First impressions are that this is quite a dated hotel. However the staff are friendly and welcoming, the rooms are pleasant and comfortable and breakfast was plentiful. I had a room on the 10th directly next to the lifts but noise was not an issue. My room had a balcony which was nice in the morning sunshine. I was surprised that the bar/restaurant had stopped serving food before 10pm after a late flight arrival. I would stay here again as the price is very reasonable.
We spent our week end in this lovely hotel. I believe this hotel must be something hype in his era, I felt back to the 90's. But I think they did super work to make it cozy and clean. Our room was so clean, and our bathroom is perfectly clean. Even there's a bug came to our bedroom, but I can understand that because our room were facing the park. Too bad we couldn't access the park because it was raining hard that time. Anyways, we're quite entertained with the small swimming pool in the sauna area, where my daughter was so happy to has her deep. The hotel staffs were so lovely, especially the reception girls they speak English very clear. The buffet breakfast was good. The only thing that little bit less is our pillow, it's horrible even three of us having terrible sleep that night. but for the service is great.
My second time to stay at this hotel. The Staff were friendly and professional. The hotel is very clean. Great location overlooking the park and walking distance to shops / restaurants. We seemed to be upgraded to a larger room this year, which was appreciated. The room was spacious, comfortable and warm.
Stayed here for 2 nights as McFc were playing local team Schalke. Could not fault the hotel at all. Lovely twin room as requested with a great view of the surrounding area. Well greeted at reception. The hotel staff were very helpful, especially Caroline in the restaurant, and were a credit to the hotel. Yes we were a bit loud celebrating our win in the downstairs bar but the service was excellent. For the price that we paid were sure got a good deal. Danke!!!!
It was a pleasure to stay at this this hotel. Modern and large rooms.Very clean with everything we need. At breakfast a wide range. The hotel staff was very nice and helpfull. Next time I'll stay only here.
I stayed here for a year in 1977, was a beautiful old but elegant place to live, the service was impeccable, the food was excellent, I like especially the breakfast, tables filled with cheeses, meats, pastries, and the koffee was my favorite along with the bagels and cream cheese. I made many friends while I was there.
Let me start by stating this is a 4 star hotel officially but in my opinion this is only valid for the level of service and staff. I’m not really sure how I feel about this hotel, when I first arrived I was disappointed and a bit annoyed because it has not been decorated since maybe some time in 1970, it is very tired and it makes me feel like I’ve gone back in time. Even the telephones in the rooms are original. I’m sure that in its day this was a 4 star. The hotel grew on me however because of the nice staff and the breakfast was good and rooms warm/cleaned well. (But they do need new carpets and complete refit. I think it would be a disservice to the great staff here if I have less than 3, without them it would be 2 stars for sure. Management of Maritim needs to speed money on this hotel or it should be downgraded. 5 stars for the staff, well done for working so well in your time capsule. 😂😂
I haven't stay here for over 10 months but was pleased to see that the refurbishment continues & the staff, as ever, in all departments are excellent.. Easy links to the airports by tram & motor ways. Good hotel for business travel customers. A great hotel. Martin K.
Nice Hotel. Friendly and smooth reception. Nice 3 persons room, beds seperated by the bathroom. Our room had a wide view over the city park. The breakfast was very good with a great choice. Only the coffee was cheap, dark burned, bitter and too hard. Only drinkable with lots of sugar and or milk.
The hotel itself is good. Nice rooms etc. Breakfast is good with plenty choice. The staff however is not too friendly. Maybe that was due to the fact that they got a lot of customers from the Ed Sheeran concert. Rooms weren’t cleaned on the check- in time. Cleaning was done okay, not perfect. At least we could have (soft)drinks on the house while we were waiting.
