I am a Choice Hotel reward member and stay at a Choice Hotel at least 30 times per year - while I am always happy with my experience, this was the best hotel I've stayed at for years! When we arrived, the desk clerk offered a complimentary bottle of water and a snack since I was a reward member - something I've never been offered before. Our room was spotless and beautifully appointed. The bed was really comfortable and the shower was amazing! What stood out to me was the hot breakfast - so many options! Besides the standard cereal, yogurt and pastries, they had pancakes (instead of the requisite waffles, a welcome surprise!), biscuits and gravy, bacon, sausage, eggs, and even shredded cheese as a topping! I thought maybe this spread was only offered on the weekends but it was fresh and hot everyday I was there! I overslept one day and the kitchen employee, Emily, even offered to keep it open for me! The manager, Jan, came over and offered to help Emily by cleaning and straightening the tables - is rare to see a manager doing the "dirty" work so no wonder this hotel is run so well. If you are in the area and need a great place to stay, don't hesitate to call the Sleep Inn & Suites!!
Our room was nice and seemed newly renovated and up to date. The towels were excellent for a hotel in this price range. The bed was pretty comfortable and the front desk staff were really nice. We were next to the street so the sound from the cement road was really loud. We stayed for two nights and could hear every word the people said in the room next to us.
Was shocked to see the main floor was remodeled and moved around, kinda like the old set up, but change is good. Always treated great at this location. Check in was quick and friendly. Our room as normal was great, minus the mattress but it's probably just us. Breakfast was good, loved the pancake machine, nice change from waffles. Coffee is very good here. Wifi connection is excellent with no problems. Huge shower, was nice change from having the usual tub/shower.
The staff, the room and the hotel were all awesome! The coffee and breakfast bar was very good. The only major negative was the pool area. Super high chlorine smell that burnt your nose and eyes. There is no way the chemicals were taken care of. Towels were thrown into the pool and staff knew about it but the towels were left all over the ground. Unsure why.
The hotel is clean and comfortable. The staff is professional and kind. The breakfast has plenty of options. We have tried other hotels in the area and we keep coming back to the Sleep Inn and Suites.
The name Sleep Inn really does not do this hotel justice. Sounds like a one floor drive up but it's three floors, huge hot tub and nice pool. It was just a gem to find. I used an EZ market coupon and paid $65 US. The room was nice and the beds super comfy. My only disappointment was the size of the tv, little small but not a deal breaker! Fridge and microwave, the usual. Free hot breakfast was really good, pancakes, strawberry/blueberry toppings, whipping cream, the works. Then there were hard boiled and scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, toast, Danish, the usual yogurt, cereals, hot oatmeal, fresh fruit, etc. There is one thing that I don't get though. Maybe because I'm Canadian and that's bisquits and gravy. Just not appealing. Looks like others liked it. 9/10! Definitely going back!
The staff at the hotel is wonderful. The hotel is very nice and comfortable. The area is a good area to stay. The bed is very comfortable. I will be back when I'm in the area again. Free parking, breakfast
Stayed three nights and slept like a baby. The rooms were clean, quiet and comfortable. Staff was very friendly. I checked in really late and the nice lady at the desk processed me in quickly and was such a friendly person. Breakfast was quite nice with fresh eggs, bacon, sausage etc. one morning was pretty busy and the staff worked extra hard to make sure the food was coming out hot and fresh. Great place to stay if you are headed to the Alerus Center, as it basically shares parking. Easy acces to highway.
We were in GF only for a couple of days, we have stayed at this particular Sleep Inn a few times in the past and never had an issue. We appreciate the large dining room as we have a sizeable group that we meet with and that accomodates our meeting very well.
Fairly new hotel or just refurbished. Nice clean room, comfortable bed, fresh linens, pleasant staff... Note, there isn't any close by restaurant options. Breakfast had plenty of options to choose from.
