I’ve stayed here many times over the last 3-4 years as the facility is very nice and near the places I must go. The recent room remodel has a couple of areas that were changed that I felt were not up to Comfort Inn standards. The change in the lighting in the bathrooms, though aesthetically appealing, do not provide sufficient lighting as there is only 2 settings: off or subdued. There is a need at times for brighter lighting such as necessary for grooming/makeup application etc. The new style shower stalls are nice but the doors don’t close completely to prevent some water passing onto the floor of the bathroom itself and no entry safety bars. The ceiling fans are terribly loud. There are insufficient outlets in some of the rooms to provide access to charging electronic devices and CPAP accessibility. Some rooms have provisions in the lamp bases but not all have them. The double bed rooms were less device accessible. The facility have been ‘renovating’ for over a year and although some Covid restrictions have been lifted nor modified, the gym has remained closed and the ‘bag breakfasts’ of a bottle of water, a granola bar, a muffin and a banana leave a bit to be desired. A coupon for a discount at a local restaurant for breakfast or just availability of cereal, individual wrapped breakfast bread, donuts, bagels etc to go would be an improvement. I realize staffing, Covid restrictions and construction affect this, but a little creativity in thought might go a long way.

It was good and clean, staff was very friendly. Breakfast was very poor

We had a large comfortable room, King bed. Our bath tub was very large, with a Jacuzzi- with ample room for 2 people- who needs a pool!

The property is outdated and could use a remodel, breakfast was good though

The location is nice area and assumed the place will be awesome and clean. We walked in the room, it smelled moldy.. the bathroom is old and rusty skins fb dirty bathtub. We decided to go to bed and deal with it, it was only one night. We woke up and left the hotel. Hour later we started to itch all over our body and got dot.. we went to cvs and asked them and they told us those were bed bites.. we end up getting hotel room to just shower and wash up. Our body is full of bites. So mad at the hotel.

Ease of checking in and breakfast was very good. It is clean and close to all attractions

The bathroom could have been cleaner- mold growing on ceiling.

I’ve stayed at this location several times over the last couple years. I’ve always liked the location because of its proximity to a vast amount of dining and shopping choices. It is located where I can reach all the destinations I usually need in a relatively short time no matter where in the east and northeast sector of metropolitan Detroit. The downside is trying to get into and out of the property during normal business hours as it is located off M59 and the M53 expressway. (Small price to pay for the benefits). Also the parking on the property is limited by the spacing and number near the main entrances. Most available parking after 5p is behind the hotel and the entrances from there are not conveniently located or marked. Other than that, I always try to stay there when in town and especially when online deals are available. Definitely recommend.

I’ve stayed here 3-4 times in the last 2 years. Except for having to park around the back of the hotel due to the parking having some limitations, the stay and facilities are still highly recommended.

Lovely rooms, but the staff could have been a bit more accommodating.

Hotel was worth the money. Room was clean, except the bathroom had someone else hair on the floor. We notified the hotel the next morning and they apologized and had someone in to clean while we were out. Beds were a little hard but blankets and pillows were comfortable. Breakfast was good... usually had eggs and bacon or sausage with waffles and all the other usual stuff. The first day they ran out of eggs and seemed to never restock, this was the only small issue. We could here people passing by talking in the hall but not in adjoining rooms. The freeway was close by but we couldn't hear the traffic, which was good. Staff was always really friendly and helpful. Overall I think this hotel is definitely worth the price if you are on a budget.

Good greeting from the staff. Clean breakfast room . Bathroom was dated, and it was easy to hear others in rooms nearby.

I only had a problem with the drain. The bathtub water took a really long time to drain out while it was open.

I am very sorry for your experience. We are currently going through a full-scale renovation of all of our rooms and public spaces. We use a world-renowned pest control company for all of our pest control needs. We have no record of any complaint from any guests recently of bed-bug bites. We take any mention of bugs very seriously and immediately bring out our pest control company to investigate the situation. We'd appreciate if you'd reach out to us and give us more details about your stay so that we may investigate this more thoroughly.
