Nice hotel not in city center so unless you rent a car can get pricey on taxies.. nice place and service was excellent..

From the moment you walk into the foyer you are swept away and all your stressors disappear! Very relaxing and atmospheric. The staff at the front desk are beyond accommodating. Thank you for a great stay!

Good food available for breakfast and bar food. (We did not try the upscale restaurant Fahrenheit for dinner) We stayed 2 weeks prior to Christmas holiday and the decorations were beautiful. The castle, outside, entryway, lobby, hallways and suites are nicely appointed with antiques and art. The hallways tend to be on the darker side in the winter.. Room had a nice bathroom, and room controlled heat (not always in IRL). We had a great deal through orbitz . If you can buy breakfast included it is well worth it. We also received discount on breakfast on our arrival because we were stay there. My partner was very ill from traveling and the staff were able to assign us a room right away. Anything we needed they were most willing and gracious in providing assistance or information. Given the price it was spectacular.. if we had to pay rack ...

From your first view to the last, will be remembered for a lifetime. Staff went out of their way to please.

Great location, close to the airport. Excellent personnel, awesome food and incredible customer service

This hotel is about 20 min. 20 euro cab ride from the happening areas of dublin. I was told the room was remodeled but they must have forgotten the bathroom. The tub was dirty and moldy. Lastly, the best part was the friendly and helpful staff!

Was only here for a short stay on sunday October 16. Robby and Chris at knights bar were completely amazing. Catered to my every need. Gave me excellent recommendations for what to do in town with limited time. Also gave me excellent recommendations for what whiskeys to get from duty free. The rest of the staff was super accomondating, may me feel at home. Would highly recommend this hotel/heaven to anyone!!!

Obviously staying in a castle already has your attention. The rooms were beautiful and the breakfast was delicious. The staff greeted and served with a sincere smile. Thank you Clontarf!!!

We very much enjoyed our stay, the castle was gorgeous and the staff very helpful. I did not care for how easily the beds rolled on their wheels though. Only complaint.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Castle and would return there should the opportunity arise. It is a beautiful hotel with a great staff. The hotel is located in a residential area, away from the city center. While this was not an issue for us, visitors should be aware of this. The hotel is on a bus route. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet and its wide range of options.

It has a great balance of old, new, and luxury. The dinners are 5 star amazing. We had salmon and a steak. Cooked to perfection and the stuffing In the mushroom is probably the most delicious meal that's touched my tongue. Highly recommend.

We capped off our two week European trip for three couples by staying at the Contarf Castle. The Castle combines the fascination and romance of an ancient castle with the charm of a newer hotel. The entrance and most public areas are in the old castle. But the rooms themselves are in a newer structure that blends in architecturally with the original castle. We were pleased that we paid for breakfast with our stay. The food options were plentiful and delicious. Since we rented cars and parking was free at the castle, we didn't mind that we were about 15 minutes from downtown Dublin.

Overall a good place to stay. Location is great if you want to be away from the city. The staff is very friendly. However, the first room we were in was the size of a closet. The second room was definitely bigger but next to an area where a lot of service people worked - so very noisy not to mention it was above the lounge where when a party happened you could hear the music until very late.

There was something wrong with their software. I booked and paid via Orbitz, but the guy said that I didn't, so he charged it again when I was checking out. Luckily, another lady saw that and she refunded me right on the spot.

Comfortable ammodations, clean rooms, excellent staff and good restuarants. Close to city center about 12 euro taxi ride to O'connell street sites. The beds were very comfortable, the staff was efficient and professional, the bar and restaurant were both good. It had free parking for rental car. Was close to both Dublin downtown attractions plus easy to get to nearby attractions in Malahide, Glasnevin, and Howth.

Excellent hotel in a good location just outside the main tourist area of Dublin Ireland. Close to city center by taxi. The breakfast and dinner were excellent. The room are small but very comfortable they are also clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Enjoyed the history involved with the hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Beautiful hotel. Close enough to the town but far enough from the noise. Great service, great stay!

It was a fantastic place. Everyone was super friendly and the food was excellent. We enjoyed the quaint room with all the amenities. It was our first stop of our trip and it was a highlight.

Concierges (Graham and Tina) were both helpful with booking reservations and providing information. The staff at the restaurant was cheerful and fish n chips were great!
