There was some kind of mold in the bathroom that I didn’t. Notice until the lady day
TV was not viewable very dark. No hot water on Saturday morning. Staff said to run for 15 min. And we did. But no hot water. Pop machine empty for my choices.
There was really nothing special about this hotel. It was a bed and a good, quiet room. We were traveling with a calf in a trailer and we had a ground floor with parking right outside so we were lucky to park our trailer right by our window. The room really could have used a deep deep clean, but otherwise was well kept.
free breakfast had no meat at all...no matter the owners/employees personal beliefs it would be nice to have real food for breakfast not just eggs and potatoes
no soap in the shower dispenser which was very inconveint
The hotel reeked in the stairwell and hallway so bad that we had to plug our nose everytime we entered or exited. It was disgusting. There are no laundry facilities, which is surprising for a hotel that is so large, and calls itself a conference center. The check-in staff questioned my request to stay on the top floor. There is no elevator.
no problems at all, it was very nice and quiet no problems checking in or out.
Love the hotel was very nice n cant wait to take my daughter there for a little get away to visit other places in Galesburg but the staff in the restaurant and bar were very rude and not good at all the food was great tho but did not appreciate the rude bad service I git when at the bar n restaurant
The hotel selection in the Galesburg area is not great. Best Western is one of the better hotels in the area. The rooms were clean; the beds comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to others.
I was really impressed with the service at the Best Western, from the staff at the front desk to my waitress at the on-site restaurant. Everyone was friendly and very helpful. My room was clean and I really can't say anymore. I will definitely go back to the Best Western in May when I visit Galesburg again.
The staff was helpful. The room clean. Tv worked. Good for the money. It's not the Ritz.
I cannot say enough about the compassion, kindness and professionalism of the staff at the Prairie Inn in Galesburg, IL. Making last minute travel plans due to a family death could have been a nightmare however the Prairie Inn made our entire stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible given the circumstances. Our entire family dined in the hotel restaurant - each of every meal of was wonderful and the service fabulous. The Prairie Inn will continue to be my lodging choice when traveling thru Galesburg.
The lady who checked us in is great. She was informative, very enjoyable to talk with... made us feel very welcomed. The entire place from rooms, to pool to restaurant was GREAT. Good food in the restaurant, friendly and efficient wait staff. Just off the interstate this is a hidden jewel that we're glad we discovered, after years of experiencing a plethora of hotels in Galesburg. We plan on going on staying there whenever we are in town.
Booked one night for festival in town. Clean and quiet. Pool and hot tub worked!!! Hotel staff friendly and courteous. The resaurant breakfast buffet was sufficient: eggs, sausage, bacon, potatoes, biscuits and gravy. 10% off coupon for restaurant at check-in. . Bed was soft, but had a deep-sound sleep anyway. Special "Easy To Clean" T.V. remotes in each room. Was far enough off the main roads so I could not hear road noise.
The entrance to the hotel is a bit off the main road and feels like it's on the "other side of the highway". It looks a bit like a nursing home as well. The renovations were fine, but looks like they cut corners on materials - the ceiling tiles were not all perfectly square or level, so it drew your eye to them, and the laminate wood floors sounded hollow which made you think they were fake vs. real wood floors. There was a knocking sound in the plumbing every 30 secs or so, which was annoying when you're trying to sleep.
My family and I really enjoyed our stay here. The rooms were neat and clean and we had everything we needed for a great stay. There was even a cute little patio outside our room where we could sit and relax and enjoy the nice Fall weather. While the location was perfect for our purposes (wedding at the Country Club just down the road), it was a little further away from downtown Galesburg. The only downside was the restaurant. It was kind of "meh." More like a Denny's than a regular restaurant. My breakfast there was great. Dinner, not so much. But the waitresses were very nice and accommodating. Overall, nice time.
When the iron in the room did not work, a call to the front desk got no response. A second call 45 minutes later and no response. A little pressure, and the desk clerk delivered the iron with an attitude. Won't stay at this customer unfriendly place again.

On behalf of our entire team I apologize for not meeting your expectations.

I apologize for the water temperature and TV issues. They are both being taken care of.

I apologize for this. There should have been meat. I will look into this.
