Scandic Europa

Located next to a large mall and across from the central station which makes it a very convenient location. The room was spacious, although as other travelers noted there is no coffee or tea in the room and the pillows really were teeny tiny. The pool and gym area are nice but definitely could use a temperature increase in the pool and sauna. One night the sauna temperature was only 42 degree C, the other night it was barely warmer than that. I didn't have a chance to check out the breakfast, but dinner at the bar and restaurant area was delicious and service was great. Overall I would stay again. Maybe just talk to someone about the sauna temperature and get your coffee from across the street at Starbucks or downstairs at breakfast.

Great staff in every Scandic I have stayed at in any country - and I have stayed in many over the years - good staff culture and friendly attitude. HOWEVER, always disappointed that there is no complementary Tea/Coffee in the room and always forget this is so. Even the cheapest other hotels have that ... certainly all of the competing major chains.

This is a lively hotel and the restaurant/bar area is quite lively. The hotel is next to the main mall and just opposite the train station, so very central to Gothenburg. However, the rooms are tired and old, mattress wasn't very comfortable and for the price it is a bit too expensive.

If I want to tell some thing about this hotel I will say enjoy your breakfast. Many options with high quality materials. Wifi is good and also bus terminal and central station is in front of the hotel. Just pass the Avenue. Nordestan shopping mall with many brands and fastfoods and asian restuarant and exchange are around the corner. There is a safe in room. No refrigrator. The pool in small but you can swim. One good thing is if you left the hotel sooner than breakfast time, there are some cold breakfast and juice which you can make a sandwich for yourself.

I tend to stay at the Scandic hotel in Gothenburg when I visit - the location is excellent with really easy access to all of Gothenburg. Although very central, it is still a quiet hotel offering a good sleep. The staff are friendly, and the rooms are of reasonable quality - they are not large, but what you would expect from a city center hotel. Pricing is good compared to other hotels close by. The breakfast is very good, although it can be quite busy.

+ Friendly and helpful staffs. Very accesible to shops, restaurants, attractions. Reasonable price. - very small pillows, just fit for kids and not for adults. Cold water in the inside pool. Telephone did not due to system failure during our stay.

A great hotel, in some way the hotell has lots of everything you need at great value. I often stay at Scandic hotels and I can't recall that I have ever been disapointed. The best part is the breakfast, always awsome.

all services very well, breakfast, cleaning rooms were great. hotel local is very good close buses station and shopping mall. one remark related to air condition is not working for hot option. ..........

Gothenburg a interesting town and lot of too see. Nice museum and a very good opera house. Nice building and a lot of shopping possibilities. The hotel Scandic Europa is very good locatid in the centre of Gothenburg

Just a normal hotel experience, nothing special. Slept in a small room with two others, ok with space since it was just for a weekend and only for sleeping. Kind of expensive. No room for storage, so all of the floor was covered in bags with clothes.
