The lobby area is really great. Loved the little general store and coffee there is yum! Great bar and hang out area. Pool and hot tub are nice and the outdoor quad area was really nice. Gym is small, but fine. Rooms are cute but small. You can definitely see the "old bones" of an old motel. Simple little things would be nice - a fan in the bathroom area (shower gets hot and steamy and there's no way to ventilate the space well). Can lights... there are corners of the rooms that feel really dark and make it hard to unpack. There are no phones in the room - should be a direct line then too the front desk so you don't have to call the main number on your cell phone if you need help. They could also use some firmer pillows for those guests that request them.

Love the rooms with front parking. easy for loading and unloading, the bar had a great atmosphere and the pizza was excellent. It would have been nice to have a microwave in the room.

We were visiting NAU so location was very convenient and walkable, the lobby and common area was nice we were able to use hot tub- especially great during the winter time. I didn’t really find the beds to be comfortable as mattresses were too soft and found few stains on the sheets. Otherwise it’s relevant for the price- quality.

I was locked out of my room at checkout and hadto return to the main lobby for help opening my door ( the key stopped working). Other than that great experience, the fireplace aread outside and entertainment by the bar make jt a great experience.

I enjoyed the comfy beds, lights with dimmers, tasty coffee, hooks to hang jackets, etc. i also enjoyed the game room and fire pits. The staff was friendly too. I didn’t enjoyed banging my shin on the bed frame corners many times and I would love to have a hook on the wall near the sink area for my hanging toiletries bag. The towel bar by the sink is too low and by bag hits the floor.

A Home Away From Home

This Boutique Motel is small business done right. Beautifully decorated, perfectly executed attention to small detail like the, delicious coffee and Thai tea (complimentary), quality hygiene products like conditioner and soap. CLEAN! So grateful for how CLEAN this establishment is. The grounds are beautiful, inviting and create a sense of community among strangers. Fire pits, beautiful indoor and outdoor bar/seating, pool, hot tub, indoor pool table, all the elements create a space you want to hangout and relax in. The main building has a bar and offers delicious food, and really adds a layer of chic to the up and coming flagstaff area. The staff was incredible, beyond kind and inviting especially Marlin who helped check us in. I wish every hotel/motel had as much to offer as the High Country Motor Lodge. Would stay here 10000000x over and over again. Plus it’s pet friendly. The sauna offers a Nordic experience, it is not included in the stay but worth it, especially after a long day in the car, the price includes 2 people. Do yourself a favor and book a room, even if you live in Flagstaff, book yourself a room for the weekend or night, you won’t regret it

Absolutely loved this place! I love the look of their lobby and everything makes you feel so at home. Slept so comfortable in the bed and the shower pressure was great. Such a nice place to come back to after hiking all day long! Highly, highly recommend.

Sauna, plunge and firepit is a must!
