It is a 3 overall and not for the place but the owners.
5 stars: great part of town, very convenient building, easy access, walk everywhere, park, lake, dining options, etc. super-comfy king beds, perfect 2/2 space for me and my adult son.
1 star: owner communication. Wi-Fi didn’t work from the very beginning. Even though we were there for holiday, I needed to do meetings, and my son needed to finish college assignments. Contacted owners immediately. Got a few insulting responses, such as is your equipment plugged in. Afterwards got an alternative Wi-Fi connect, from six floors away in a high rise building, it worked for minutes and then would fall off. After that, silence with owners. I tried to call, the number listed is NOT IN SERVICE. I also asked them to call me, which they never did. The next morning, after hotspotting my meetings off my phone, I called Vrbo. They also could not get in touch with the owners, they were supposed to call me back, and never did either. Then both owners and the Vrbo kept sending me feel good messages as to how wonderful they hoped my stay was and if I had any issues at all…
We did have a really good time, the apartment is great, however, I am a VRBO and other rental owner myself. You don’t ignore your guests. Period.
