Sweet dreams

We needed a place to overnight before heading out of Frankfurt. Our room was clean; the beds were nice and the hotel was walking distance to the train! We had a great stay!

Close to train station, a little sketchy area.

This hotel serves its purpose. Is close to the main train station, though we were dragging bags and stroller, maybe if that’s your case too, look for other place even closer. The surrounding area is not nice at all as plenty of old warehouses abound. Some seemed abandoned. Having said that we really never had a problem with anyone but, it’s definitely sketchy. We stayed in Frankfurt for one night only. The front desk was pretty helpful and friendly, they arranged a taxi the next morning. Didn’t try the breakfast. Also, we showed up about 4-5 hrs prior to check in time and they already had our rooms ready! That almost never happened to us. Rooms were clean and basic. TV worked fine. Bathroom was nice and average in size. Overall I think this hotel is better suited for solo travelers or young couples that just need a place to stay near the train station.

Terrible noise, kept getting woken.

The bedrooms are in a different building to the reception, breakfast etc. The bedroom I was in was right outside the lift, literally less than a meter from it so everyone that came in to the building stopped right outside my door. I was disturbed not only by the loud talking and laughing of the guests but even the walking and wheeling on the stone floors made it impossible to sleep . I kept getting woken up every few minutes, whenever anyone came into the building. The same was very early in the morning from the first person that left. It was disaster. Also, the heating both in the bedroom and the bathroom were inadequate for a winters day. t was cold. Having said that, the beds were excellent quality and comfortable and the shower was very powerful. but not again for me.

Piccadilly in Frankfurt

This is a very comfortable hotel, clean and has everything you need. The decor needs updating and the single room felt like a luxury prison cell. However, the room was near the front of the second building and it was like Piccadilly Circus. Nice of them to remind me of home, but not so good for someone who needs sleep. I was treated to a chronic cougher who roamed the corridors and an opera singer. There was a constant flow of mostly German people, so great for socialising, not so good for a quick stopover. Also, reception and my room smelt of smoke, but I found that in Frankfurt in general.
