From the beginning with our early checkin to our final checkout, all staff was very nice. We enjoyed several meals . All meals ew

We arrived from the states after a long red eye with 2 young children to a concierge that asked if I was with the tour group. I said no and he said "well your American so I assumed you were". This was not the welcome I had hoped for. He then told me at 1:30 to come back at 2 (check in time) which we did. We came back and had a woman rudely jump in front of us in line and the same gentleman looked at me and said "she was here first in the morning". I don't see how that mattered since check in wasn't until 3 but she proceeded to ask about 10 different rooms and their availability as our family exhausted and in need of sleep waited. We then get up to our room to take a much needed shower only to see that there are no wash clothes. We made the most of our overnight abs thought the exterior of the hotel was lovely but would not be using this hotel as our overnight before driving to our family's home again.

Bus stop was right outside window and Windows would not close and they were covers with spider webs.

We had a great experience. Definitely would recommend to anyone going to Dublin. Close enough to the city , but still quiet at if night.

Very friendly staff. Beautiful hotel. Nice neighborhood. Loved their cappuccino.

It's a beautiful old building, very quiet, good breakfast buffet, great neighborhood for restaurants, three stops from the center of town via light rail.

This was the last leg of the trip. We had such a great time. The Dublin tour bus event stops next to the hotel. Great area to walk around and eat at local restaurants. Staff was very helpful.

I booked no fewer than 8 people into the room for a show. They all enjoyed the hotel!

I was impressed with the grandness of the building and the professionalism of most of the staff. Be sure to understand what you are ordering at the bar and restaurant. American versions differ! Reception staff was extremely helpful and there are bus stops that go directly to town and airport. nice little neighborhood pubs. while we were there, there were quite a few children because of the holiday season...a little too loud at times but not their usual environment. The bartender/stafff Anis was an absolute delight and great rep for the Bewleys corp.

nice hotel, low price which is what I am most travelers really care about

Nice staff, large room, lovely bath tub. Very close to where I was doing business the RDS. Need to grab a cab to get into city center, but a nice and safe area.

Overall the hotel was nice and clean. They seemed to be significantly under staffed. No one answered the front desk phone when we called from our room and there was a long line for check in. The baby cot was low quality. It didn't have a flat smooth surface for the mattress to sit on. They don't loan plug adapters; we had to buy one for 10 euro in a vending machine. The neighborhood is nice though and we took a nice walk while there. Overall good value for being around Dublin but average service.

The building is very beautiful, it looks like a castle. The rooms are clean and they provide a kettle if you would like to make some tea or coffee. Near the hotel there are some beautiful pubs to have a drink without going to the city center. The cost of a ride on cab to the city center is about 10€.

A beautiful hotel located in an upscale quiet Dublin neighborhood, but still has convenient access to City Centre!

We stayed at Bewleys Ballsbridge for 15 nights whilst visiting family in Dublin and nearby towns. The hotel itself is in a fine, elegant old building. The structure and grounds are classically beautiful while the inside has been thoroughly modernized with modern acouterments. The rooms are sizable with plenty of space for clothing and travel gear. Free wireless at the hotel made internet access a non-issue. The location at Ballsbridge on Merrion Road is 15 minutes or less from absolutely anywhere in the greater Dublin area. Easy access to taxi and bus services as well as available underground parking at the hotel itself made this a perfect site considering the dearth of parking on street in such a compact and lively city. The Brasserie restaurant was marvelous. The food was plentiful and delicious, well prepared and the serving staff are polite, efficient and non-intrusive. The Bar oozes 'old world' charm and the coffee bar is always quick and easy for those on the run, needing a cuppa and a sandwich for a quick bite. The only things I would suggest are lacking are no mini-fridge in the rooms and no in-hotel gift shop. These in no way however detracted from our enjoyment of our stay at this fantastic gem in Dublin's fair city!! We will DEFINITELY be staying here again!!

Nice hotel in beautiful Ballsbridge neighborhood...good value for money, although anything else is an extra cost, local phone calls, internet on single computer by hotel desk, etc....which may irk some travelers....however, i'd stay again b/c the area is totally safe, plan on using transit as the hotel is a bit from the city center, probably not a good bet if you are intent on nightlife in dublin, best for families....

The hotel is located in a nice upper class area of town, only one block from the US embassy. The room was comfortable and quiet and the staff couldn't do enough for us. The city bus was at the door and for 1.15 Euros you were in town center in 15 Min. The bus from the airport doesn't stop here any more, drag your suitcases for 25 min to get to the hotel. Taxi is 24 Euros compared to the bus at 18 Euros for two from the airport, we took it back and also saved 20 min. The food at the restaurant was OK but frozen french fries with a so so main course seasoned with salt and no veg or green salad for 25 E was not worth it. Eat elsewhere for a nice dinner at a reasonable price and something more interesting. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again on our next trip to Dublin.

A really nice hotel in a safe area, but not convenient to really anything. The AirCoach no longer stops by it. A bus does run just outside the main gates, but is only reliable after 9am and before 10pm, costs 2.15 euro one way, and takes about 15 minutes to get to downtown Dublin. If you have a car of your own, then I would absolutely recommend this hotel as it is very clean, comfortable, with friendly staff.

It was wonderful and perfect for us! No it's not in the middle of downtown, but within a 5 minute walk you can be at the DART station. Within 10 minutes you'll be in downtown Dublin. And if you're into walking, it's about a 45 minute walk to downtown. You'll get to see some wonderful buildings along the way.

Great location, easy access to airport coach, DART train and bus. No need to rent a car. Good restaurant and bar. Comfortable room and beds. New flat screen TVs since last visit. Lighting could be better in rooms but they are all on the save energy drive. Would be great if they had a gym , but when the weather cooperates you can have a nice run along the sea front overlooking Dublin Bay.
