Arrived on Tuesday 11th July 2017 at 2.55 still not checked in at 4.10! When we arrived we were told the room wasn't ready and would be 10 to 15 minutes not a big problem so we took a seat in reception 1 hour later still not checked in. When eventually checked in we were told because we booked 2 packages totalling 3 nights we would have to check out the following morning and check back in. Then we were told our package didn't include dinner but luckily my husband had the emails with him confirming dinner was included. Got to our room 139 straight across from the fitness suite. Room was ok until the thumping of the treadmill started not great when you have children trying to sleep!! My husband went down to reception but was told no other available rooms and he asked to moved to another room the next day. In the morning we had to pack everything up and check out only to be told we couldnt check back in until 3pm. The new room was ok. The packages included a dinner 2 nights and both nights the same small menu would have been nice to have a different choice. No kids drinks available in the vending machines/bar would be good to stock fruit shoots/capri suns etc as not all children like fizzy drinks. The breakfast was ok. All in all ok but reception staff really need to be trained better as they clearly don't have a clue. Would not hurry back due to the problems we had.
Only stayed for one night. Free decent wi fi, greeted with a smile at reception. Room was very clean and bright, excellent toiletries and both power shower and bath in the bathroom. Well equipped too. Room had coffee and tea facilities, iron and iron board and nice tv. Food at the bar was excellent and great menu. It arrived on wooden boards. I had fish and chips and was stunning. Bar staff very friendly and the Guinness was awesome. Great one night stay
Having stayed at the hotel many times it provides the level and service which meets and fits the standards I would expect. Rooms are very nice and clean, wi-fi is excellent, the bar staff always helpful and the food is good... simply suitable and in the right location for the business visits to Blanchardstown
I stayed in the Carlton Sat nite didn't get there till late that evening as I had a long day of travelling when arrived I was met by front desk staff Tom he was a very helpful person as we had a lot of questions his knowledge of the hotel and surrounding around were excellent, exactly what we needed. When we went to our room it was just perfect our stay was just too comfortable and to top it all off the breakfast was 👍👍👍. Thanks again Tom and the Carlton Hotel.
Nice hotel. Had a business trip for 4 days. Many people as the hotel are close to the airport. Restaurant are fine. A small selection of good food. Internet WIFI are slow. It should be better on a hotel of this class.
Stayed here for a week with work. Lovely staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms are nice size and have everything you need. Very comfy bed. Only ate in the bar but food was very good. The breakfast is the best I've had in a hotel. And the Guinness was delicious!!! Would happily stay here again
I stayed at this hotel in Sept. 2016, it is a very Good spacious hotel, I was upgraded to an amazingly large wonderful Suite. It is a very clean, modern hotel, the only disadvantage is beeing far from Dublin. We took a taxi that could not find it (no gps)and we took 1,30 hours to get there...the bus is easier and safer to take(45min) from Dublin. The food was a bit weak comparing to the good quality of the hotel.
The hotel was fantastic, the staff were very helpful and the hospitality was great. We enjoyed 4 nights there for our 25th anniversary, the food in the restaurant was excellent and the rooms very spacious including all the mod cons.
I like this hotel. I stay here whenever I am in this area. The executive rooms a just very nice, and ideal if you are away on business, with plenty of room to work, comfortable and great WiFi. I find the location excellent but down expect views over rolling countryside as a business park is adjacent. I have to mention the staff, who have always found delightful and helpful. So why not 5 stars? Simple the food in the bar needs to be a bit more imaginative. After several days it does get tedious. That said the rest compensates and I will continue to stay. Its a safe bet
Nice hotel, very friendly and helpful staff, good bar food and breakfast. Very convenient to National Indoor Arena. BUT I rang and requested quiet room, my daughter had gymnastics competition next day. The sound of extremely loud disco music from 1:30-2:45am was unbearable. Thankfully my daughter slept through it, but I didn't! I am very disappointed, since I rang and requested quiet room after hearing stories from other families based on their experience of noise during earlier qualifying rounds. Other minus was uncomfortable pillows. Recommend to bring your own. Otherwise beds are comfortable. I would stay here again, so long I was guaranteed a quiet room. Since request in advance didn't work for me, I recommend you also insist on it during checkin. My mistake was thinking that it would be accommodated by requesting in advance. (We were given room on second floor, other families advise that higher floors are quieter)
