Great location right off Upper O'Connell Street, very easy LUAS access, shopping, great pubs and fast food nearby. Warm and inviting lobby and lounge, pleasant staff. Not being familiar with the Point A brand, however, we were startled by the tiny size of the rooms, and corresponding lack of amenities. They contained no desk, a single foldable chair strapped to the wall with no real spot to place it, barely enough floor space to accommodate suitcases, no mini-fridge or microwave, and no sense of comfort whatsoever. The rooms also feature, for some reason, a frosted glass bathroom door that reflects the bathroom light through the room when in use, as opposed to a solid door that enables others in the room to remain asleep, and which is also not particularly soundproof. Understanding it is toward the budget end of chain hotels, Point A best serves those who are planning to spend very little time in the hotel room, and value location and price more than any semblance of comfort.

The staff were very welcoming and friendly, and we had positive interactions every time, which is a real positive. The room was clean, but a little cold, and the heating kept turning off, even though it certainly wasn’t 26 degrees in there! The location is excellent, with shops and transport links right there. Amazing value for money, room is small but has everything you need & you won't be spending much time there anyway. Breakfast was just right to start the day with a good selection of food. Nice that you can have as much as you wish as well. Location is perfect right in the city centre so very easy to get around - close to bus, tram and train stations. Would not hesitate to come back

A bit noisy at night. Room is very small but staff is helpful. We picked this hotel because of an early flight and it is a short walk (2 blocks) to the airport coach stop which is very convenient. Staff had a breakfast packed up ready for us at checkout.
