All in all, it was good. But our tub had gross stains on the bottom and the whole bathroom needed a renovation.

Booked this overnight stay so the grandkids could go swimming. When we got there we found out the pipes had burst in the pool room days go. Wouldn’t even lend us towels when I took the kids to the rec center to swim to stop the crying. We have done this annual stay here for four years, and the pool has been down twice. Will book elsewhere in the future.
This property is old and run down. Definitely needs a updo but kind of expected it. Staff is nice and helpful.
We checked in late in the day, and the desk clerk didn’t bother to inform us that they have a breakfast bar, or that the pool was out of service, or that to get ice we would have to go to the 2nd floor on the other end of the property! The lobby and hallways on the first floor felt like a sauna, high humid heat! For four days we used the door closest to the parking lot instead of the lobby entrance, so we never knew the place had the breakfast operation!!! There was no signs, or information in the rooms describing the amenities, so we went out to eat every morning, when we could have spent our money there. Poor marketing on their part!

I was very frustrated with the quality of the pool.. Dark and dreary and looked like algae growing in the pool, however it was likely just the paint. I specifically chose this property for the hot tub since my body was in desperate need of a good soak and some jets. I chose the property SPECIFICALLY for the hot tub. Upon arrival, getting into my bathing suit, trudging down in the chilled air, I got to the pool/whirlpool area (as labeled), to find a grungy looking pool with music BLASTING in the pool area, and no hot tub/whirlpool to be found.... although it was on the sign, it was listed in the description on the Orbitz and Holiday Inn express website... NO WHIRLPOOL/HOT tub to be found. After waiting quite some time to talk to the receptionist, I finally was next in line, I asked her about the hot tub, and she responded, "oh, we had to fill it in a while ago for whatever reason." NO APOLOGY for the inconvenience, no empathy, nothing! I returned to my room... no way was I setting foot in the pool with the way it looked and not having a hot tub to warm up in after. Upon check out the next morning, I noted my concerns and frustrations when checking out, even though they never even asked how my stay was! They NEVER ASKED me how my stay was!! Didn't thank me for staying or wish me a good day either!!! NOTHING!!!!!! HORRIBLE HOSPITALITY.
Comfy beds, and really good breakfast! No hot tub, and pool very small. The workers were all very pleasant!
The hotel was nice and clean with good breakfast. It was in a quiet and convenient area right off of the main road. We were very pleasantly surprised when they had chocolate Easter bunnies and other goodies for each of our kids on Easter morning!
The hot tub had a lot of pebbles at the bottom. And the sides and bottom of the pool were very ruff. My grand daughter ended up with skind up elbows, knees, and feet.
They had lemonade, popcorn and cookies in the lobby. Very appreciated from a weary traveler. The road construction was minimally inconvenient but I did not notice noise this weekend. Carolyn took great care of the room. There were disrepairs in the bathroom though. The tub soap holder was pulled out and the deal along the back of the tub was loose. Receptionists were always on duty. The free breakfast attendant was very attentive.

The overall experience was great. Unfortunately we had a group of parents there that allowed their children to run thru the hallways until past midnight. They were there for a hockey competition. These parents displayed poor judgement in allowing these young athletes to run the hallways that late. Hope they didnt lose because somehow i think the parents will not admit their failure and blame the kids. Have dealt with such people before and realize that even if the hotel staff had been asked to intercede the kids would still have been allowed to misbehave. The next morning at the breakfast area the whole group showed up and we learned that some of the parents had apparently been drinking all night. NICE...good parenting skills here. PARENTS OF YOUNG ATHLETES: WHEN YOU GO TO A HOTEL YOU HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO TEACH YOUR KIDS TO BEHAVE IN SUCH PLACES. ALLOWING THEM TO RUN WILD IS RUDE AND MAKES YOU AS PARENTS LOOK LIKE LOSERS. OTHER GUESTS SHOULD NOT HAVE TO COMPLAIN TO MANAGEMENT ABOUT YOUR UNRULY AND ILL MANNERED KIDS!
Enjoyed our stay, room was clean, staff was friendly. Breakfast wasn't all that great. Eggs were cold to the point of being almost partially frozen and the choices were few based on previous Holiday Inn Express stays. Would stay again and just plan on going out for breakfast.
