My husband and I are traveling and needed sleep, we stopped at several hotels right in Dothan. We checked the rooms before checking in, for the sake of a few more dollars, just go here. It clean, comfortable, nice pillows. Very happy we chose this hotel. Only downside is no free breakfast.
We stayed at the Holiday Inn in Dothan recently. We were disappointed from the very beginning. When we checked into our room there was some type of liquid on a side table and a white stain about the size of a quarter, on a side chair. One of the housekeepers just happened to be in the hall and came in to look. She got a tissue and dried off the table, scratched her fingernail at the chair stain and said it was a dried stain and didn't bother to try to remove it. Our television remote didn't work properly and we could not get any channel numbers to display, plus the channels were not in any type of order. The front desk told us we needed a universal remote but that they did not have any available. They gave us the option of changing rooms but after six hours on the road we had already unpacked and didn't want to move. The front desk managers didn't seem to care (Adam and Robert). The third morning we were there we left word for the manager and they took down our message and room number but she never came or called. We inquired at the front desk for the next TWO mornings and were told that they were working on the problem. We had the Privacy sign on the door but no one ever called nor left anything under the door. The TV was finally changed the morning we checked out. Overall, the room needs a thorough cleaning from the dust ruffle to the bathroom shelves. There is the beginning of mold on the ceiling over the tub. I will say that the breakfast buffet was good, with fresh fruit every morning, however I will NOT stay there again!
I booked a reservation for this property through a mutual friend (as I always have). I have stayed at this property for a few years when I come home. I was coming to stay this visit because my Grandmother passed and we were only staying one night. I called before I drove 2 hours and asked the front desk if I could pay in cash and he stated I could. Once I got there, it was issues on both ends, but could have been resolved. He then stated to me that 'NOW' the manager decided I could not pay cash and had to use the card I had on file. DID not make any sense because I've never done that before but whatever. End result, I left and stayed somewhere much better...I will never give my business to this property again. Have a great day!
Well the restaurant service was on point. Sat at the bar and enjoyed excellent service. Disappointing the restaurant manager shut down the entire restaurant at 9:00 p.m. That's right 9:00 p.m. Normally the restaurant would close at 10. Crystal is an awesome bartender!!!! Not at all impressed with Tiffany's management style. 😔
Where do I start? Monday discovered bites on my back. Tuesday bites on my arm. I work outside in hevy mosquitoe and ant areas and thought that might be the cause. Wednesday got bit again and found bed bug in the bed. Went to front desk had my room changed. The second room had stains (Large white stains)on the side of the bed, mold in shower and large scrapes in the wall. Instead of upgrading lobby and pool area how about the rooms. Went back down to front desk to check out. Did not take offer of third room. Clerk said he could not check me out I would have to call or come back in the morning. Morning clerk said call back to speak to manager at 7:30am. Manager said General manager will call me and she don't get in until8:30am. I called her at4:00pm because I received no call . I have been a loyal IHG MEMBER FOR 20 +years. She would do nothing for me other than add some points. I ended up paying for 2 rooms one at Marriott. I don't know what bothers me more the bugs or the loyalty to customers. Time to re think things.
The hotel was a typical holiday inn. Room was clean. The restaurant was pretty much empty. The food was just ok. But the service was really good. Portia was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Even the chef/cook came out to see if everything was cooked ok.
After driving all day from Bradenton, FL and being unable to find any hotels with rooms in FL, we finally arrived in Dothan with a room available at 2:30 in the morning. Front desk clerk was super friendly and helpful! The room was very nice and comfortable. The bed was amazing. They even provided 3 types of pillows to choose from. The room was quiet and I did not hear any noise in the hallways. The bathroom was large and nice. My only complaint was a bit of uncleaned area on the walls around the bathtub. Our room did not have a mini-fridge. As an insulin user that was inconvenient but not a deal breaker. I will definitely stay again!
Nice modern rooms. Plenty of plugs to charge your phone, laptop, etc. Stayed for business but would be good for a family (e.g., nice pool; not sure if it's heated though). Good mini fridge, microwave, and Keurig coffee maker in each room. Pretty good cookies for the afternoon snack in the lobby too!
I have stayed here several times and not by choice but by my companies choice. The first time I stayed here, we had about 30 of my employees with us. At all the Holiday Inn Express' that I stay in, if I forget my silverware, I go down to the restaurant and ask and with out any issues they give me a set to use. Well this time, I walked into the restaurant and asked for some and the bartender told me it would be $0.50 to get some. No, I don't think so after the amount of money I have paid for the room. When I got up to my room, I turned on my TV and it wouldn't come on. This is the second time this has happened at this hotel and it seems like every time when some leaves the room, they unplug the cord out of the back of the TV because as soon as I would push it back in, it would work without issues. In the morning they have coffee that you can get but every morning (730-800) there was no coffee to be found. The water is not hot in the rooms and I feel dirty if I have to take a lukewarm shower. When I had the cleaning lady come into my room to clean, the shower was not clean, she didnt take all of the dirty towels and didnt pick the pen off of the floor. All she did was dump my trash and have way make my bed. The staff is ok but i have been around others that are way better. I have stayed at several HIE and this by far is the worst that I have ever stayed at!
We flew into Atlanta and drove down to PCB and stayed here overnight. Hotel was clean, staff was friendly and pool was nice. Nothing spectacular, but what I was expecting and it was a nice stay. We would stay here again.
