I was in this hotel for a company convention. This is a very spectacular place. No doubt on this. Rooms are pretty large and comfortable. Bathroom is very well equipped with a large glass transparent wall versus the bedroom. Staff is attentive to the customer needs, even if not all can speak an acceptable English. Breakfast buffet is very good and high quality. Remarkable the selection of fresh made juices

Spent three days in this hotel for a company international convention. Arrived in the middle of morning and got early check in despite being before earlier than qualified time. Not being a room available, got also upgrade into a suite. Very nice environment that gives you the feeling of being a special place. Breakfast served at 5th place is adequate and various in offer. Facilities for meetings are excellent and service and support is speedy and aligned to needs. The billboard room is big and ready to support big events. The hotel is close to the river (allowing running sessions at km0 from start) and to a big outlet for the shopping addicted. Distance from airport is estimated in 25 min no traffic.

Service and structure very good average/below average the rest Pros Service, the personnel try their best to be nice and helpful The Hotel structure is very nice and rooms ok Cons Quality of breakfast buffet: bad (BIG MINUS) Thermostat in the room: working randomly Coffee maker in the room: like the thermostat Gym: small and TV not working in the treadmills (tried 2 both with same problems) Internet: slow and no vpn Complicated system of elevators (from first floor need to take two elevators to reach the room...Hotel should be based on convenience) A lot of room for improvements

Stay was very comfortable. Received great service throughout my stay from Lisa Zhu. Modern hotel that is well maintained. If not during rush hour, it's 30 minutes from the airport and pretty much 100 RMB. Gym, like others have commented, is somewhat small but has most equipment that you'll need. Smith machine, dumbbells up to 50-60 lbs or so and plenty of cardio machines. Steam room and dry sauna work very well, but just make sure you ask the fitness centre staff to turn them on in advance to get up to the proper temperature.

The hotel deserves five stars just for its amazing architecture - an 18 story high golden globe that is out of this world. The inside is just as amazing as the outside - a giant atrium that will leave you speechless. The lobby and the restaurant are on the fifth floor, and the swimming pool and gym on the 18th. The room in which we stayed was more like a suite, spacious and modern - and the view of the CBD (Central Business District) was wonderful. This is arguably one of the most unique hotels in the world, and a pleasure to stay in. The customer service as well was, as expected, outstanding. The hotel is easily accessed by the green line of the subway. Get off at the Civic Center, and you can't miss it. The area around the hotel is a dream for those interested in modern architecture, starting with the "Balcony of Hangzhou" - the ramp beside the river which was made into a large plaza overlooking the southern side of the city, and continuing with the Hangzhou Grand Theater and the Raffles City buildings. The Civic Center itself, with its five connected towers, is a guarded government facility with no access to the public. There is a large outlet mall underground between the hotel and the Grand Theater, and an amazing light show at night (see a separate post).

For a confernce on innovation and future industry I stayed in this hotel. It is a marvellous hotel like a complete golden ball. It is very beautiful well located near the river. The breakfast is outstanding with a lot of very good food and a large variety. From eggs any style, to noodle soup, bread and good food. the dinner buffet is also splendid with large shrimp made "a la plancha" infront of you or piece of deliciois beef. It must be tested when you are passing through this town for business

I stayed here for a 3 Day Conference in their Conference Center. Beautiful hotel, breathtaking lobby, centrally located and fantastic service. Full gym, pool and exercise facility. You can walk out the back door to unlimited shopping and the river walk. Excellent stay, I didn’t want to leave.

The Intercontinental Hangzhou is a nice hotel and one that is located well when it comes to business related activities. Right next to the hotel you can find several shopping malls that include good restaurants with both business and family settings. The hotel itself has very nice rooms and the upgrade ones are even nicer (as you would expect). Overall, very good value for the money.

Love this hotel! I am not one for interior spaces in hotels - I find them mostly pretentious and a waste of real estate - but for some reason, I gawked at the interior of this golden globe each time I left my room. It is really something; maybe a cameo in a Bond-esque movie is in its future. My room was massive, with a wonderful view of the river. I stood there and plotted how I would make Bond talk once I captured him. Billy at the Front Desk stands out - he was willing to help on whatever matter he could, including walking me downstairs and showing me the best way to find a convenience store (as opposed to just rattling off instructions). Beware, the area in which the hotel sits is a sterile CBD. There is nothing to do outside the hotel, but I was happy to stay put.

A modern luxurious hotel with unique architectural design located in the business district of Hangzhou. Spacious rooms, full of amenities. Magnificent river view. A huge "Outlet" shopping mall with direct access from hotel premises. An underground station 5 minutes walking distance. If you have a properly located room, you can watch the incredible night Light Show directly from you room window.
