Trapp Family Lodge

3.5 out of 5.0

Who doesnt love the Trapp family? Ur it's not reason enough to stay at the lodge. It's dated, no microwave or fridge and the elevator was out for months they told us (yikes climbing four flights in winter gear!). The restaurant menu was so odd... very unusual options... nothing we would order. We love their story and wish them success but fear they won't do well without some updates.

Great experience- although don't go if you're not fond of 'the Sound of Music'! the ski trails are really top-class, food is excellent and staff friendly and helpful.

Beautiful setting with great facilities and an attentive staff. We enjoyed having a light dinner outside at the lounge. Clean rooms and engaging activities even in summer. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Trapp family lodge is very famous hotel as old movie. It is very good to remember when I was young. There are a lot of opportunity to have fun near hotel. Please enjoy at the hotel.

We loved our stay at the lodge. It far exceeded our expectations and we hope to make it an annual trip!

Location can't be beat.....gorgeous landscaping and rusic lodge. The hotel is not pristine and updated, but very realistic for an Austrian lodge, which is what it is built for. Staff was only average but our dinner was very good and our room had a beautiful view of the mountains. Would stay there again!

There is a lot to enjoy for family with children / very many different activities / , wonderful surrounding of the mountains area, what else could possibly involve to have a wonderful vacation ... we would recommended without any hesitation ... Little Austrians in Big Vermont ......all very friendly people, from the Lodge stuff to the people in the town of Stove. I hope that we could come back.

OK who doesn't love the "Sound of Music". A very nice lodge and accomodations. Overall a nice property but for the money you can do better. Still have the runs after spending $150 on dinner for 2. Fire alarm beeped every 1.5 minutes for the entire weekend due to a low battery. When I reported this to the front desk, all they said was that a work order had been placed. For $300/night I expect more.

The staff at the Trapp Family Lodge is dedicated to serving their guests. Service is as good as it gets. The facility is very confortable and the setting is outstanding. Although we were very busy during our stay, it is the perfect place to do nothing but enjoy the surroundings.

Elegant yet friendly service in a beautiful place.

The setting is gorgeous, the hotel charming but when you are on the road all day and want a nice quiet relaxing dinner and are told that the attire my young daughter was wearing was not "business casual" enough to eat in the main dining room and are directed to the "lounge" next door where ther is someone playing the piano too loudly for the small room and we couldn't even converse with each other while paying 25.000 per entree??!!! Disappoining!
