Stayed in their priciest room, and while it offered an absolutely breath taking view of the city from a nice room, it could be even better. The nice things first: the staff were friendly and helpful, the beds were great and the room was clean and tidy. It was very spacious and we enjoyed the overall comfort of the room. The not so nice things: the entire bathroom flooded very quickly when taking a shower, if you did not take the necessary precautions ('towel up' the shower entrance, turn off the shower, etc). The two TVs in the room could be controlled by the same controller, a minor nuisance, but a nuisance none the less. The reception of most of the tv channels were shoddy at best. Ate breakfast once, it offered food you'd expect and it tasted okay - as expected really. In summary, the room was nice, at a reasonable hotel, with a spectacular view - we just might've expected too much from their priciest rooms.
Stayed here with my family, 4 persons, two adults and two kids 10 and 7. Got a small room at first but after complaining about hearing handy men at 7 in the morning they bumped us up to the 9th floor where they rooms with nice views start. Small room was a bit to small for us 4 so we where very happy with the upgrade. Had a fantastic time here, staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was nice and had the usual things. Parking garage was located under the hotel in the basement, a bit pricey but very convenient. Close enough to walk if you want to visit Ullevi, Scandinavium, Liseberg or Universeum.
Perfect location for central Gothenburg sport events/cinema or museums and Liseberg. Good standard hotel with stunning views of the city from the Standard rooms on the higher floors. Big breakfast with wide range. Could do with better organization though, gets very busy at weekends. Good spa section with jaccuzzi but not dimensioned for the size of the hotel. A tip is to use the facilities early morning before breakfast when it is quiet. Great start to the day!
Stayed at the hotel for one night with my family. At check-in I probably met the most unfriendly receptionist I've ever had met: not a smile or a "welcome". The room was OK but to hot - even when we tried to adjust the airconditioning. We arrived for breakfast about 30 minutts before closure, and the buffet was partly empty. Scandic - you can do better!
Nice hotel very close to Liseberg and Universeum. Easy to get to by public transport. Newly renovated family rooms, with all we needed. The staff was very freindly and helpfull during our stay. The hotel is under renovation, witch means noice in the room. It stoppede late in the afternoon and startet early at 7 am! The breakfast was a bit boring and lots of the "food stations" was empty.
Very good location. Typical Scandic quality. A renovation is ongoing and can cause inconvenience. The price from the airport is around 420 SEK. The hotel is perfect for business and site seeing trips. The Internet speed is good.
It was easy to find the hotel in the city when you came by car. It was olso a perfeckt place with good food and good location to city, good service. The view from the panoramwindow was also good. A nice hotel to recommend to friends!
I have stayed here a couple of times when working. Perfectly located within walking distance from almost everything in Gothenburg. From here you can easily walk to Avenyn and also Liseberg and Svenska Mässan etc.. the rooms are pretty much standard for the pricerange with one exception.. the view that you get from rooms located further up! It's really nice!! So if you're planning to stay here, try to get a room located on the floors higher up with a view! Breakfast is quite standard with both hot and cold alternatives. They offer parking (not for free) which is a plus! (Parking can be a hassle in Gothenburg) free wi-fi, onsite gym and sauna together with the location makes this hotel a great alternative when staying in Gothenburg! By the way.. they also lends bikes if you want to experience Gothenburg by bike! Plus for the location, minus for the cleaning that isn't always that good.. Note: spoke with a friend that stayed there reasently (mars 2017) There was quite noisy renovations going on so be sure to check with the hotel if you're easily disturbed..
This hotel was good for us, because we visit at Scandinavium hall and it was only 5 min.walk from/to there. We got a room at 10th floor and the view was nice to the "center" above the roofs. Beds was good, bathroom was ok and in room price you get free wifi. The stuff spoke good english and was very helpfull. Breakfast was good and you have many things to choise. It was Sunday, so sadly the hotel restaurant wasn´t open, but we went to Italian restaurant nearby. You can do chec out in internet. Room price was reasonable from internet booking advance.
This hotel is a nice hotel rather close to everything in the central Gothenburg. The rooms (at least the panorama) is very quiet and below the windows you have the traffic floating slowly and also a magnificent view over large part of Gothenburg. The reception is rather fast but could probably be better but you don't expect more from a Scandic and as one of these they make a good job. Breakfast is ok. The bar is rather boring. If you skip the bar the stay will be great
