The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

I loved staying at this hotel! The room was spacious, comfortable, clean, and the bathroom was great as it had two different sort of showers. Bed was big and comfortable, tea/coffee making amenities were generous, and the room was also quiet and relaxing that I was able to get a quality sleep without being woken up by outside noise. Staff were helpful (arrange a taxi for me for the next morning). It was so comfortable I almost didn't want to leave the hotel to explore the city!

Decent hotel, very nice staff. Great location very centrally located. Nice places to eat close by.

We loved this hotel. It is located in a beautiful neighborhood and within walking distance to St. Stephens Green and Grafton Street. There is also a pretty canal across the street with a walking path and bike route. The neighborhood has many coffee haunts, pubs, and restaurants. Two convenience stores as well, etc. We did quite a bit of walking here because of the location. But there are plenty of taxis and buses. We could even walk a short distance to catch the popular Hop On Hop Off tourist buses. After a busy day of sightseeing, it was nice to come back to our modern, yet quiet hotel. After catching up on texts and emails, it was a short walk to a number of pubs and restaurants. The surrounding neighborhoods are gorgeous. It is very safe and welcoming.

I have stayed twice -- both for at least one week. And it's a very comfortable, safe, and high-quality hotel.

I give the hotel a soso. The staff was not very friendly and acted like they are to busy to help out or care. The parking is not ideal and they really give you no option to park after 8am. As there lot only has about 15 spots and it is always full. The rooms are big yet the beds are very uncomfortable!! Lastly no AC. Not a big deal on the night we were there as it got down to 69deg out. But we asked for a room fan and they acted like that was a big deal.

Very nice. Friendly helpful staff. Nice bar downstairs.

This is a nice hotel, have all the services that you want. If you want to safe money there is some coffee shops and small restaurants where you can have breakfast and lunch. is 10-15 minutes walking to the dontown (temple bar, trinity college, ha´penny bridge etc). I think is a excelent option to visit Dublin.

Nice hotel, easy walk to Stephens Green Park and shopping. Taxi and bus stops nearby along with really nice restaurants, pubs and coffee shops.

We enjoyed our stay at the Mespil Hotel in September 2016. It was in a great location, just south of the city center within easy walking distance or a quick bus ride to the major attractions in town. The staff (day, afternoon, and evening) was very pleasant, knowledgable, and welcoming. Cozy atmosphere in the bar lounge where we ended up dining every night with engaging waiters bringing food and drinks. The breakfasts in the morning are either Continental or full Irish and served in their spacious dining restaurant. The housekeeping staff, two of whom I met, were very nice and made sure we had all we needed. The rooms had a good layout and were quite comfortable and quiet (we faced the back of the hotel, away from the street). We enjoyed the local photography artwork on our room floor hall as well. All in all, definitely a terrific hotel in which we would stay again.

We had a great experience at the Mespil. Staff were very nice and helped us arrange to arrive early from the US so we could get some rest before we started our Dublin experience. It was a 15-20 min walk to city center so we didnt drive at all while staying there. I would reccommend if you dont mind being away from the center city.

We had a pleasant stay for two nights. Our room is spacious, clean and the bed is very comfy. There are a few quick bite options nearby, where we walked for morning coffee and sat to watch the local out and about. The hotel is not super close to the city center, and it took us about 25-30 minutes to walk to the temple bar area. It also seemed to get many tourist groups during our stay. As a matter of fact our room was not ready when we checked in around 2pm. We waited for at least an hour and had to go up to check for availability. If we did not ask, we might have to wait even longer. While we were waiting, no one seemed to care to offer even a glass of water, which is really odd for a 4 star hotel.

Excellent staff, good location in a quiet neighborhood but within a walking distance to the main city center attractions.

About a 20 minute walk from the main downtown area, but good price overall. Very clean and spacious rooms.

I had an awesome time in Dublin and the Mespil was a great location for me. Everywhere I wanted to go, in Dublin, was only a short walk from the hotel. I would stay there again.

I did not spend much time at hotel as I was on the go most of the time. Did not use restaurant so no opinion. Hotel did provide 2 courtesy computers in lobby which was nice for checking email. Did not see any room thermostat and room got pretty warm at times. Staff provided on time wake up calls. Hotel is a distance from tourist areas but public transportation is nearby. Would stay again.

The Mespil Hotel was centrally located within walking distance to museums and parks. It was a little further walk to the central part of Dublin. The front desk people were very accommodating, the breakfast very nice, and the rooms clean and adequate. A bus stops every morning in front of the hotel to take people to the Hop Off and On bus tour. Highly recommend taking it. We enjoyed the Guinness and Jameson whiskey tours and also the archaelogical museum. It was about a half mile walk to the Dart (the speed train) from the Mespil. We took a 20 minute train ride south to Dalkey, a quaint town along the coast which has a lovely castle and church.

Very well located - short walking distance from Steven's Green (10 min.), Temple Bar (20 min.), O'Connel Street (20 min.). The staff was extremely helpful. Very clean! One restaurant in-house. I was rather busy, so I only had a breakfast there once (glad I did not pay for the breakfast included in the rate).

Fantastic modern Hotel on the south end of the city. The neighborhood is safe and very clean, there is a Starbucks right next door and a fantastic Italian restaurant around the corner. A 10 to 15 minute walk to the center of Dublin and most tourist areas. The Mespil is located close to major highways if driving around Ireland is on your agenda. My wife and I went to see a concert at RDS Arena which was about a 10 minute walk through a great neighborhood - The Mespil is very clean, staff is very friendly and helpful, I would stay here again. Free parking if you can get into the lot, otherwise there is easy to find street parking nearby.

No airport shuttle. Hotel was several blocks from a bus stop. WiFi did not work in the room. Hotel is a 20+ minute walk from City Center.
