We stayed at the Butler House (in the Parlour Room) to celebrate our 8th anniversary. We were pleasantly surprised with how much we loved not only the room but the restaurant, and the location.

The property was located right in the heart of town, the room was very clean and cozy. There was no front desk but the self check-in, check-out procedures were well explained. Would definitely recommend staying there.

We were in a beautifully appointed room but we could hear noise from those above us. The Butler Pantry was closed which was also unfortunate. Otherwise our stay was perfect.

Loved our stay at the Butler house! Only bad thing I can say is that the hallway smelled like cat urine. They need to throw those rugs away!

The stay has been absolutely wonderful! The Lounge room has its own private entrance, and it’s much bigger than the pictures made it look. The original wood flooring has the cute creeks that I love. The high ceilings add such a great feel to the gorgeous room. To wrap it all up, today is September 11th, the church across the street has been ringing it’s bell for a full minute on each time in remembrance of our lost loved ones. Highly recommend this place. The town is quant.

Great location, comfortable spacious room, right next door to delicious coffee shop.

We've been staying at the Butler house for years. It is like a second home to us. The accommodations are perfect for our needs and we want for nothing. Facilities are clean and neat, breakfast at the new on site restaurant is wonderful and we would not stay elsewhere in Stowe. The management has become a friend--what else could one ask for?

Excellent hotel in a historical building right in downtown Stowe, VT.

We happened upon the Butler House when my wife and I were looking to escape a Boston snowstorm and get to Stowe a day earlier. Had we known about this place, we would have booked our entire stay here. The room was comfortable and spacious. They even provided a heated locker room to store our ski equipment. The owner was kind enough to take us on a tour and offer tips for our stay. I would highly recommend this place.
