We all travelled to the GC for the car races, all we needed was a place the sleep and be in the middle of everything. Well we got what we paid for, decent 3 star accomodation. Our room was great and it had everything we needed. The race weekend was wet this year but the staff at the resort were handing out free umbrellas to all the guests. Little things like this go a long way. We have already rebooked for next year. See you then.
Called in to reception to see if I could have a quick look around to see if it is somewhere I might bring my kids later in the year on our next trip. Had stayed there previously as a young kid. However Staff were extremely unhelpful and suggested I just look at their website instead. The gentlemen on reception had no idea of the room numbers and was completely disinterested. I know you probably don't get paid much to do the job but you should only be in a service industry if you want to give service. Needless to say I won't be booking in here.
First impression.. lovely gardens and pool looked beautiful.Sorry to say can't say the same about our 2 bedroom apartment. Apparently they are all privately owned...well all I can say is if some money was spent this would be a fantastic place to stay. Positives first. Very close to Cavil ave and beach. Very close to light rail. Staff also seemed pleasant. Our appartment was sad.It seemed clean. Bathroom and kitchen were both clean and tidy. The main bed was dreadful. The bed was full of springs. The windows were filthy and the curtains dusty.There was an obvious dirty brown smear on the wall which easily wiped off We had a couple of other problems which were rectified upon letting staff know. And judging by the responses from Enderley gardens upon any criticism I'm not going to go into them. My advice to them is instead of being defensive and spouting off"we are a 3 star accomadation blah blah) please listen to people and try and fix things. One more crucial thing if you stay here take your own toilet paper as what you get is it ...no spare under the sink....we had 2 half rolls for 4 people for 3 nights!
The good: walking distance to Caville Ave, tram stop & bus stop. A short tram ride to pacific fair shopping centre. A decent kitchen and a good size pool/spa area. The bad: an uncomfy pillow, one toilet paper to use for 8 days(far a family) no shampoo/cond, an Average playground for infants, an itchy carpet.
2x beds were buggered (spring hanging out and a dip bigger than the Grand Canyon ) stove dirty , bed room window had no screen , rusty frypan , one shower was dirty ,lights falling from ceiling ,Lounge was dirty and one seat had collapsed dinning chairs dirty . Ants nest in the bathroom . spilt milk on cupboard when we arrived and this was just cleaned . Will never go back wrecked a great holiday . Manager seemed uninterested in complaint when I raised it with him . I do have photos but don't know how to put them on here from my phone . Couldn't change as they said they were fully booked when we arrived .One of the balcony door didn't work and the security door slide from side to side so no stoppers to hold them in place (these are not safe for small kids as with the no screen on the bedroom window we were on the second story ) room stunk everytime we came in , I was told that the owners of this unit are old and don't like to spend money . Sorry we booked for convenience and location you expect the place to be of a reasonable standard DONT DO IT
Travellers BEWARE!!! Staff were patronising. Room was unclean and in poor condition - thick dust on the ceiling fans; no curtains to main living which meant everyone could see into our living area and the sheers were covered in mould; there were holes in the walls and rips in one of the couches; bonded leather couch was flaking off onto our clothes and skin when sitting on the couch; oven emitted smoke during the one time we used it to cook; thin mattress that was very uncomfortable; many people smoking around the pool area. When we spoke to management about all of these issues they told us they were aware of the condition of the apartment and that's what we get for booking a cheap property. Staff rudely told me "if you had more money you would have booked elsewhere, like a Hilton, but you didn't so what did you expect". The main reason we chose the property was not the cost, but rather because it offered a washer, dryer and cooking facilities. Whilst we used the washer and dryer, the kitchen was not suitable for cooking in. I posted the above response on Booking.com site and the hotel has responded with a sarcastic "Thank you for your glowing review." They accuse me of exaggerating my comments above, however I can assure you that I have kept only to the facts and have attached photos of the condition of the room. In this paragraph I have given some opinions. The only offer from management during our stay was to send housekeeping up to the room to vacuum the couch. Surely the expectation is that when you check-in you are provided with a clean room from the start, not one still covered in dust and housekeeping should not need to be called back for a job that should have already been done. At my request management provided an additional sheet that we could use to cover the flaking couch and that was the extent of their assistance. Management claims that they only receive positive feedback from other families that have stayed in the same apartment, however I think they must have forgotten which apartment they put us in, as in my opinion it is not fit for rent (especially not for approx. $200/night). Do your research when considering this property and make sure you read all reviews, including the replies from the property. In my opinion when they receive compliments they are very nice, however turn blame back to the reviewer if they receive any negative feedback. We will certainly never go back and I just want to help people avoid making the same mistake we did and feeling ripped off.
