The common area, pool, hot tub, bar, general store, reception desk, etc were excellent. Beautiful and clean. Great coffee at the coffee bar. Outdoor gas fire pits and comfortable furniture were excellent. The rooms however left a little to be desired. Deferred maintenance and horrible dark paint.

I had heard so much about this place and was excited to try. The main house has been made very esthetically pleasing. The rooms are rough around the edges. Doors are broken. Ice machines are broken. There’s a lot of mislead and assumption about this place. For instance, a sign directs you to the location of the “spa” but there’s no one there to receive you and you realize you have to go get access through the front desk. The Nordic spa experience is a sauna. There’s no true cold plunge. The cold part is two options - a cold shower within the confines of the sauna area, or to walk to the main pool and share with everyone, kids and all. So, it’s kinda weird, really. Room rates are totally reasonable but they’ll get you on pet fees ($125 non refundable) and resort fees and sauna fees, if you choose to use it, which I wouldn’t again. So, all in all, one night cost us $325.

We really enjoyed our stay. Check in was great. The room was great. The price was amazing. The grounds were beautiful. The service at the general store was helpful and courteous and the food was great. The beverage selection was great. The bartender was great. Friendly and informative about the property. The outside fire-pit area where we sat after dinner was fantastic. A great place to reflect on the day after dinner. We will be back.

A true modern "Motel experience" with a great fresh pool ! good food even if the menu does not have a lot of choice, the room are great really and people really nice ! I would just refresh the GYM ;) !

We loved our stay at HCML! The pool and public areas are very nice and the staff was super friendly. The location is great for day trips to the Grand Canyon, Sedona, and lots more.

the property says its dog friendly but I felt it was more dogs allowed. They were watering the lawn a lot which made it difficult to take your dog on the lawn to do "its business". the outdoor firepits and patio are were nice. Rooms were fine.
