Hotel room is spacious with room for a sofa in a big alcove . Lovely high ceilings and big windows and big comfortable queen size bed . All the staff are friendly and the whole hotel has a relaxed feel. The hotel is a 20 minute walk from the edinburgh castle . Stick to the shops in that area if you want tourist shops as princes street shops are predominately high st shops
This was my first visit to the Bruntsfield Hotel but it certainly won't be the last. We were there for lunch and everything, from the comfort of the dining area to the welcome and service was first class. The menu catered for all tastes and appetites and the food was beautifully prepared and presented. A thoroughly enjoyable experience and I have no hesitation in recommending a visit.
spent 3 nights in this quietly effecient hotel ,couldnt fault it ,the day we checked in ,17 th July the young lady and man in reception spent 10 minutes advising us of facilities ,tours etc ,indeed all staff were excellent .Lovely city ,lovely hotel, lovely food ,lovely park across the road...All good .
I stayed at this lovely hotel with my parents, the food was amazing, staff exceptional, hotel spotlessly clean. Cannot recommend it highly enough. Will definitely stay again. Cannot fault this hotel in anyway.
Originally booked a double room but as the date got closer I needed a twin and we got one without any hassle. I was up early 04:30 before breakfast, and I needed to get my nutrition sorted as I was racing in a half ironman that day. All I needed was a microwave as I brought breakfast with me, not a problem said the night porter I'll even make you up a breakfast bag for the two of us. Room was spot on, parking was limited but free, and the full Scottish breakfast the following day was worth the wait. Staff in the bar were more than helpful and very good at making me feel welcome. All in all a great stay, I'll return here soon. Thanks to all the staff.
We stayed two lovely nights at the Bruntsfield. The location is fantastic! We walked to the castle, to Arthur's Seat and all over the city from the hotel. We ate dinner here as well as the breakfast buffet and both were adequate. Nothing super fancy, but good food and a reasonable selection. The room was big and quite pretty. The bed was large and really comfortable. The building is on a busy street but it was quiet through the night. The staff are friendly and helpful. Overall a nice hotel with a good location and comfortable rooms.
We stayed at The Bruntsfield Hotel for 5 nights we thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff we're all excellent reception ,room, bar and restaurant all ready to help. It's situated about 5 bus stops from main part of Edinburgh so no problem getting about. Breakfast was cooked fresh as required plus all the usual fruits ,breads and cereal. We also had a couple of meals in The Restaurant too which were also very good. We would definitely go back if in Edinburgh again.
Stayed here over a weekend to celebrate my wife's birthday with family and friends. Room was clean and well presented though a little dark. Breakfast offered an extensive choice, freshly cooked. Our family dinner was excellent, again offering a good choice reasonably priced in the pleasant dining room. Staff throughout were helpful and friendly both at booking and during our stay. The hotel is well situated. Car park is small but there is adequate on street parking nearby. Highly recommended .
The hotel is perfectly located to every sightseeing hotspot. Just a ten minutes walk and you are right at the castle. The staff is very friendly, but and I think that's a special British thing, the single rooms are very, very small. Why must this be? The breakfast was very good. Parking is a bit tricky, but it works out, as long as you are early for check in.
It was one of those two nicely memorable nights. Extremely clean, very courteous and helpful staff. Specious room. Excellent breakfast. The only draw back was the slow wifi but sure this does not compare with all standards provided. Possibly one off. Would not hesitate to recommend it for anyone.
