We really enjoyed out stay here, which is in walking distance to all central parts of the city. Our room was beautiful but sadly let in too much light from the glass bathroom door at the crack of dawn. The breakfast is just lovely and the bar in the hotel was very relaxing.
The one and only cloud over the stay was the Mens guest Toilet in the lobby-- bishop arms ....TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE though my girlfriend said the Ladies toilet was absolutely fine the staff is excellent the rooms perfect ... the linen Crisp.... difficult to find fault with the hotel .... am sure the terrible bathroom must have been a one off .... highly recommend this hotel
Just got back from watching the Gothia youth football tournament stayed at the above Hotel ideal location clean tidy and staff courteous room slightly on the small side and could have done with tea making facilities definitely recommended
I didn't want to leave the Elite Plaza! Our room wasn't ready when we arrived at the hotel. So, they held our bags while we went to enjoy the city. We returned and learned that we'd had an upgrade to a 5th floor suite, which was indeed SWEET. There was a sumptuous fruit basket, chocolates and wine awaiting us and chocolate and cognac at turndown. The beautiful buffet breakfast, which was complimentary, was unbelievable, with all the offerings of any imaginable brunch. The hotel was beautifully appointed--from the rooms to the delightful artwork in the restaurant. The concierge Jennifer sure took care of us!!!!
I suggest Elite Plaza hotel. The only issue I had was with front desk guy on the night shift. He did not let me bring my cousin at 5 am to my room as he said the room was booked for one person. I was coming from a wedding. I had to move everything from one room to the other. The room that he moved me in was extremely noisy. The second room was bigger, however Jacob ( trainee front desk) did not charge me extra when he found out abut the issue. If Excellent is 5 star, here is how I rate staying at this hotel: 1 Weather 4 2 Staff 4 3 Room 4 4 Food 4 5 People 5 6 Nature 5 7 internet 3 8 Location 5
Stayed here before, it's always nice and breakfast is lovely and included in the rates. Rooms are on the smaller side but well appointed! Can recommend this. The location is great for business and pleasure!
The hotel is very impressive in looks, the room was a decent size but the noise from the neighbouring night club was horrendous. 3/4 nights it was open until 3am and then people leaving until 4am and with no air con you couldn't not have the window open. It is a decent breakfast although in busy times fairly impractical as the flow around the buffet not good.
One of the most expensive hotels I've stayed at in Sweden, and was not worth the high price. Friendly staff and the hotel is centrally located with walking distance to most sights, restaurants and bars. Room was small and dark with window facing inner courtyard - in other words we had view of a wall. Small bed and craped bathroom. They can have all the marble they want, but it does not matter when the room is small and gives you the feeling of being robbed thinking of how much it cost. Breakfast was average with the standard selection - nothing extra that I noticed. Based on the price I had much higher expections of the hotel - will stay somewhere else next time and save Money.
A classy hotel in a good part of town accessible to most places within easy walking. Room was a good size with a great bathroom. Very quiet. Great bar, with very efficient and friendly service. Free wifi throughout. Efficient check in/out. However, there were bad points, which are bad when you consider this is meant to be a 5 star hotel: 1. Room had no tea & coffee making facilities and no iron and ironing board - essentials which should be provided. Bottled water was provided, although this is the first hotel I have stayed in for a long time where bottled water was charged for. 2. Room was not as clean as it should have been. You could write your name in the dust on the window sill. 3. Buffet breakfast on our last day was not good. Surely the hotel knew in advance how many to expect for breakfast, but when we arrived, well before the end of service, there was no bacon, no coffee cups (you serve your own coffee) no orange juice glasses, then no orange! no knives and no bread. When staff were reminded, it was slow to get these items restocked, apart from the bread which was NOT restocked. 4 Joined their corporate scheme on arrival but did not receive any of the benefits, despite a reminder to their corporate scheme office by email. This could be a really good hotel if the above was sorted out. Shame.
Great location. Close to everything. Enough public transportationspots close to hotel entrance. Standard Rooms: nice and clean. Hotel is "olsfashion" but modernized with latest standards. Breakfast very good - includes everything you need. Foodstuff fresh and clean. Rushing hours there might be problems to find seat/table
