The rooms were very clean and the staff was quite helpful and polite
Kids enjoyed the pool, and the breakfast had a good selection of food.
Spacious rooms, nice loveseat, comfortable bed. No stability grab bars in the bath/shower and the tub floor was small and slanted. It felt dangerous. Breakfast was not great. Breads were somewhat stale, eggs were tasteless, bacon had a strong smoky taste, coffee creamer was in big pump containers that were never refrigerated. Sausage patties and bagels were good.
Room was not worth the price. Noisy. Given a handicap accessible room with a large walk-in shower and a tiny shower head.
Check in was a bit challenging. I had 4 adults in my party, so I reserved a room with king bed with pull out couch. When I checkled in I wanted to verify the pull out couch. Front desk person said couch did not pull out so I opted to purchase a second room. After getting to the room learned couch did pull out. Had to go through hassle of returning keys and cancelling the second room. Staff was courteous and helpful, which in the end was what was important and made all ok in the end. In addition the elevator had a caution wet floor sign and had a foul smell. I considered both of these anomalies to the norm and thus rate stay as average. Breakfast was a great amenity. I was not pleased that hotel charged the card I used on orbitz for the reservation on the morning of the reserved stay. I was planning to use a different method of payment at check in, so this action aggravated me and caused some hassle on my end. I stayed at a Hampton in Kokomo the night before and was not charged until I checked in. I get that at a certain point the charge would occur if someone did not show up, but I think those payments should not be put through until the morning after the missed stay. This method would allow different payment methods at checkin!
We usually stay at holiday inns, but they were full. Beds werent as comfortable as i usually expect when out of town. Breakfast also was ok, but not as good as H.I. Hotel was very clean and nice. Pool area nice too
