Loved everything. Rooms could have been a bit bigger; no real air circulation and couldn't go below 65 (which I get, most hotels are like that) but us old people that get hot flashes could have benefited from a cooler room, ceiling fan, etc. I usually bring my own fan but was traveling by plane this time so couldn't bring it:(

For the age and size of the suite we stayed in the price was just too high......wouldn't stay again at the price point Also paying for parking in the remote hotel lot was uncalled for. The rooms are already priced above where they should be

Location is the best part. Room was very clean. Extra cleaning for pets is $50 and parking is an additional charge (I think it was $20). My only complaint is the cost and extra fees... which is understandable because of the prime location.

Nice hotel. Steps away from train platform. Hotel is right around all the resturants and shopping. But the Pub resturant in the hotel serves amazing food. Hotel staff helpful and very accommodating. Hotel has a very old yet updated feeling. Character kept intact! Downsides…no safes in the room. And a dresser for clothes would have been helpful. We were in a corner suite. Incredible views on both sides of the room. I was there with a girlfriend and this hotel only has rooms with King size beds. No double Queen rooms. So we shared the bed which was not a problem for our 42 year friendship. Would be number one choice to stay in future.

Hotel was great for an older historic hotel. The brewery restaurant attached to it was very good. Only complaint would be with the parking, there is none, you have to park in a sketchy area across the street.

Updated Historic Hotel in Prime Location

Very impressed with the recently renovated Hotel Maxwell Anderson! We considered staying at the famous Hotel Colorado but decided we wanted to be able to walk around downtown area of Glenwood Springs instead. After visiting both I’d recommend staying here but still visit or eat brunch at the Colorado. Maxwell Anderson’s rooms are beautiful. Lots of wood and warm exposed brick to break up the industrial ceiling and finishes. Very smartly done. The Glenwood Canyon Brewpub attached has excellent beers. We met a lot of locals there that also said it was their favorite brewery in the area. There are also many events, live music, shops, and restaurants within easy walking distance. Our only annoyance was a lack of do-not-disturb signs for the room which, of course, ended up with a knock on the door more than an hour before checkout time.

My first time staying here in this hotel and I stayed in the signature boutique room I believe was the name of it but the view was amazing and the room was so beautiful and perfect for my birthday. The hotsprings are really close as well so that’s a super plus:)

I have stayed in the hotel on two previous occasions and this visit was “less than”. The major disappointment was the front desk customer service. It was non existent and left a bad taste in our stay. No thanks to future stays.

We loved this hotel! It's been so beautifully renovated, the coffee shop is fantastic, and the location is prime. Our room was beautiful and spacious. My only negative is that our room was an internal room, so no window, which felt weird. So be mindful when booking if you need natural light.
