All great. Just as fyi, hotel is four stops on the tram from the downtown area. We also walked it one evening and it was only ten to fifteen minutes away by foot.

The staff at the front desk were excellent! However, those at the bar and restaurant were very poor. At one point I went to have a beer with my wife, the place was not busy, yet after 15 minutes the staff had not come to our table as they were busy talking. I got up and asked for two beers, 10 to 12 minutes later there was no beer to be had and I noticed the young lady just walking around. We got up to leave and all she did was look at us. I reported this to the front desk to a staff member named Patryk (had a strange spelling to Patick). I am not sure if he told management as he promised he would. We had a similar experience with breakfast one morning. The bottom line is that we spent all our money eating elsewhere and used none of the services at the hotel.

There are two things that I like about this hotel besides the fact that it is a newer construction and very clean. The one is the concierge named Garreth- he is knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. The second one is that the LUAS line (the tram system) is literally right out the front door. Extremely convenient to walk outside, get on the tram, and go. Just a few minutes away from downtown city center. A very nice hotel, and a very nice place to stay. The decor is a bit on the modern side as well.

I would personally skip the Gibson. The pictures are nice, but the reality of less pleasing. As of July 2017, there is a lot of construction around the hotel, which makes access via a taxi nearly impossible and even a challenge to locate on foot. Speaking of walking, the Gibson is located at the far east end of the river in the port area. Expect to walk a mile or so or take taxis/tram to get into the core area of downtown Dublin. We stayed in one of their executive rooms, which was drably decorated in shades of grey/brown with accents of neon green, which just isn't working. My wife did not like the bed and had trouble sleeping while we were there. I didn't have the same issue. There were marks on the walls, mold in the shower corners, and other signs of maintenance neglect. The pictures shown of the garden visible from the rooms is actually a mossy courtyard that needs a lot of landscaping help with a lot of dead/dying flora. I would put the hotel on par with most average 3 star hotels I've stayed at around the world. Do yourself a favor and look for other options.

This is a new, very modern hotel located directly in front of the city train stop. It was so convenient to getting to Dublin's city center, and it only took about 10-15 minutes on the train. Our hotel room was clean, comfortable, and had a very nice bathroom, which is something you won't find in older hotels. There's a Starbucks next door, too. I am recommending this hotel to some of my family who are visiting Dublin next year, and I would certainly stay there again. I highly recommend!

The Gibson is a solid choice for staying in Dublin. The staff is helpful, professional and attentive without being fussy. The rooms are comfortable. Recommended!

The staff was snooty and very unfriendly. They are doing construction all around the hotel which made it hard to get to. The food was expensive and not very good in the restaurant. Would not stay here again.

1) I got a GREAT deal on this booking from Orbitz 2) Location is great if you want to see a show at 3Arena or if you like the LUAS (tram) or if you like walking (I like walking) 3) Staff was very nice and accommodating 4) The hotel looks great outside and in 5) Rooms are spacious and comfortable - very much a US Holiday Inn Express model. 6) Beds are not the best and pillows pretty hard (standard economy hotel style) 7) Room service was good, cheapish, and fast 8) Staying here was awesome if you want a close to American hotel experience.

The hotel was nice and clean, room are bigger then expected for European hotel. 50 steps away from tram to city center. Parking was $14 per night. I would come back and stay at the same hotel. Good job Gibson Hotel.

Very nice hotel Clean, fun, quite rooms and great staff We would stay again as the location was ideal too

Nothing but positives for our stay. The hotel is located just outside city center but the public transit tram is located just outside the front door.

This was a great hotel, clean, modern, very comfortable and modern/elegant rooms. Right across a metro stop. Great service, full Irish breakfast buffet.

I had lived in Dublin before and wanted to be near the center of town but knew the areas of Temple Bar and O'Connell Street would be loud at night. I'm now too old for that! :) So I loved the fact that you could easily walk into town or take the Luas (tram) that stops immediately outside the door of the hotel. The modern rooms had everything you'd need and the front desk staff were so friendly and helpful. There is not much immediately around the hotel, as it was the area that was starting to be built up right before the recession, but again, that was a partial benefit to us.

Not much bad to say about this place. The room was clean and was ready early - the food in the restaurant was decent and the accommodations were new and modern. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Dublin.

Clean, modern hotel not far from the center. Excellent base to explore Dublin and environs. Highly suggest trips to explore Ireland. What a beautiful country!

The location is a bit of a walk from city centre but I needed it with all the delicious food we were eating! Right next to the O2 and a tram is directly outside the hotel to take you to city centre! Definitely recommend eating at the oarsman for a great fish n chips, totally share worthy!

Spent 11 nights at The Gibson while visiting our daughter during her summer internship in Dublin. If this hotel is typical of new hotel construction in Europe, then they are ahead of the USA in environmentally sustainable hotel building practices. Perfect location at The Point Depot for taking the affordable light rail tram (Luas) into the center of Dublin and first-stop round trip bus transportation from Dublin Airport (via AirCoach--purchase online in advance). The standard room is a good size, with excellent foam top mattress, nice clean duvet with covering that is changed for each new guest, and an amazing shower. The frosted glass window between the bedroom and shower is to allow natural light into an otherwise windowless bathroom. We were there a day before we discovered a second built-in closet (next to the hall door) for additional hanging clothes that also contained a digital safe for valuables. Ask for a room price plan that includes the full Irish breakfast buffet. More items than one could want at a 15 Euro cost per person--if not included in the plan.

A little far out from the city but very accessible.

The Gibson Hotel is a very trendy hotel situated at the point in Dublin. The room and bathroom was very modern and very well put together. Complementary Wi-Fi was available and multiple power outlets were present for electronic devices. If you were planning on seeing a show at the O2, the location is excellent. If you want to see temple bar expect a ~7 Euro (each way) taxi ride or ~4 Euro tram ride (round trip). The tram is located just outside the hotel entrance. Reception was very nice and was the bar staff. Food within the hotel is expensive, but this is to be expected. Parking in the public ramp below the hotel is very safe and secure however expensive. I believe it to be ~18 Euro a night, however parking is expensive throughout the city. All together, a very nice hotel with a good wait staff, a unique location, and excellent service.

This was a work trip and the hotel was very close to East Point Park. Cool room and terrific view of the Wicklow mountains and the O2 center.

Hi there Joe, I'm glad to see that the front desk made such an impression on you visit and I have made the food and beverage managers aware of your experience with their teams. I do apologise for the service you experienced and I trust that if you are back with us in the future you will see an improvement in this area. Kind regards, Clare

Dear George, I am sorry to see that the location of the gibson did not suit your stay in Dublin and that our decor was not quite to your taste. I hope that the other aspects of your time with us were enjoyable. Kind regards, Clare
