We had a wonderful stay in the Hotel Riverton. As it is localted a little outside of the city centre it is very calm, but still central enough to walk to a lot of shops within 10 minutes. Great location if you want to walk along the waterfront and take a boat trip. Good restaurants with a very good price level for Sweden are within a walking distance of 5 minutes. The staff at the reception was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good with the best bread I've eaten in Sweden so far. And we even got a fresh breakfast package at 4 o'clock in the morning, as we had to leave very early the last night. When coming back to Gothenburg, I would probably stay in this hotel again.

Not the most pleasant stay as hotel didn't meet expectations: 1. Check in time is after 4 pm which is very inconvenient and I really hoped that they would have room earlier, but neither at 10 am, 2 pm room wasn't ready. We agreed to take a room which had two beds, so we got it around 2:30. You need to plan check in time, I wouldn't choose such late next time as it is nice to refresh in the room after the trip. 2. Spa - the worst thing ever!!! You even cant call it spa! Its a jacuzzi which fits around 8 people and little saunas separate for women and men (max 3-4 people). All equipment is really old, one shower was even broken. To get robe you need to ask in reception as they were not available in our room (economy one). 3. Breakfast was ok, no big difference as mostly all Scandinavian hotels offers buffet breakfast. 4. Sky bar - nice place to have a drink, just it is quite cozy as not so many available seats. According schedule it works till 11 pm only. We left just around 11 so didn't test it :) 5. Very poor lighting in the room and bathroom - struggled to find proper lightning for make up. Overall - i believe that I would be happier to choose another similar hotel in this location (quite few construction works are taking place plus some renovation activities inside).

Arrived to a hotel undergoing renovations, to the lifts, which is all good and well but our room was outdated and dirty. The couch was VERY well used and not comfortable to sit on. The remote held together by tape. The bed was very bouncy. The pillows were like air. And what is it with nearly all hotels having the toilet paper located behind a toilet?! The hall leading to our room was on a lean and there appeared to be water damage to the very spongey carpet. I found the staff to be present but not overly pleasant. The breakfast buffet was decent, so for that I gave an extra point. And a decent location. Overall I found the hotel to not be worthy of its star rating or even its user rating, did I go to an alternate universe hotel?! Anywho, will never go there again, there are better hotels for the same price or less in Gothenburg.

We were at the restaurant for a meal, which has amazing views over Gothenburg - the food was okay, though when we ordered a bottle of wine an already opened bottle was presented! We explained that we had asked for a full bottle, not just a glass, however the waitress claimed that "in Gothenburg you taste the wine from one of their already opened bottles" which is apparently because you might change your mind and then they are left with an opened/wasted expensive bottle of wine! We said that we had never experienced this before - she had obviously been told to say this....it is definitely not what happens in other restaurants in Gothenburg!!! It kind of spoilt our evening and we would not go back, though the view certainly was great!

We spent two nights in this hotel. Pretty standard room. Amazing breakfast, great choice and very good quality. Just 10 min walking from the city center. The hotel has a beautiful roof restaurant/bar with a nice view of the city. Definitely recommended.

We got a warm welcome on our travel through Sweden. We stayed here one night, in a good sized family room. Very clean and newly renovated. Location is within walking distance of the quaint Haga, and City center. A perfect hotel for Gothenburg visit. Breakfast was really good!

This was a wonderful hotel - great location, very clean and quiet. The hotel is undergoing renovation, but we were in a recently renovated room and it was fantastic. The breakfast buffet was the best we had in Sweden and the staff very helpful.

The hotel room is very comfortable. We are in a junior suite which is quite spaceous. I am not sure I am all that impressed with glass doors to the shower and the toilet. Neither do I find it pleasant to have the sink next to the bed. It is very modern, but maybe not that practical. It is difficult to use the mirror in the morning due to the glare from the window. I must admit that I am a bit put off by the mess from the renovation. I was under the impression that this would be all over by now when I made the reservation. Having said all that, we are happy with the suite, and the breakfast in the morning is plentifull and substantial. The staff are also very pleasant and helpfull.

The hotel is located very close to the ferry and city center and features very nice design of the rooms, a great sky bar, great services and excellent breakfast! The area is not necessarily touristy as there was a lot of construction nearby, but the waterside view is very nice, specially if you get a room at a higher floor facing the street.

Construction is going on and mixed handling of costumers as well One check in clerk assigne you a clastrophobic room, which should not be a guest room at all and the other employee (Amanda) give you a decent room If you are not careful enough or traveling with children you might and up loosing your life in an elevator holes! (See photos attached) Yes,they have construction site with no pro cautions and stil accepting guests At the and of my stay I asked the bill but they were not able to give, instead they ask some additional service charge that I never used. Location is great,if you have the right room and right elevator!
