The staff was wonderful; very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable, well maintained, clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay (including comfortable beds). The breakfast buffet was amazing. Each morning it offered a variety of healthy, well prepared breakfast food and fresh omelets. The assortment was very agreeable to those who had special dietary needs and offered an assortment of foods for vegetarians, those who are lactose intolerant and also for those who need a gluten free diet. This was very helpful because of the varied dietary needs of our family. The fresh baked chocolate chip cookies offered in the afternoon were delicious and were a nice surprise.
This was such a cheap price I was shocked at how good it was. I stayed at Weston Oaks for a couple of days for business then moved here as a lower cost alternative. I expected a lower standard but it was actually better. Perfect rooms, so convenient, clean and private. I will definitely return
I attended an event two blocks for this hotel. I ended up choosing this hotel because of the good reviews and also because they don't have an expensive tag for the parking. I spent only one night and it was an overall a good experience. I took the king bed room. The room has a very nice shower, a little kitchen, a separate living room. It's convenient for longer stays. At the garage, there are plenty of spots. (I parked at the 3rd floor). My only disappointment was that the hotel's shuttle service (3 miles radius) is not available during the weekend. I had to do some last mn arrangements. Breakfast is okay. I didnt try the omelette station. If i visit Houston again (Galleria area), I would consider this hotel
the rooms are very cute and clean, however they are very small and the air conditioner is extremely loud. the bathroom is in the bedroom which is ok but it is very small, and the shower there is no way to turn it on without getting soaked! Staff is great though
Had the misfortune of being in town during the Houston Flooding. This staff though short hands and running on fumes were so accommodating that completely forgot that for a period we were actually struck there while the streets were flooded. Once the waters resided it wasn't long before the parking lots were power washed and there were no signs that water had nearly reached the front door.
Worst staff. Dirty rooms. I would never stay at this hotel again.
Great hotel, the only thing that we can think of that is negative is that we weren't expecting to pay for parking. We did not realize it, or maybe we overlooked it when booking. It was well worth it, but wasn't considered when we were looking for specific price ranges.
It is a pretty busy hotel. Everytime I go to the front desk, there's people checking in. Despite the constant activity, they are quick with service and all are requests have been fulfilled. The room is a decent size though the configuration is odd. When you open the sofa bed there's little room to get in the bedroom (we had room 130- a 1 bedroom suite). The kitchen is well-equipped with a convection oven/ microwave, dishwasher, coffeemaker and a stovetop. They also have a full size refrigerator with an ice maker (though ours didn't work). There's a resto bar from 5-10pm and a complimentary breakfast that serves everything you can ever want for breakfast- bagels, bread, eggs, meat (bacon/ sausage) yogurt, potatoes, fresh fruits, cottage cheese, oatmeal, cereals, Seattles Best coffee, Tazo teas and an oatmeal bar. They have a fitness center which we didn't get to try but the equipment inside looks brand new. An outdoor pool which we didn't get to use because of chilly temps at night (an indoor pool would be nice). The garage is $16/day pricey but secure. They do have a shuttle that can bring you anywhere within 3 mile radius although it's not available on weekends. I will definitely stay again if come back to Houston or try other Hyatt Place locations. Now I just have to apply for their rewards card.
The staff was incredible. I was there as a last minute bday trip and the atmosphere was awesome. Close to the galleria, eateries, and even more shopping!! The front desk recommended a restaurant and they gave a free appetizer as well. The breakfast was also pretty good. I would definitely stay again!
Nice homely atmosphere, quiet place and good eating places walking distance. Alternatively, you can cook and eat-in.
As a last-minute fun trip for My son and I, we wanted a clean hotel without spending a fortune. Hyatt has always been good to us and this experience was just what we were looking for. The room was clean and all staff that we interacted with had the professionalism of a higher-end hotel. All the ladies at the desk were smiling and helpful. When Google Maps directed me on the freeway during rush hour, they offered a route through the neighborhood that allowed us to see the local culture and arrive at our restaurant earlier. When my son wanted to watch a DVD he brought, the mantenance man had a player set up in our room when we returned. There was a full kitchen, full size refrigerator, walk-in closet. a nice set-up, especially for long stays. There is an unannounced fee for parking but, you're in a safe, covered, secure garage in downtown Houston. The piece-of-mind is worth it. I would definitely return.
I usually expect more when walking into a Hyatt. Staff was nice but the hotel was underwhelming.
Came here for a week-long business trip. The rooms are nice & clean, and had free WiFi. The gym was also decent for a hotel gym. One negative is that I didn't know i had pay for parking. Although I probably missed the fine print somewhere, it wasn't made clear to me when i checked it.
Overall was above average, but the location was very convenient.
Nice relaxing! No hot tub though but a nice fire pit
Very good location! The staff is very helpful! The kitchen in the room is really useful! Just be aware of the parking fee.
Great service and amenities, also very close to great restaurants and the Galleria
Every body was nice and pleasant the room was comfortably furnished and expect for the person upstairs stomping around at midnight and 400am
Me and my girlfriend wanted a place to stay that we could stay in the room and cook and watch movies and it was a perfect room with a modern kitchen with very nice appliances and fully equipped. We never had to leave it was awesome.
I live in Houston and spent a few days away with my fiancee here and we wanted a place with a kitchen so we could cook for each other and stay in the room it was better than I expected!
