This hotel is close to everything- shopping, dining, pubs, bars, and nightlife! Our only complaints would be the pillows were not great and the room was very warm and we couldn't cool things off. We even slept with the windows open both nights. Otherwise, it was a beautiful and friendly hotel.

This was the last bit of our vacation and we were only in Dublin for about 36 hours. It was centrally located to a lot of the tours, shopping, and local sights. The hotel itself has a classic lobby and the rooms, while a tad on the old side, were clean and fairly comfortable. We had twin beds and my only complaint was that they were on rollers, so if you leaned on them or tossed a little too suddenly in the middle of the night, you were about to take a wild ride. I would definitely stay here again if I wanted to be close to the touristy Dublin locales. Hot tip: Breakfast at the hotel is OUTRAGEOUSLY expensive. We did eat there one day and the second day we walked down a couple of blocks and found a better buffet style breakfast with far more options for FAR cheaper.

This hotel is in a great location. The table wait-staff could use a bit more training but tried hard anyway. The room space was wonderful. I would choose to return again for a future stay.

The hotel is rather stark upon entry and our room, although very clean, was also rather stark and did not look as if it had been updated in some time. The best thing about the hotel is its location on o'Connell Street, with easy access to all the important area of the city. Especially enjoyed being able to,walk along the Liffy River.

This was our fourth stay at The Gresham. As usual, the room was clean, towels large, the room was nicely updated. Very quiet. The hotel was crowded while we were there but we never felt like we had to wait for anything. The housekeeping and front desk employees were great. The bar tenders at the Writer's Bar were great. They made a very fine bourbon old fashion. Loved our stay.

The Gresham hotel is beautiful. My husband and I were on holiday in Dublin and found the hotel to be everything we expect at a 4 star hotel. The front desk staff was awesome and able to assist us in our every need. Callen (concierge) handled all details for a trip to Belfast for us and with check-in and boarding passes for our flight to Copenhagen.

I was on a business trip to Dublin and stayed at the Gresham for a week. The hotel is a piece of Dublin's history, excellent location, great staff, 5 star treatment. The rooms were nice even though some of the furniture was dated it still had that historic look and feel. Wi-Fi is spotless and you have all the amenities you need in the room. The rooms facing O'Connell street can get a little noisy but have a view. The ones in the back are quieter.

We enjoyed staying here, and our room was comfortable, clean, and quiet. It was a convenient place for tour bus pick-up, but a long walk to most of the attractions. Lucky for us, we enjoyed the walks.

Great hotel in the heart of Dublin. Close to all attractions. Friendly and courteous staff.

I stayed here with my husband and 7 month old baby last week and it was a wonderful stay. We had emailed the hotel prior to staying asking if the hotel had a baby bed and microwave to sterilize bottles. The hotel always answered in less than 24 hours and said that they have baby beds for rent and a microwave in the kitchen that we could ask staff to help us use. We got to Dublin 7 hours before we could check in and we thought that we would just leave our luggage with the concierge while we toured the city. Instead, the concierge told us we could just check into the room! That was so great! To sterilize the bottles, we had to ask the staff to use the microwave about 6 or 7 times throughout the day and they were always very helpful. The hotel had robes for us to use and a heated drying rack which I loved! The only 2 caveats were that the hot water did not get hot enough and when we asked the front desk if they could send someone to help us with the thermostat, they sent an electronic radiator instead. They told us that the thermostat is only for AC so for heat they used only radiators?! Luckily it didn't get too cold on our trip so the radiator was ok.

Gave 2 seniors a room down a long hallway that was furthest from the elevators. The bed was extremely hard, uncomfortable and small (only full not queen) with pillows that were flat as a pancake. Every morning noisy birds outside our window would wake us up at the crack of dawn. BUT....the hotel IS in a great location.

Excellent location for all our business needs. Staff were over-the-top helpful will all our tour hosting needs. THANK YOU!

We happened to stay here during warm weather. The room was very very hot and there was no air conditioning. We called 3x before we got a fan. Our room looked out to another building so there was no air circulation through the windows. The towel heater would not turn off. We called several times, but noone showed up to fix it. There were no wash cloths. the blow dryer did not work. The in room coffee was instant... Would not go back.

The hotel was wonderful. Great location in the city. They gave us a free room upgrade for the entire week. Everyone was beyond helpful and nice. Very pleasant experience.

This is a lovely classic old hotel. Loved the fact that the Beatles and U2 both have stayed there before. :o) Great staff and nice facility. Recommended.

I'm not a snob about hotels. I need a nice, clean and warm place to sleep. The Gresham was all of those things but it's been billed as 4 stars. It is certainly not a 4 star hotel, it is just 3 stars, if that. The room itself while clean, including the bathroom, was drab and just meh. Again, I don't need chandeliers and glittery sheets but I was underwhelmed since its supposedly a 4 star place. The beds were springy and pretty uncomfortable but still clean. The bathroom had nice hot water and good water pressure but their toiletries they offered were of below average quality and they did not even have conditioner. The tape seal on my shampoo was already broken (do not use if seal is broken) which I only realized after I was in the shower. The shampoo is also labeled as moisturizing. I assure you it is not. The exterior and lobby of the hotel are nice but misleading. The rooms do not reflect the same grandeur as the exterior of the hotel. Staff was friendly and the location is pretty good but thats mostly considering that Dublin is not a huge city so as long as you are somewhere in the city you're probably near everything you want to see. It was fine for our one night stay and I didn't feel dirty or taken advantage of but this place was a bit expensive for what it actually was and is just definitely not 4 stars, at all.

The hotel was in a great location and had some charm. The room was clean and comfortable but I must say that I did not have a 5 star experience. My room window faced a dirty alley that was constantly noisy and the window did not seal very well, there was a constant cold draft. The wifi internet did not work well and I could not keep a connection and at most times if would not connect at all. The breakfast buffet for 20 euro was the worst I have ever experienced, not something you would expect from a 5 start hotel.

I had a nice stay at the Gresham. The lobby areas are well appointed. The rooms had all the right amenities and were good sized. The only issue I encountered was someone pulled a fire alarm at 3am on saturday night/sunday morning so we all the hotel guests had to trek out to the streets in our PJs. This is obviously not the hotels fault but it definitely did damper my experience.

The hotel is upgrading some rooms and not others. I was in 2 seperate rooms during my trip. One was upgraded and the other wasn't. The upgraded one was much nicer and more acceptible. My shower in the orig room as not really working properly and the beds were not that comfortable.

We stayed at the Gresham Hotel for three days and enjoyed our stay. Some problems arose during our visit but the staff solved them right away. The mattress was too hard for me. Also loved the key light switch thing. Great idea. Never saw that before. Our Afternoon tea on Tuesday was lovely and our waitress was very sweet. Most of the servers were friendly and helpful. I would definitely go there again.
