We had a suite and we really enjoyed the room. It is in a location where you feel safe and everything you need is at this one location. Some parts of the hotel may be a bit tired looking but overall it is a nice place to stay.

Front desk inept and didn't try to solve our dilemma at all.

Very clean and quiet but No breakfast included. Had to fend for self.

I believe this is the fourth time we've stayed here and have always been satisfied. Staff has always been professional and willing to go that extra step which makes us feel comfortable. The only problem we have ever had was this news years evening with loud childeren running up and down the halls late at night, but it was new years after all.

Good little budget hotel. Not enough available partkings. Wish there were more lights on the far end parking lot. Overall it's ok for the value.

The pros: We stayed during a visit to Wheaton College. The location is perfect - just a quick 10 minute drive to the college. The restaurant is good; we enjoyed a nice dinner there our first night. The staff is very friendly and helpful and there was plenty of parking. The cons: The wallpaper in the room was peeling and the ceiling consisted of acoustic tiles that were stained and crumbling in places. The climate control for the room was SO loud it woke me every time the air conditioner or heater turned on in the middle of the night... and it cycled all night. I suppose I could have turned it off, but without it the room was stuffy and our sliding door opened into the hotel foyer, so leaving it open wasn't an option. It looked like the a/c had leaked many times - the acoustic tiles under the air vent were covered in water stains and warped. When we returned home, my daughter found her legs covered in insect bites. She wore long pants each day, but slept in shorts. I didn't think to check her bed for bed bugs, but wish I had. One final note... the hotel parking lot seems to be a gathering place for a few unsavory locals. Every time we entered or left the parking lot, there was a different group of people hanging out who didn't appear to be hotel guests. They were sitting in and around cars, with radios blaring, while smoking, swearing and talking loudly. There were a few nights when I returned to the hotel and ended up driving to the lot farthest from my room, to avoid walking alone to the door of the hotel. If we return to the area, I'll stay elsewhere.

The hotel, restaurant within the hotel, and staff were great! Unfortunately, the hotel location was not ideal. There were no restaurants nearby (unless you would include White Castle on the list of restaurants). We truly thought we were lost until we saw the Holiday Inn sign. Would stay there again, though we would eat before heading to the hotel...at any restaurant we could find!

The room was clean and comfortable. Staff was helpful and the Hotel was close to what we were involved in. Free parking. The food was great.

This hotel is an easy drive to relatives and the airport. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean. The restaurant was open for breakfast thru supper, and the food was good, service excellent.

Nice staff, comfy bed, clean room. 2 cons: 1. The drapes in the room didn't move so people could see in the room from the windows in the hallways. 2. I expected a complimentary breakfast for the price we paid for the room.

The desk clerk arranged for a cab when I arrived at O"Hare. The staff was very accomodating and pleasant. Shuttle took me to my business appointments in Wheaton. The restuarant was very nice too. Quality of the food was outstanding. Overall it was a very positive experience!

Very pleasant. Staff went out of their way to help.

We had a issue with the first room, they gave us. But, the staff was quick to give us another room, when we made them aware of the problem with the first room.

Great hotel. Awesome pool area. Bar staff was friendly. We enjoyed our brief stay. Thank you!!

Was in town as a participant in the Softball World Series 8/27 to 9/4. I researched at least 50 hotels before I decided on the Ocean Stream Holiday Inn. This was the best decision!! At first, I chose this hotel because it was located in the middle of all the fields in St. Charles (8 miles), Elmhurst (8 miles), and Schaumburg(12miles). Little did I know that this hotel would be so much more than just a conveinent location. At check-in I met Lois. She, and the rest of the staff were very friendly and attentive my entire stay! The check-in and check-out process went smoothly without any unexpected issues. Having never been to the greater Chicago area, I had a million questions and Lois had all the answers. She was patient with my inquiries and even printed out maps and directions that she had delivered to my room. Talk about service. My room was very clean and comfortable. As it was very hot (over 100) while I was there, the AC was on most of the time and the room was comfortably cool with little noise from the AC. The bed was fresh and clean...no bedbugs...I checked! Linens were clean ...no stains...I checked, and odor free! FRESH is the norm in these rooms. Bathroom was very clean, everyday. The pool and jacuzzi were crystal clear and a welcome respite after a long day of playing softball. My fellow teammates, who were staying at other area hotels, had visited me and were envious of my hotel for its' location, cleanliness, ammenitiies and comfort. Many of my teammates paid for parking, and Internet service...both FREE at the Holiday Inn. I didn't have a laptop, no problem! I was able to access the internet from their FREE computers in their business center. I ate at the restaurant on a couple of occasions. The Saturday I was there they had a $15.95 Prime Rib buffett that was well worth the money. They have a great bar with a pool table and big screen TV's with sports and other entertainment on them. They also have an excellent breakfast buffett. One unintended ammenitity is that the Ocean Stream Chamber of Commerce is located in the hotel. They were more than happy to suggest local restaurants and attractions. Also, the hotel is directly behind a Brunswick Bowling Center and Arcade that includes lazer tag and other fun attractions, like bumper cars and video games. Finally, the hotel is only 3 miles from the Wheaton Metra rail station that will take you to downtown Chicago where you can connect to the "L" to get around the city. I got a weekend pass for $7.00 for unlimted use the entire weekend. It takes about 45 minutes to get there...but better than sitting in traffic and paying $5.00 and hour to park! I highly recommend this hotel for a clean, quiet, comfortable and friendly stay!!

Scum line in hot tub dirty floating in water and sticking to body. Scum line in swimming pool dirty and smelled bad. Slippery along walls at the bottom. This is where they dump the chemicals as they walk around the pool.

Business trip, stayed 7 nights; add breakfast there & dinner sometimes; gone during the day. Typical of the businnes hotels where I stay.

This holiday inn is located in a insdustrial type area and if you do not have a vehicle your options will be limited to taking a city bus. The staff is attentive and friendly and the service is very good. The only let down is the room decor and old carpets.

Great location, friendly staff and it was quiet. It was a pleasant stay and we will be back

We were in Wheaton to attend our son's college graduation. We have stayed at this Holiday Inn several times a year while he was in college. We appreciate the convenient location and the friendly staff at the front desk. The room is clean and the beds comfortable.
