I made a reservation months ago. I still have the confirmation on the site. They said I called and cancelled. She lied and gave my reservation to someone else. I literally showed her my current reservation in the on the webpage. She laughed and said again that I cancelled. So I had to go across town to a dump because there was nowhere else available. My 3 year old is in tears due to being on the road 8 hours and here we are staying in a craphole. Did I mention according to their booking that I am going to be charged for the room? I don't think so.
On our way back home to FL from Texas we stayed one night in this Super 8. The lobby and the room (104) were clean, the staff was friendly and helpful with directions to a restaurant that they recommended. An interesting coincidence...in room 104, above the first bed, was a beautiful picture of the last mansion we toured in Natchez...Longwood. The breakfast the next morning was mediocre...2 kinds of cereal, pre-made waffles to heat in a toaster, yogurts and sweet rolls...coffee, juices and milk.
We were on the road and still a long way from home. Looked for the closest place to sleep for the night. It would have to do when you're tired. Close to restaurants and gasoline stations. Just off the highway.
i really enjoyed my 6 week stay at super 8 hattisburg north, the staff was awesome!!!!!. they kept our rooms clean based on our schedule we were working nights. the room was dark ac cold, it was a great room to sleep during the day. no bonus points awarded for stay that is why i do not give it a 5 star rating
Courteous staff and helpful. Clean room with refrigerator and microwave. TV was flatscreen with fair programming. Not much of a breakfast meal but coffee was good and hot. Bed was okay nothing great. I would use it again3
Stayed just for a rest on a long haul. Busier than expected - accidentally booked a smoking room instead of non-smoking and when we arrived (very late) they didn't have anything else available. Room was modest, but clean other than faint smell of smoke - to be expected in a smoking room.
Traveling north due to interrupted Florida visit, we needed to find a motel along our route. This Super 8 was a very fortunate selection. A late night check in was handled very efficiently by night clerk Anna. The room assigned was 118, in the building further most from the roadway, This is a double queen room. Bed was very comfortable and shower was equally enjoyable, Following morning breakfast was adequate but less than average by current standards. This is second Super 8 we used this late winter season and we will continue to consider this franchise.
Everything was great, very clean and comfortable. WiFi didn’t stay connected or within range of the room we were in but it was no big deal bc we didn’t spend much time in the room.
After a very long drive, I was pleasantly met by a woman at the front desk who was friendly and helpful. I wasn't expecting much from the room, but I was surprised by its modern vibe. At checkout, there was a man who was also friendly and went out of his way to help me. Overall, I had a great visit.
Arrived in Hattiesburg late; since I belong to the Wyndham rewards decided to check out Super 8. The receptionist, an older woman, was very friendly, but also did a hard sell about the value and price of their hotel. "No, I wouldn't find anything cheaper, and if I did it would be a dive". There was a Budget Hotel down the road, and although I didn't actually check it out ( I was tired) it was half the price. The 'discounted' senior rate I was quote was 70.00, way too much in my opinion. With tax I paid over 75.00 for this budget, no frills, simple room. It was clean, but it was very very basic. Breakfast was cold breakfast of cereal, some old apples in the basket, toast, and there were a couple of sweet rolls. I felt really overcharged and would never stay here again, and I doubt I will stay in Super 8 again. Days Inn, part of the same chain, is cheaper, and ever so much better. I think the thing that bothered me so much was that the receptionist heaped flattery on me, how handsome, shocked someone hadn't taken me by now, etc. I would rather had the 49.99 rate it was worth, than the 69.99 which it was not worth by any stretch of the imagination.
