Everything and everybody at this property just works perfectly and in complete harmony. The guest accommodation, public areas and facilities are all spotless and of highest quality, and the staff are to a person all extremely polite, friendly, kind and helpful, giving top class service. I cannot fault my 3 day stay in a club room on any single aspect. Perfect - thank you IHG and InterContinental Hangzhou management!
We had a big group gathered here. 600 people and the infrastructure worked. The hotel is quite breath taking when you stand in the lobby on 5th floor and look around in this ball shaped hotel. Staff are friendly and has adequate but not great English skills
5th stay in this great hotel. Location is by the river, not at touristy east lake area. Easy access by metro (line 4, Citizen Centre Station). Two big malls relatively nearby (MixC and Raffles City). Fast and friendly check-in. Huge room with river view. Good materials used in guest rooms and all public areas. One of best hotels in Hangzhou, if not in whole P.R.China. Had great dinner buffet and good breakfast.
My first stay at this hotel and judging on this stay I will be staying here again. It's far better than any other hotel I have stayed in in Hangzhou. Service was excellent with English excellent. Especially a really nice lady from Serbia (I would type her name but I'm sure I would spell it incorrectly). Club Lounge excellent, food good, service good. However, this 'Spaceship' is expensive so it should be good.
The building is impressive, quite different from others, and sure not standard style. The rooms were super nice and the view was also very impressive. The check in process was long, the staff was not very professional and we also had a dinner at the main restaurant that was surreal. The staff didn't speak English, they didn't have 2 of the wines we tried to order and many more. On a positive note, to compensate the poor service they offer us free breakfast, or finally a free glass of wine. It is nice, but I rather just have a god service and pay for it.
A huge globe. This hotel is quite a statement form the exterior and the interior and is now a Hangzhou landmark. Although not near West Lake, it is still well situated in a very active part of town. The roomas are well appointed. The buffet is always interesting.
Of course the architecture is amazing and the internal view is as good as the external. We were there on the second day of Chinese new year and the red lantern decorations were stunning. Great views, especially of the building light show. Awesome pool and a better equipped gym than most. The room was spacious though the bathroom took some getting used to. Breakfast buffet was great, had plenty of choice. The thing that makes me rate it 5 stars was service. When we booked (from overseas) we explained we wanted one room but our adult son would be with us so we wanted an extra bed in the room.. "one room but 3 adults okay" Apparently not. The quote came in and we booked. When we got there "oh, the 3rd bed is extra, the 3rd breakfast is extra, the 3rd, cocktail/supper is extra." "Really? but.....". Now the EXACT same thing happened at our next hotel in Shanghai. The difference is the intercontinental ignored the surcharge with a minimum of fuss. "Happy New Year" So we left with a really good feeling and that is why I would recommend this hotel to anyone
Wow! What an amazing place from the architecture to the facilities. Unbelievably good. You can see it from far. Unmistakable. The hotel itself is luxury personified. The attached convention centre is huge with world beating facilities. Large modern halls too good rest rooms
I was in this hotel for a company convention. This is a very spectacular place. No doubt on this. Rooms are pretty large and comfortable. Bathroom is very well equipped with a large glass transparent wall versus the bedroom. Staff is attentive to the customer needs, even if not all can speak an acceptable English. Breakfast buffet is very good and high quality. Remarkable the selection of fresh made juices
Spent three days in this hotel for a company international convention. Arrived in the middle of morning and got early check in despite being before earlier than qualified time. Not being a room available, got also upgrade into a suite. Very nice environment that gives you the feeling of being a special place. Breakfast served at 5th place is adequate and various in offer. Facilities for meetings are excellent and service and support is speedy and aligned to needs. The billboard room is big and ready to support big events. The hotel is close to the river (allowing running sessions at km0 from start) and to a big outlet for the shopping addicted. Distance from airport is estimated in 25 min no traffic.
