Excellent location, parking in garage across street isn't great. Rooms are very tidy and compact. Overall excellent place to stay for a night or two.

This was our second time staying at Brooks hotel ... it’s charning , great location and the staff is amazing

The hotel is a bit out of the way in central Dublin, which is actually an advantage, as it's still close to walk to the area's many activities. Even the Guinness Brewery is about a 30-minute walk. Quiet and the rooms were very small. Staff was great - friendly, professional and always willing to help. Bathroom was tiny. If possible, make sure rate includes the full breakfast. BTW, their home-made brown bread is terrific. If not, there's a coffee shop next door (a well-known chain). Hotel seems a bit tired and dated but they makeup with excellent service, and make the most of what they have. Would stay there again.

Wonderful, old-fashioned, personalized service. Staff were warm, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful at every opportunity. I am sure will go back many times.

I stayed at the Brooks while extending my business stay in town. The location near local attractions, shopping and dining was great. The hotel staff was very helpful and the room was comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to friends and will plan to stay there again on return trips to the area.

This hotel is a great find. Its only 2 short blocks from Grafton Street and really close to all the important areas. The room, although small is modern and was quiet at the back of the hotel. The staff was pleasant and helpful. This seemed reasonably priced for the area and we're definitely going to stay here again.

My boyfriend and I took a red eye and got to Dublin at 5:30 am. We were exhausted when checking in and asked if anywhere was open for coffee (which at that hour there wasn't) the front desk attendant took us downstairs to a lounge and brought us coffee. It was such great service! The location is pretty good. Very easy to walk to temple bar area.

This hotel is in the best location! We walked everywhere in 5 mins or under (Grafton St., Temple Bar area, Dublin Castle, Trinity College). The front desk staff was great.

Good location. Staff were little rude and hotel rooms were fair

100 A+ for every category with this property. Great location to boot. Guys, the whiskey tasting is a must do!

The location is great - plenty within walking distance. Hotel itself was clean and comfortable and staff was friendly and helpful.

This hotel is in a great location for exploring Dublin on foot. My husband and I stayed two nights here. The rooms are small but very comfortable and the staff are beyond excellent and helpful. Would absolutely stay here again when passing through Dublin.

On amazing reviews from this site we booked at the Brooks for 3 nights at the end of November. We didn't realize we had booked an economy room (which is likely our fault for not reading the fine print) for appx $170 a night, which seemed steep for a low end room in the off season. On check-in the room was absolutely tiny (our suitcases had to be stacked on top of one another to move from the bed to the bathroom), the bed was full sized (which is tough for 2!), but the biggest issue came when we discovered the room hadn't been properly turned over (sheets weren't changed, bathroom wasn't clean). We let the desk know and the staff was super helpful about moving us to a similarly-tiny (but clean!) room immediately. The next morning, they called to tell us they had made a mistake re-placing us in an economy room, and wanted to upgrade us because of the cleaning issue in the initial room, which was an unexpected and very very nice gesture. The upgraded room ("deluxe") was a great size, well decorated, good match for what we needed (and had expected). Throughout the stay the staff were incredibly accommodating and nice, and the location of the hotel cannot be beat--we walked all over the city with no need for a cab/bus! The bar area/ restaurant were underwhelming but utilitarian. All told, had we been left in a small room, 3 days would have seemed/ been impossibly long--I wouldn't recommend the hotel at that level, nor stay there again at that level. At the deluxe level, price dependent, it's a great spot. I am not sure of the price difference between the two options, so it's difficult to say if it was a good value, but definitely go for the larger room if you're a party of more than 1.

After a raucous stay in the Temple Bar area, my husband and I chose the Brooks for our last two nights in Dublin. What a place. Location is wonderful, staff is knowledgeable and the rooms are so comfortable! We will definitely be staying here again on our next trip to Dublin.

Brooks hotel was within walking distance of the main attractions in Dublin's City Center. The rooms were clean, but nothing special. The price seemed high for the quality of the rooms.

We had a lovely time at the Brooks Hotel, just a few blocks south of the Liffey in the middle of everything. Everyone on the staff couldn't be nicer, from the folks at the desk, to the waiters, to the bartender who provided advice in our selection of Irish whiskeys. The location is a quiet street, but only a couple blocks from the Temple Bar rowdiness. The food was also excellent, both at the hotel restaurant and the sumptuous breakfasts each morning.

We slept late on two occasions (past 9 AM) and found that the hot water was all gone. When I complained, the staff responded immediately and said that one of the boilers had gone down overnight and that I would have hot water soon. Two hours later around 11:00 it was warm but not hot. The staff advised me that I was the only customer who had complained about the water. It is worthy to note that whenever I got up at 2:00 AM there was so much hot water available that it was not possible to get cool water from the tap! Other than the problem with hot water, our stay was excellent. The staff were most attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous. Unless I am assured that the water temperature can be better regulated, I would not return to this hotel. I would not recommend it to anyone without the caveat about hot water.

Clean comfortable hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. We arrived in the am on an overnight flight, the staff made the room available to us as soon as it was ready, hours befor our check in time.

We stayed at the Brooks Hotel for 9 nights in June. All our expectations were exceeded. The staff was extraordinarily helpful in meeting our every need. Numerous restaurant choices are within 5 minutes walk. Buses for daytrips leave from the Dublin visitor center that is only 2 blocks away. We never tired of the wide number of breakfast offerings (for only 10 Euros per person!). Our room was large and clean. If you only want all the basics done right, the Brooks is a great choice.

We stayed at the Brook's Hotel twice during an 8 day visit to Ireland. This is a lovely hotel, very homey, centerally located, wonderful breakfast, and the staff bent over backwards for us. Whether it was calling a cab, handling our luggage, mapping out various " must sees" in Dublin, and even helping us with a medical problem all without extra cost or expectation of it. It was our favorite Hotel in Dublin and we will, for sure, be back.
