Great staff and location. Very helpful when I had questions and the breakfast was delicious. Had a “to-go” breakfast option that you request the night before which was so helpful as we had excursions that left at 6:50 in the morning. Would stay at again.

Literally round the corner from buses to airport & minutes walk into the city. Bought a ‘leap’ ticket to get me around on buses & trams, value for money. Quick check in, friendly staff. All areas of hotel spotless. Room lovely, clean & whilst compact more than adequate for my needs. Breakfast was great with fresh variety of products available everyday. Was able to store my luggage for the day after checkout for no extra cost, perfect for my early evening flight home. I would not hesitate to recommend & will look out for this chain when visiting other cities.

I rely heavily on reviews so will provide a detailed overview of things I believe would be helpful to others. We arrived in Ireland early in the morning and were allowed to check into the hotel for an additional €15, which we were happy to do after a long flight from the US. The room was small and tidy, appropriate for what we needed. Staff all throughout the stay were very friendly and polite, even offering an additional space heater when requested and calling a taxi when we left early in the morning and dint want to take the bus to the airport. The website reads continental breakfast but there is a fee. It wasn’t a problem but continental (where we’re from) usually means included in the hotel fee. Nonetheless, the selection was great and the food was fresh. I appreciated that they had dairy free options available. We ate at the bar/restaurant twice during the week and both times the food was delicious. Drinks and service was good also. The location was downtown and we walked almost everywhere we went as it was a nice central location.

Great location right off Upper O'Connell Street, very easy LUAS access, shopping, great pubs and fast food nearby. Warm and inviting lobby and lounge, pleasant staff. Not being familiar with the Point A brand, however, we were startled by the tiny size of the rooms, and corresponding lack of amenities. They contained no desk, a single foldable chair strapped to the wall with no real spot to place it, barely enough floor space to accommodate suitcases, no mini-fridge or microwave, and no sense of comfort whatsoever. The rooms also feature, for some reason, a frosted glass bathroom door that reflects the bathroom light through the room when in use, as opposed to a solid door that enables others in the room to remain asleep, and which is also not particularly soundproof. Understanding it is toward the budget end of chain hotels, Point A best serves those who are planning to spend very little time in the hotel room, and value location and price more than any semblance of comfort.

The room was clean, but a little cold, and the heating kept turning off, even though it certainly wasn’t 26 degrees in there! The location is excellent, with shops and transport links right there.