I have just returned from our stay at Enderley Garderns and I must say that it has been one of the worst experiences that I have had in my life. I have traveled far and wide and have stayed in some pretty shady places, but I have never been as appalled and disappointed as I have been here. I have stayed at Enderley Gardens Resort with my parents and my boyfriend during our visit to Australia. We have arrived in Gold Coast early in the morning (around 7am) and were quite tired after our long flight from Europe. I have called in advance to the resort to inquire whether it is possible to do an early check-in due to the fact that the regular check-in time is 2pm. The person in reception told me that we could come in at 1pm or perhaps even earlier, but that he would give me a call if and earlier check-in was possible. We have arrived at the hotel around 1pm only to find that our apartment was not yet cleaned and that we will have to wait for another hour. The staff made no effort whatsoever to make and early check-in possible, even though they have told us differently over the phone. When the clock stroke 2, we were allowed to check-in. We have been given very little information upon our arrival. To enter the resort, you must pass a secure gate and use a remote, which we were not shown how to use. Additionally, if you come in late (I do not know when, since I was not told) you cannot use the remote and must type a passcode to enter the resort. We were told this after two weeks of our stay. We have booked a two-bedroom apartment which was fully equipped and quite spacious. That was about the only positive thing that I can write about it. It looked and felt very old. Upon entering the first thing that we have noticed was the smell. A heavy stench of chlorine could be smelt in the air. Apparently they use a chlorine based chemicals to clean the rooms. I was reluctant to use the word “clean” as our apartment was far from it. The only clean room was the bathroom and even that was kind of sloppy. They have also changed the linen and provided fresh towels. The rest of the apartment was filthy. The floors were sticky and probably have not been washed in ages, the balcony had more sand on it than the beach and all the cutlery and kitchen appliances had food stains on them. The closets had a thick layer of dust on the shelves and the AC was not working (the AC problem was resolved the next day). So the first thing we had to do was to clean up the entire place. The staff in the resort (the same two people work there every day) were very unpleasant and reluctant to offer any additional help. They did not provide us with any vital information about the facility, such as the function and use of the keys. To sum up it was a very unpleasant experience in a resort that has the potential to be something more. The location was quite convenient – next to the Q1 building and only 10-minute walk to Surfer’s Paradise. I would not recommend this place to anyone as you can get better value for your money someplace else, with less fuss and more enjoyment. Some additional observations: • The “free” Wi-Fi only includes 300MB, after that you have to buy more (1gb - $10, 3gb - $20). • Our bedroom was located at the back of the building where the garbage collectors make their daily route at around 6:30am. Due to the quality of the windows you can hear all the noise that you would with the windows opened. • Filth, filth, filth…
A great place loved the self contained townhouse, our teenage son loved his own level including a bathroom and balcony,pool and BBQ area great always neat, beach and shops within walking distance,management very helpful and friendly would stay there again.
We booked an apartment for our stay to have some independence while having a family visit. The location was brilliant just outside the buzz of surfers but a 3 minute walk straight to the beach and a 10 mins tops walk to the centre of everything. Plus the tram stopped outside. The one bed apartment was well furnished good enough to live in full time. Everything needed was there washer and dryer, cooker, fridge/freezer and microwave. The people running the resort were friendly and helpful. The grounds were kept immaculate Ina daily basis and there is a great swimming pool. We had a ground floor apartment and sat outside a lot everyone was very friendly. It was the perfect base for seeing our family and for time out on our own. I would definitely book there again next time we go. There was wifi available plus a daily newspaper. The resort was secure entrance was via a fob and there is underground parking
Lovely accomodation for our few days ion the Gold Coast. Clean comfortable swimming pool and car parking space. Perfect for us. Close to the shops and restaurants and bars. Also a short walk to the beach.
