My husband and I flew into Cancun and took the drive down to Coba. We stayed three nights and couldn’t be happier with the service we received and the awesome room. We stayed in the king villa which meant we got our own plunge pool and a deluxe free breakfast. The second day we traveled to the Coba ruins only 10 mins from the hotel and the third we travelled to Chichén Itzá and Valladolid. Amazing food too! We ate dinner two nights at the restaurant and loved having our Starbucks coffee every morning. If you want to feel like a king stay here. I would suggest that you rent a car to enjoy your trip the the fullest.
Beautiful, tranquil and serene boutique hotel off the beaten path and nestled in the Mayan jungle with friendly staff and excellent food. Aldea Coba tops my list of favorite destinations. Nearby attractions not to miss are the Coba ruins, cenotes, and Punta Laguna Mayan jungle tour. I've stayed here twice and am planning a third trip. I think I subconsciously held out writing a review so I could keep this little gem to myself but the secret is out.
My two nights at Aldea Coba on my honeymoon were nothing short of incredible. It is very close to the ruins in Coba, but you will not want to leave the hotel. The bungalows are spacious with beautiful bathrooms and the pool and surrounding architecture are beautifully built with respect to the surrounding jungle and wildlife. The staff was so kind and helpful and the hospitality went above and beyond our expectations. We let them know it was our honeymoon and they set up a lovely surprise for us when we arrived. The restaurant is very good for breakfast, lunch and dinner and the bar makes great drinks! We came to Coba to visit the ruins, but I would visit again just to stay at Aldea Coba. Oh and we had the bungalow with a private pool. So cool! and well worth it.
This is a small hotel (6 rooms and villas) in the middle of nature. Even if the entrance is on the main road, that was no inconvenience whatsoever (this is Cobá, not a lot of traffic). Our room was spacious and very comfortable with a very nice bathroom. The door opened directly to the surrounding vegetation. No television in the room, but this is perfectly in sync with the place. The staff were kind and helpful at all time. Nice pool. Good on-site restaurant. Excellent quality for price. We would love to return and spend more time in La Aldea.
Amazing! The best experience, the best staff and the most caring customer service. Couldn't be happier!! We always felt welcome and most importantly, at home. Definitely will come back! P.S. The private pool in the villa was the best!
As we are vegetarians, we had special wishes and the cook José prepared a great dinner. The waiter Juan Luis was very helpful, friendly and we felt very comfortable in this restaurant. Thanks for the excellent food and also for the excellent service!
The place looks fairly new. Abigail at front desk greeted us with a smile and took us to Our room explaining the free breakfest and that they had starbucks there . Wow starbucks in the middle of mexico. The room we booked had a private pool and a amazing bathroom and bedroom layout. The staff super friendly. Definetley order the breakfest burrito.
We only ate at the restaurant. But, if we go back, we would definitely stay at this sweet guest house outside of Coba. The food was delicious and an excellent presentation of Yucatecan cuisine. The owner gave us a tour of the property. This would be a perfect spot to stay while exploring Coba and the different fantastic Cenotes in the area.
Beautiful hotel with spacious rooms (including A/C), great food, and a welcoming staff. I visited with my family as a retreat from the crowd of Cancun and it was perfect - far enough to feel secluded but close enough to not be a pain. We hiked the nearby ruins for an adventure. We ate several meals at the hotel and all tasted delicious. Our favorite was the dinner that ended with a history lesson on Mayan chocolate followed by a tasting made table side!
The food is awesome and the service very friendly. All in all a very cosy ambience. We went there spontaniously during our trip from tulum to coba. We recommend the restaurant for everyone and will come back again!
