Awesome property. Parking, clean rooms and close to the airport. 10-20 euro taxi to city center.

The room suited us well and the staff was very accommodating. The restaurant was good as well. We ate breakfast nearly every morning we were there and dinner a few of the nights there as well. Everything was great overall. We would definitely return.

Dublin Skylon Hotel is in a nice, quiet area easily accessible to City Centre.

It was nice and clean although the hallways had a strong cigarette smoke smell and the room was way too hot

Great check in, room very clean, great location with really good Italian restaurant and other food options right across the street.

Went with family on holiday and we felt like family at Skylon Hotel. The staff was so amazing, it made our trip that much more memorable. We will definitely stay again!

We only stayed one night for our next morning flight from Dublin airport, but we experienced a very welcoming front desk staff. The bartender (whose name, unfortunately, I did not get) entertained us with his stories. The lobby and restaurant areas are all designed to welcome gatherings of people for a comfortable evening of drinks and dinner. The room was comfortable, and the large bathroom and shower a treat after the small bathrooms of the B&B's we stayed.

Many restaurants in the area, next to Dublin University. Far from the main attractions, museums, etc. However, bus service to the city center right across the the street. Good proximity to the airport.

nice hotel and staff, great customer service. Parking lot is very small good location to airport or downtown

The hotel and the room were very nice and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The men in the family enjoyed eating breakfast in the hotel restaurant. I only had lunch there once and had a rather odd green salad with cooked vegetables that I'll chalk up to different tastes in American and Irish salads. No biggie. There are also some nice restaurants in the neighborhood. We really enjoyed Restaurant 104 across the street. Really, the only draw-back was that there was a dog that lived in the neighborhood behind the hotel that barked a lot. I named him Seamus. Seamus slept in the morning, but any other time of time, Seamus was going at it. Because it was a warm August, we wanted the window open, so we heard Seamus a lot. Whenever we wanted to sleep, we had to close the window and run the fan. It was no fault of the hotel's, just kind of a bummer. (Maybe bring some earplugs if you're staying over.) Transportation into the city center was super easy - there are many bus lines that run right in front of the hotel to the center. Overall, we had a very lovely stay. We would stay there again.

The hotel was nice, but the room felt warm from someone coming for US,even with the fan they provided, but other then that it was really nice.

Perfect except no ac. Weather was nice, so this really wasn't that big of a deal.

The only BIG gripe we have is the hallway right outside our room smelled horribly like cigarettes. It is a no smoking hotel...

Great hotel, comfortable beds, close to City Center - 30 min by bus 15 min by taxi. Great Value for the family room. The hotel is on a busy street. Ask for a room at the back to avoid hearing traffic noise. Car park is small. If you get a spot don't give it up :) Lots of shops and restaurants in walking distance.

we stayed in this hotel as a close option to the airport. i actually thought it was going to be a little more "run-down" since it was very reasonable. and i was pleasantly surprised. it's a very nice hotel. they have electrical outlets converters in the lobby for 2 Euro in a little machine, which i thought was a nice little touch. we arrived at around 9:30pm and everything was shut down for food except for an Italian place across the street (which was excellent) and the Dominos. so, arrive earlier if you want dinner! the shower was large, bathroom was clean. the room itself was large compared to the rooms we had been staying in all over the country. overall, i would say this is a great value for it's comfort and proximity to the airport. in terms of other things around the area, we didn't explore it, so i can't comment.

Staff at checkin was very friendly. They gave out glasses of Prosecco and orange juice for free. Rooms had a decent sized and were clean, albeit the furnishing is not very modern. Bathroom was clean as well, but some of the bathroom grouts should be replaced.

Good morning Oriana, Thank you for taking the time to review The Skylon Hotel. We do strive here to keep the hotel as clean as possible. We will look into the smell of cigarette smoke as the hotel is totally no smoking so there should not be any smell of smoke. Our heating is on a timer, this time of the year the temperatures can go up and down daily. We do try to keep the rooms as comfortable as much as possible and supply fans in the rooms. We do hope you return and stay with us soon. Kind regards Team Skylon
