I stayed on the top floor of the hotel and the room has issues with damp. The room smelt unpleasant (damp), the carpets were damp and there was mould on the ceiling in the bedroom and bathroom. I complained to the reception staff and they confirmed there were no other rooms available so I had to sleep in the room. Overall the room was poor.

The location of the hotel being close to the city centre was great however the hotel doesng live up to the photos on the site. The room smelled musty and of old cigarettes, it was smaller with uneven floors and the bed was sagging in the middke. The rooms furniture was prefabricated wood that had seen better days but getting past that what waa really annoyjng was the fact our room was right next to Fibbers night club and we were subjected to music blasting each night until at least 3a the music coming through the walls wasnt mentioned...as well as housekeeping bringing in extra towels and replacing coffee but leaving the used cups and not making the bed.

Dirty room, noisy and no sound proofing, nothing remotely like what is posted online. The bed has visible springs that dig into you and you just can't sleep in any position, the stairs to the upper floors are so dilapidated that they are on a lean and feel unsafe to climb. The staff tried to help us with what is obviously a common problem of finding out what the room is really like but in the end we opted to take a financial hit and book a room in a cleaner, better hotel nearby. Do yourself a favor and avoid this flophouse.
