I knew we'd be exhausted from a very long day on the road so I splurged and booked a king suite for $20 more than a regular room. It was SO worth it! Our bedroom was separate from the rest of the suite and we had a 'TV room' with a sofa that included a chaise lounge on one end and footstools for the other two seats. The TV room was so comfortable that we debated getting take-out for dinner just to enjoy it. The rooms were all spotless. There was a large whirlpool tub in the bath along with a separate writing desk along the hallway. The desk clerk was wonderful. He was welcoming and personable. My husband went down later to get menus and had the same impression of the clerk as I did. We both said that the clerk was exactly who we'd want to hire if we had a business. Linens were great, the breakfast included hot breakfast foods like sausages, and most importantly, we slept really well. The A/C unit worked well, and we didn't hear any traffic noise. The WiFi was not password protected so I didn't use it. Last, the hotel is easy to get to and is conveniently located.
I have stayed at this hotel 3 times for business. Each time my stay has been exceptional. The staff is pleasant and outgoing. The hotel has a great location and is a newer property. Rooms are spacious and have large bathrooms. Large desk for computer work. Beds are very comfortable. Hot breakfast is very good. One of the best values in Hattiesburg!!!
I had a great stay here. The front desk clerk was personable and professional, the room was bigger than expected, with a large couch and chaise lounge, there were lots of channels on the TV, which was missing a remote, but a quick call to the front desk and they remedied it immediately. Location was great, right off the main drag in Hattiesburg (ok the only drag in Hattiesburg). I'd gladly stay again!
We were traveling to NOLA and wanted to break up the drive. Planned ahead to stay here as it was conveniently located to the restaurant we had chosen. Room was comfortable & clean, first floor & handicap accessible.
We were in town to visit family for a week, and everyone was fantastic! The hotel is clean, the staff is very friendly and the price was more than reasonable. We were most impressed with the staff. Pat, Tiffany and Sherry were wonderful, but honestly every employee greeted you with a smile and were more than happy to help. If you are looking for customer service, stop here!
Great hotel. Ginormous room! I made a last minute reservation when I was too tired to drive any further, and Sherry (GM) and Patrick took good care of me. Pleasant staff and yummy breakfast. Loved the bathroom set up too. I would definitely stay again!
The hotel is undergoing renovation, so there is some minor inconvenience with all the work going on. The workers slamming their door (multiple times) at 4 am wasn't pleasant. The highway noise was bothersome, as well as all the hallway light that blasted in the room from around the lack of seals around the door. I stuffed towels as best I could to darken the room. The breakfast bar doesn't have any juice. Not sure if that is due to the construction or that is the norm. The individual behind the counter when we arrived was very friendly and helpful. There are multiple restaurants within a very short walking distance.
Checked in on 9/19/2016. Went down the back stairs and the perimeter door was broken (would not lock). Went to other perimeter door and it was broken. Front Desk Clerk was Apologetic but he could not do a lot. I wanted him to ensure the manager was notified. Long Story Short. No security, Manager does not care and your family is in danger.
Our room was nice and spacious. There was a large L shaped couch/ communal area with a microwave and mini fridge. We slept like kings and queens. Nice complimentary breakfast, pretty standard. The hotel was close to lots of food and coffee options as well. Would definitely stay here again.
I arrived at this hotel at 8pm in the evening after a long day of travel and work expecting to be able to swiftly check in and get settled for the night. I get to the desk and the lady working there askes for my name, she plugs the info into her computer and then tells me I don't have a reservation, I know I do and give her the confirmed reservation number from Choice Hotels booking, she puts it in and still tells me she can't find it and then offers to book me into the nearby Baymont Inn or Clarion. I ask her why I can't get a room at the hotel where I had a confirmed reservation and she tells me because of the "world series" being played in town that they sold out that morning. I ask why wasn't my reservation honored and she tells me she can't find it and asks again if I'd like her to get me a room at the Clarion or Baymont Inn. I ask her about the local sleep and she doesn't even know it exists but she gets the info and then calls and gets me a room. A few minutes after she does this that confirmed reservation I had is suddenly showing as cancelled. I've never been treated this way at any Choice Hotel let alone at a Comfort Suites and I will never do business with this hotel again.
