The property was close and convenient without being in a loud part of the city. The room and common areas were clean. The only complaint would be that there was either renovations or really loud guest above us moving furniture around early. I really think it was other guest.

The property is very beautiful, clean, and aesthetic. The front desk staff as well as the guest at the property were very helpful, and kind. Valet parking was an additional fee, but valet staff was quick to retrieve our vehicle. We booked a family suite room, and not only was it very spacious , it was very clean and the décor was very cute. Our room faced the oceanside along Kalakaua Ave., and the scenery was very beautiful at night. I would definitely book another room at this hotel again.

Hotel? More like MOTEL To start off, this is not a four-star hotel. I would consider this a motel as I have stayed in many hotels. Don’t let the Hilton name fool you, this is just a run of the mill Motel that is maybe 2.5 stars. I will break it down with some pros and cons and let you decide if this place is right for you. Cons: When I first arrived at the hotel, I was informed there would be a $100 a night charge for incidentals. On Expedia, there was only a mention of a $200 deposit. When I told the lady who was working at the front desk this, she laughed at me and said, “I don’t know where you heard that.” It added up to a $700 hold on my credit card for the entirety of my trip. Also, the park right outside the door is full of homeless people. It gets sketchy at night. In addition, it was a very noisy hotel, probably the noisiest hotel I’ve ever been in. Our room was located right above the valet parking and the hotel lobby. All night long we heard doors slamming, car alarms going off, and the trash truck picking up at 5:30 AM on Tuesday mornings. Be prepared, it was extremely loud! Also, a speaker that was positioned right by our balcony was playing music throughout the day and evening. Finally, they advertise giving free beach rentals (chairs, umbrellas, etc). Get ready for a long walk! These are not given at the hotel but at a shop located between a 20-30 minute walk from the hotel. Pros: Fort DeRussy beach and park were within a 10 minute walk.

We loved our stay at the Ambassador! The location is great, you can easily walk to the surrounding beaches and the shopping center/restaurants area. It's quiet, the amenities are great - our family ended every day in the pool and we loved it.

The only postive about this hotel is the bed were comfortable. The staff are rude and unfriendly. House keeping poor it too 4 days before someone came to make up our room that was after i rang and asked. When they came all she did was vacuum and flush the toilet that waz it. I rang to ask for clean towels that took 3 hours. There is no instant coffee or tea and they give you paper cups. They have the hide to charge resort fees but don't give anything for that. We stayed 14 days would NOT recommend this hotel. If you want service in which you payed for this is not what you get. Been to Hawaii 8 tomes in the past 6 years and this was our worst experience. They kept saying they cant do anything as we booked through a 3rd party so now i don't know if i would book through expedia again.

The man who checked us in was odd, told me i had to pay an extra 400 down when i showed up even though i payed online already. he looked very nervous. come to find out, i never had to pay 400. The bathtub drain also did not work, had to wait overnight for the water to go down. valet parking was great however. the other workers i spoke with were great at their job. i did not like the first guy that told me i had to pay an extra 400, he was not willing to talk about why either. didn't seem he knew why himself. he said "because there's a nightly resort fee".

Clean hotel, with excellent service all around. Great location, walking distance to Waikiki Beach, restaurants, and shopping. Overall, we had a wonderful experience with the Waikiki Ambassador!
