The property is located very close to Royal mile and hence very convenient. However we were a bit disappointed when we came to know that our one bedroom apartment cooking facilities ere not working due to some safety issues. Whats the use of taking a service apartment if those facilities are not working.

I hope to come stay again

Our stay was better than expected and we were very happy. The staff was kind and helpful. Check-in instructions were sent ahead of time and the actual process went very quickly. We arrived early and staff held our luggage until our room was ready. Our rooms were very quiet, clean and comfortable. We took advantage of the laundry facilities one night, which were available all night and much appreciated. Housekeeping was efficient and maintenance offered to fix a squeaky door for us. The location was central, just a half block off the Royal Mile, which was very convenient. I would stay here again!

We booked two city view rooms at this hotel. Unfortunately, one of the rooms had a severely damaged bathroom — many fixtures were broken, and we couldn’t even turn on the water because the handle was missing. To make matters worse, the phone in the room wasn’t working, so when we discovered the issue late at night, there was no way to contact the front desk. We ended up using the bathroom in the other room to shower, which was quite inconvenient. The next morning, we reported the issue to the front desk. The male staff member responded with a very flat “sorry,” followed by something we couldn’t quite catch — not because it was complicated, but because his tone was so indifferent and procedural that it felt like the matter was already closed. There was no real concern, no attempt to understand what we went through, no “Oh no, I’m really sorry, this shouldn’t have happened” — just a quiet, matter-of-fact response, as if the inconvenience didn’t matter now that we were checking out. It left us feeling that our experience and discomfort were not acknowledged at all.

Best part is the location in the city excellent . It is a heritage building so lots of steps to navigate with luggage . Not very silent either as floor creak as old heritage building . Also noisy , rooms are comfortable staff is good as well .

Very expensive, not really worth it..

Everything was fine… Had 2 different rooms, one had a towel Warmer which didn’t work, & knobs on shower that I couldn’t budge ( told they were new fixtures & very tight) next room was nice but TV didn’t work. Bath amenities were lovely, but for the big price for the room there could have been some lotion & a better makeup mirror.

The hotel is in a great location and is close to many attractions. Breakfast is not included and is spartan at best. There is NO parking, no valet, and the closest parking lot is very expensive and half a mile away. The staff was pleasant but not very engaged. The suite configuration was just right for our party of 3 that included a teenager. Overall we would stay here again with lower expectations and no car.

Pretty much the only issue we had with Edinburgh, was just how hilly it was. Couldn't access the internet, but that wasn't anyone's fault except our US provider. We had a very nice room, and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. I would recommend this hotel, but if travelling by rail, make sure you book a taxi before hand.

Check in was late. We sat in the lobby with little communication. We had to keep asking for updates. We are older and they gave us a room on the 7th floor and the elevator goes to 6 so we had to carry our own luggage up a flight of stairs no offer of help

Great stay in heart of Edinburgh!

We had an Exec studio, which was in fact more like a one bedroom apartment. The lounge area was great for our bags.The bed was really comfortable, and the bathroom spacious. The room had air conditioning, which we have found not often in the UK. A real bonus was being able to open the windows. The lane the complex is on leads straight up to the Royal Mile, so close to everything. Behind it, sets of steepish stairs ran down to Waverley train station. Good for walking to Cockburn St restaurants, but not bag drags. Staff were helpful, qnd the lobby area lovely. You can get breakfast there. We had sometimg simple in rhe cafe next door.
