Hotel de la Cite Carcassonne - MGallery Collection

Style Service andLocationn

My wife and I spent three nights in this very nice hotel. The recently renovated rooms, while a little (but not too) small are lovely, well appointed and comfortable, The bar and restaurant are simiilarly nice and well priced, The location, across the square from the Cathedral is near a seemingly endless array of shops, bakeries and eateries. The rooftop bar and pool are great. The standout however was the staff. Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and (thankfully) English speaking.

ibis Styles Carcassonne La Cité

Pretty good standard hotel near La Cite.

I had a good stay here. It's under a 10 min. walk to the La Cite. So that was great. The facility is nice for a reasonable budget. The Good: My room was nice and clean. Breakfast was great! Friendly staff. Good location, shady (in the good, block the sun, way) parking. Sort of annoying: My bed was pretty hard, but the pillows were good. The lighting in the bathroom at the mirror was not bright enough. Minimal room furnishings mean a lack of counter top space. It was OK for the price point. No safe in my room, although desk clerk said there should be. Biggest complaint: The sign marking them is pretty much impossible to see until you should already be turning when you're driving up on the main road.
