2/10 Terrible

If you are somebody who needs quiet to sleep, I would not stay here. I didn't learn until I had checked in that the hotel, and in particular my room, was right above a pub--that serves alcohol until 2:30 a.m. and doesn't close until 3:30 a.m.
That was not disclosed anywhere on Orbitz, nor was I told this upon check in.
Soon after getting to the room, I asked to be put in a different room, but that wasn't possible, as none were open.
I asked to be let out of my reservation. I got the runaround from two different people at the desk over several hours. One said I needed to wait for a manager to sign off, then another nothing could be done because it was a weekend.
"How will I sleep if there is pounding music and drunken laughter until 3 a.m.?" I asked one of the guys.
Then he did something that made me realize this was a huge problem at the hotel: he got out a large box of earplugs and offered me a pair.
I spent an hour on the phone with Orbitz. They tried to be helpful but said they needed a waiver from the company to let me out of my three days of reservation. That never came.
Around 10 p.m., I decided to just leave. I wasn't going to ruin my short time in Dublin because I couldn't sleep. I ended up losing the money, which was very frustrating.
If you like to party, and figure you will be out late, then this place is probably fine. You can come in around 3 a.m. and crash out.
If you want relative quiet to be able to sleep, then stay somewhere else.
