It was very well taken care off. Casino and dog racing was second to none.

Walk way to casino. No smoking. Rooms very clean. Friendly

Love how everything you need is right there. Didnt have to leave for food or drinks.

Good pay out and well ran. Watching the dog races was awesome

The casino is under renovation. At least a 1/3 of the floor is unavailable. Plus the wiring to alot of the Slots was messed up. Shame, nice place otherwise.

I thought it was amazing that a 4-star hotel did not have refrigerators available for medicine. They must make a lot of money because the price of the hotel rooms and the fact that you win "nothing" in the casino must make them a lot of money. Also, patrons should be told that if you have your Do Not Disturb signs out pass a certain time that you do not get your room clean. It was amazing to me that you could clearly hear people walking over your head, very annoying!

Enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Unhappy there was no microwave anywhere for guest use.

Firstly - the staff is excellent. They are kind, efficient and just so darned nice! Everyone, from restaurant wait staff to security to folks who go around cleaning up, is very courteous and welcoming! We only ate at the Orlean's Cafe, but it was truly excellent food for a great value. The poker room is kind of sad, but we got there on a weekday (Tuesday) so maybe that was the issue. There was only one table (total) running, a 1/2 NLH. It was a soft game, so if you're looking to make a bit of cash and know how to play, this might be the place for you. You won't make a ton because they don't call off huge bets, but if you can dodge a chase now and then, you can chip up. They had a PLO tourney that night and only 8 people signed up for it. The next day I wanted to play some poker in the morning but the poker room didn't open at all before we ended up having to leave (1pm). They also had a fairly limited number of slots to play, if you're into that, but I'll note that there were very large sections undergoing renovation, so I suspect normally the selection is much greater. They had the standard table games (blackjack, 3-card, Mississippi stud, criss-cross) a well, and the dealers were very helpful and pleasant. I had never played criss-cross before and our dealer would look at my hand and give me advice on what to do. And it was good advice, as I quadrupled my buy-in within about an hour! All in all, we truly enjoyed our stay at the Mardi Gras

The Lobby and breakfast area is a congested mess. There is no room to stand and wait at the reception desk. Even while I was being checked in I had to move out of the way for a group of people walking through.

To call this a 4 star resort is a joke. The rooms do not even have coffee makers. Their buffet breakfast was what you would expect in a 2 or 3 star chain restaurant. The exercise room was the size of a small bedroom. Their staff ranged from unhelpful to rude.

Friendliest staff I’ve ever seen. They were helpful and polite. Everyone you passed in the halls spoke and asked if you needed anything and how you were doing.
