The Westbury Hotel

Recent guest reviews

I had the chance to stay at the Westbury and couldn't have been more pleased. The location is perfect, steps from Grafton street, Trinity college and a very short walk to Temple bar. The staff is fantastic and welcoming, what you would expect for a 5 star hotel. We were brought macaroons and other treats midday, and when we arrived back from venturing around town the lights had already been turned on, music softly playing and slippers waiting for us on our beds. Each bed had 4 large comfortable pillows, and the room had 2 large velvet chairs. We later stayed up the street at another 5 star hotel and I would have to say this experience was better. Highly recommend.

My family stayed at the Westbury for a week in March 2017 and were so glad we chose this gem of a hotel. The staff are delightful and go out of their way to make sure your stay is comfortable. We found the location to be ideal, within an easy walk of Trinity College, St. Patrick's Cathedral, and the Temple Bar district. There is terrific shopping right outside the hotel's door. We will definitely stay here again.

Beautiful hotel with a great location! Really attentive staff.

We have been to Dublin a few times and have stayed in other quality hotels, this one is by far the nicest we have stayed at.

They found my wallet and returned it to me! I was thrilled and surprised.

My wife and I stayed three nights as part of a 40th anniversary trip. Great location, great room and very polite and professional staff. They helped us plan our days and evenings. I highly recommend the hotel

the staff was great! went to galway for the day was very impressed. visited Dublin castle and malahide castle. people were very friendly.

When we arrived at the Westbury we had to carry our luggage up a flight of stairs to the check-in desk located on the second floor since you are unable to use the elevators until after you check-in. We were told the doorman would have helped ushowever, he was nowhere insight. Then, the hotel wanted to charge an additional 30-40 Euro more each night to switch to a room w/two beds, as initially requested. When I asked what else came with the additional cost the front desk clerk gave us two bottles of water. After requesting to speak with the manager we were given a smaller room with two twin beds, at no additional charge. In addition, there was no electrical outlet in the bathroom to plug the hair dryer into. After a day of shopping we returned to the hotel to find the elevators weren't working, after a fire alarm had sounded earlier. We were told the elevators would restart shortly, but after 10 minutes of waiting it still was not working. Therefore, we had to walk up 4 flights of stairs, and a lady who was coming down the stairs slipped and fell. The hotel is in walking distance to many stores however, it is very outdated, has electrical problems and is very overpriced. I will add that most of the staff was very friendly, as are most Dubliner's. Maybe, once upon a (long) time ago this was a grand 5 star hotel.

Experience was great, except for one bad/overpriced breakfast in the hotel restaurant

Excellent service and attentive concierge. All the amenities expected in a upscale hotel. Great location - close to Trinity College, Christ Church and Temple Bar area.

What a wonderful hotel. Everyone was so friendly, and the valet worked like a charm!

A very nice value hotel right in the middle of things. Cozy, clean and very helpful staff.

I was traveling from West Cork after a month long stay with my grandmother. I decided to take two days to explore Dublin before heading back to the states. I had originally looked at prices for a weekend stay and they were above my budget, but Sunday and Monday were much more reasonable, so I cancelled my reservations at another hotel and booked at the Westbury. I'm so happy I did! The location was perfect! Lots of shopping, eating and sights that are a short walk, bus or cab ride away! The room was small, but beautifully decorated and the beds were very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. From the hot hand towel at check in to the friendly helpful bell hop, to the nightly turn down and multiple replenishments of soaps, shampoos, and lotions, I was so pleased all around! I didn't get a chance to eat at the restaurants or get room service, but I would try it the next time I'm in Dublin because I will definitely stay at the Westbury on my next trip.

Quick one night trip to Dublin, great location off Grafton street and beautiful lobby area to enjoy tea/coffee. Staff was friendly and helpful in ensuring our timely departure for airport the next morning.

We had only a single night's stay in Dublin and decided to stay at the Westbury to be walking distance to whatever we could fit in in 1 night. It is a beautiful hotel and our room was spacious and meticulous. Staff was friendly and exceedingly courteous & helpful. Made us wish we had a longer stay there! We will be return to the Westbury on another occasion for sure.

Great experience! Beautiful hotel. Friendly staff. Good food. Comfy bed

This is a wonderful hotel. The staff is very helpful, the rooms are comfortable and very clean, and overall a luxury experience. The location is fantastic!

Excellent hotel in perfect, central location near Temple Bar, Trinity College and Grafton St. A couple great pubs steps from the front door and the most helpful staff at the front door that you could ever ask for.

We love the location of this hotel; it's conveniently located in the middle of the Dublin's city centre, and sorrounded by restaurants and nice shops. Also, the rooms are clean and spacious; we reserved a studio room. We had lunch at The Gallery located on the first floor of the hotel; the members of the staff are very attentive and the lunch menu was exquisite. In addition, we recommend the valet parking of the hotel. Definitely, this is a very nice place to stay in Dublin; we plan to visit them again.

High end hotel in great shopping location in Dublin. Great local food and pubs nearby. Spacious, clean rooms Highly recommended
