They accommodated us and we had really late checkin, left us directions on how to get our key and get to our room. We loved how nice and quaint it was. We had the room with the Murphy Bed and it was comfortable and we enjoyed our one night stay. The Butler Pantry downstairs had a great breakfast and everyone was very nice.

The pull-down bed was a surprise but it was comfortable albeit not leaving much room to move around once it was down. The hotel promotes a hands-off approach with limited housekeeping, which is fine if you know what to expect. Great location in the heart of town. Quiet Path is easily accessible for an invigorating walk in beautiful surroundings. The breakfast is the talk of the town and rightly so although don’t expect any preferential treatment as a guest of the hotel. Our room was above the restaurant, which meant we were woken early as the chairs and tables were set out at about 6:30 am

We stayed in Max's Roost and it was great having a one bed room apartment in the middle of downtown. Plenty of space to be comfortable and even a kitchen if you wanted that available. We loved the proximity to all the restaurants and the check in and check out process was easy and quick. Overall a great stay.

We stayed here for one night on a recent trip. The accommodation is a bed sit in a quaint old building. The bedsit had a pull down bed from the wall, sitting area. It was spotlessly clean and well equipped with a cooker/microwave, fridge, sink, cutlery and crockery, so if you wanted to eat in you could. It had a shower and toilet en-suite. The accommodation is situated in Stowe high street but has free parking right behind the building. It also has very good WiFi. Stowe is a lovely town. There are numerous restaurants and bars just outside the accommodation. Also the owners run a coffee shop downstairs where you can buy a delicious breakfast and also get a 20% discount if you are staying at the Butler House. We would definitely stay here again if we were in this area.

Really enjoyed staying in Butler House. Very (very) clean room. Very cosy and everything you could want for a short stay. Breakfast is not included - you pay for it like many others who just come in to the house for breakfast (but it’s an excellent breakfast so don’t miss out)

We stayed one night in the Lounge Room. It was spacious, comfortable, and pretty quiet, especially considering we were on the ground floor on the front side of the house. Breakfast at the Butler’s Pantry was wonderful as well, and the entrance was right next to our door! Would stay again.

Stayed an overnight here in September-what a cute little place! Right on Main Street-central to what the village of Stowe has to offer. We were booked in the lounge room which incidentally has its own entrance-that was nice. The room is spacious-original wood floors, ornamental fireplace, queen bed, table and chairs, love seat and small kitchen area with fridge, microwave, Kuerig, Green Mtn coffee and tableware. Off this room was a small bathroom with shower. What a great space- We were concerned about potential noise as the room faces Main St. but that was not an issue at all-everything pretty much shuts down early including the street traffic. Nice thick curtains covered the 4 large windows in the room so dark not an issue for sleeping. Never checked in with a live person, but the process was smooth-as they leave the room key inside the front door. We ate at Butlers pantry for breakfast-get there early-it fills up fast and stays busy for a few hours! Breakfast was great and included a 20% discount for being a guest there. Would definitely stay here again if I am up that way and would also recommend!

Don't hesitate and reserve now! We stayed in Zoe's Loft and love it, everyone at the hotel was nice and courteous. The Stowe Rec Path entry is right in front and they even have complimentary bikes you can take. The breakfast downstairs at The Butler's Pantry was delicious. We will definitely be back very soon.

We stayed, two nights, in the Butler's Hideaway room and we couldn't have been happier. Very clean, big fluffy towels, creamers in the fridge and coffee pods in the cupboard. It was nice to be able to close off the bedroom, with the french doors so one person could stay up without bothering the other. Our name and room number was stuck to the wall so we knew that we were all set. The room was unlocked and the key was in the room, but there was also another key, in the ski locker near the back door -they gave you the code to open the locker. We had been warned about the morning kitchen noise, but honestly, wasn't an issue. There was a white noise machine, in the bedroom, if someone wanted to plug it in. Lots of information on Stowe and the surrounding area, in a loose leaf notebook, on the coffee table. Plenty of free parking in the back of the house. And breakfast at the Butler's Pantry was one of the best that we've ever had! (Wish I had known about the 20% discount that some reviewers mentioned, but it wouldn't have mattered-the food was that good) We'll be back next year!!!

We found our stay here to be rather disconcerting due to the fact that we never saw or heard anyone else there during our stay - staff included. We found our room number written on a post-it note which was stuck on the wall in the entrance. We then had to find our room which was unopened with the key left on a table inside. The room was clean but felt very unwelcoming and the bed was folded up against the wall and was hidden behind a curtain! The whole building looked shabby and dark both inside and out. The restaurant was closed during our stay - again another hand written note posted on the door. Thankfully we only spent one night there.
