit planning on comeback except to a different hotel.

The property is beautiful, offering stunning views and a clean, well-maintained resort. A standout feature is the private beach, which we thoroughly enjoyed, and the staff were generally friendly and attentive. That said, there are a few areas for improvement. The distance between the rooms and key areas like the dining area, pool, and beach can be a bit inconvenient, as it involves quite a long walk. Additionally, there is significant construction happening around the property, which detracts slightly from the overall experience. One concern was the towel inspection process. The staff thoroughly inspect returned towels for stains or damage and make it clear there are charges for anything that doesn't meet their standards. Unfortunately, the towels themselves are visibly worn, which adds to the frustration. We even had an issue where a towel we hadn’t used was stained, and it became a bigger deal than it should have been. Because of this, we chose not to use the hotel-provided towels for the pool or beach. Lastly, there were some temporary water issues in a few rooms, but the staff worked quickly to resolve them, which we appreciated. Overall, it’s a lovely resort with beautiful scenery, but some operational policies and logistical challenges affected our experience. With a few adjustments, this could be an even more enjoyable place to stay.

Coral Blue is a pretty nice hotel, average in my opinion, with some need to upgrade and improved maintenance. The room was clean and modern, AC and ceiling fan help at night. The food is average, but not bad. No other dining option from the daily buffet, unfortunately, and no restaurants nearby. Good selection of entrees, but not very imaginative, and pretty bland. Staff is awesome, very friendly and helpful, some speak a bit of English but all are eager to assist you and are patient if you can't quite make yourself understood. At Christmas this hotel is frequented mostly by Mexican families so it really felt like we were "in the thick of it". Very enjoyable. Great snorkeling on two private beaches, but watch for the tide and surge. Safe for kids near shore, excellent for confident swimmers a bit farther out. Bring lots of Pesos in smaller denominations as tips are not included. I had to go to town to find an ATM three times. Coral Blue is in the Huatulco National Park, and unless you have a car, you can't really get anywhere unless you call a taxi. They are cheap and quick though. On the property there is little else to do except lounging at the pool or beach, snorkeling and taking one of the three little kayaks for a spin around the bay. The home-made ping-pong table is okay if you are bored, and the pool table is challenging because it is lop-sided and broken in the middle. They have a spa but we did not try it.
