Good location and with nice view. Wonderful time at the Sheraton Qiandao Lake. Very nice and clean room. Beautiful view of the lake from the balcony. Service are good. The staffs are willing for help. Strongly recommend this hotel!!!
Had a wonderful time at the Sheraton Qiandao Lake, the room was very nice and the balcony had a beautiful view of the water. The service was excellent, everyone from the check in counter to the breakfast staff to the happy hour team in the lobby lounge took great care of us. We had 2 rooms, the standard lake view room was very nice. But the spacious balcony in our suite was a real treat, a great place to sit out and relax and enjoy the view. Even though the weather was overcast/rainy our entire weekend, the view remained beautiful as the mist shrouded mountains resembled scenes from a Chinese watercolor painting. The hotel is a wonderful value in the off-peak season, a great weekend getaway from Shanghai or Hangzhou. Staff were very helpful in suggesting a nice walk in the hills not far from the hotel, TianYu park. A very nice 3 hour excursion suitable for all, including active seniors. At the top we found beautiful views over the lake. Note that this is a very family friendly hotel - spacious indoor and outdoor pools and game areas for the kids. Breakfast area also follows along this theme, with Hello Kitty and cartoon characters posted all around.
Booked two suite for a short stay on 23 Feb for 2 days. Superb value during low seasons. Services are good. Strongly recommend to go for Lake view suite which have a great view. Performance at Lobby lounge at night is fantastic with professional singer, thumb up! it's a great place to stay, will be back..
the position of the sheraton is nice...very close to the lake..overlooking the water.great views.the food at the restaurant could use some improvement..and also it would be nice if more people understood english..ok for a quaick visit..but not 5 star..
check in: stayed here on jan 2 for 1 night with my parents. had a major problem at check in when the front office staff couldn't find my reservation. then she asked her manager to help. the manager Jimmy Xu couldn't find my reservation either n I showed him my confirmation email sent by the hotel. he then made a few calls n was very patient even his duty phone kept ringing at the same time. he wanted to make sure he sorts out my check in first. also his English was very good as I can't really speak mandarin. in the end he sorted out my room n was very polite throughout although I kept rushing him. thank you mr. Jimmy Xu :) I hope that reservation team will not make such mistake again in the future as it brings inconvenience to the guests lobby: dated n quite dark (but that's common in China hotels) location: great location. just a 5 min stroll to the city centre 新安大街. loads of shops to shop around n loads of restaurants that specialise in fish heads service: yet overall service at this hotel is of high standard. all staff wear a smile n was very friendly room: relatively new, clean n spacious room. nice bathroom with a bathtub n shower cubicle. comfy bed with feathery duvet. there's a large balcony with chairs n a table that allows u to just sit n relax looking out to the stunning lake view. everything is just so peaceful n out of the world restaurant: tried feast for breakfast n they hv a huge variety of food. only comment is that I wish they don't precook the eggs as it's always better to have made to order eggs if I visit thousand island lake again I'll choose to stay with this hotel again!
I was stay in this hotel with my family, staff was friendly and warmly, hotel upgrade the room to suite with a wonderful lake veiw for SPG member, room is tidy and nice, my son was very like the kids club where is located on lobby.
Stayed at the hotel this past weekend. The actual hotel and location are great, but in the end can't justify the cost. The whole weekend we complained about more than half the pool being closed (the part with the pool bar, the best part). Given different answers from maintenance to security issues to lifeguard staffing issues. We were eventually told that the pool is always partially closed. All of which made me feel I was being lied to constantly. On top of that, on our last day one of the awful parents of the many kids at the pool allowed their child to stand up on the side and pee directly into the pool as people were swimming in it. I've been in China a long time. I expect to see things like this (although I never have before and did not expect the first time to be at a Sheraton). What bothers me is that I seemed to be the only one outraged by it, and no one bothered to talk to the parents until I complained to management. It felt like the standards at this hotel are just way too low, and I will associate Sheratons in China with this experience for a long, long time. To their credit, staff seemed to genuinely try to make things better after problems occur. And I can't really blame the quality of their guests on them, but I think it's important for staff to consistently set the tone for what is acceptable. The first response I got was "it already happened, nothing you can do".
Came here for a Triathlon race. We always love the natural topography of Qiandao that make this place such a lovely playground for outdoor sport lovers. The hotel is set in a great location & we had a lovely view from our room. We also enjoyed our meals in the Chinese restaurant & Lobby breakfast. We mostly had fairly exemplary service, except for the checking in service. Only a slight hiccup in locating our booking, but very poorly managed by a very unhelpful & unresourceful reception staff which led to a Bad First Impression. Thankfully the Manager in charge was around to resolve the matter before it could have been blown up further. Perhaps better Servicing training is required for such personnels.
This resort style hotel with breathtaking views across the lake to distant islands an mountains beyond and its grand proportions is designed to fit naturally into the environment is real value for money and delivers an unforgettable hotel experience. Unfortunately my stay was only for one night but I made the most of that short time.
