JW Marriott Houston Downtown

Good for overnight stay. Room was small, the view from the "RiverWalk view" was of building construction...very little of the RiverWalk. I feel the advertising of RiverWalk access from the hotel to have been misleading....gives the impression that you can walk right out to the RiverWalk which is what I wanted and why I choose this Marriott Hotel. The coffee pot in the room was broken, etc. Next time I'd choose to stay at another hotel.

Rooms are very well appointed and have a luxury feel. The restaurant I Has some of the best dining options of any hotel-based restaurant in Houston. The gym is very well equipped and large. The spa is also very accommodating and not overpriced. Finally, the staff is extremely friendly and professional.

My wife and I decided to stay here one night since we're season ticket holders at tuts and it would be easier to just head home the next morning (we live about 40 min from downtown). I must say that this hotel is one of my favorites. Very stylish, clean, incredible service from the staff. The Bathroom is modern and impeccably clean. The food was fantastic and you can find anything you need from the complimentary iPad that's in your room.

The hotel is amazing, everything is so good... Every employees are dedicated and so educated.. The location is good with many restaurants, pubs, etc in few minutes.. In this time I was in 1501 room and que view was not good.. It is better when you are in another side from hotel

I love JW Marriott Hotels - I have not had a bad experience yet - this JW Marriott is no exception. If you need to be in Houston and need a quality hotel in the center of the City I highly recommend this hotel.

This is my new favorite hotel in Houston, which I visit often on business. Upon check in you are greeted with friendly faces and glass of champagne topped with a little pomegranate juice. What a nice treat after a long day. The elevators are small due to retrofitting to the original building design - it's a cool industrial look though. The rooms are wonderful - modern appointments, an ipad for browsing or ordering the hotel services, luxurious bedding, slippers/robe, etc table for working or hanging out. The gym is spacious with plenty of new machines and free weights - well lit and inviting. The concierge lounge is also one of the biggest I've seen in a Marriott property. A nice mix of tables, shared space, couches, work desks and spread of food and drinks. The bar/restaurant area is inviting and lively, with decent food options and friendly bartenders (Jamarcus was patient with my indecisiveness with wine and food ordering!). This hotel has a nice touch of modern, while maintaining a historic feel (check out the 2nd floor conference room areas to see what I mean!). It is right near the metro/trolley, so request a high floor away from the street. Will be heading back again for more nights here!

First visit to this property and we enjoyed it very much. Thank you for the outstanding service and we will certainly put this J W Marriott at the top of our list when we visit Houston again. It was a great job by all we can into contact with.

Spent an evening here on July 5th. From top to bottom, the customer service was a 10 out of 10. Valet, Concierge, Front Desk, Customer Service, Marriott Executive Lounge.. everyone was incredible. Our stay was beyond amazing and I give credit to the customer service. Rooms and Amenities were top notch. Thank you.

Had a quick break away and loved every minute. All you would expect from a J W Marriott. Top class service from valet parking to room service. Staff really top class. You cannot get a more central location and the run blue of trams may disturb some we found it rhythmic rather than disturbing. Great sleep quality and stylish decor. Cannot wait to return.

My husband and I went to Houston for a wedding and stayed in a King room. The staff was on point, from the valet parking to the reception representative. It was raining pretty strong and they did all they could to make our arrival as comfortable as possible. We enjoyed the room very much. It was very modern and clean.
