We had a wonderful trip. The staff was so accommodating. Food was fantastic especially the buffet. Do not bother with the wings or hamburgers if you’re American. Not what we’re used to. We will definitely come back!
From the moment you arrive your a treated like vip. We booked preferred ocean front king and it was such an amazing experience. The resort greets you with smiles and a welcome drink and hand towel. While they get you checked in you are brought to the preferred club lounge to enjoy cocktails and light refreshments. The room and the views were amazing. The staff was my favorite part. Alexander was exceptional. The property is so well maintained. The night club was awesome. The beach massages, jet skiing and parasailing made this a trip to remember. Personally I loved all the a la carte restaurant options but the Buffet was were we loved to be! Overall I would recommend this place to anyone. Book through orbitz from the airport transfers of Mexico travel solutions to excursions and room was such an easy amazing process!
Wife and I enjoyed the resort. The food was amazing and their shows were really good. They were professional and entertaining. Their Rock Show and Fire Show were our favorite. We loved that they had live music for salsa, saxophone, it was really nice. Rooms were clean. Ocean was a lil rocky but the sand was soft and they work really hard to maintain it clean.
Food and service were great. Did not like the rule pertaining to men's attire for the restaurants. Men could not wear sleeveless shirts or pants but women could wear revealing clothing and see thru clothing. Hotel should be sure to add dress code info on website when booking. Staff did not consistently press the issue. We saw many men at dinner with shorts on. Our room took a very long time to cool. The railing in the room was broken, some of the furniture was worn and the room required some overall maintenance. The app was not helpful as it did not match the daily schedule for restaurant openings. We would give the resort another try.
Older resort. Terrible wifi. Restaurants are so so. Did not appreciate pressure on first day to attend Unlimited Vacation Club (basically timeshare on steroids) presentation, ended up wasting hours being sold a package. Determined later it was a lie. Advice - Any contract signed in Mexico can get cancelled within 5 days of signing.
I love the beautiful setting and the uniqueness of the property I didn’t like that my food was always cold and not hot and we thought that the Bars should be open later and not closing at 11:0
The junior suite was very spacious. If you're able to upgrade then I'd recommend getting the Ocean view. Our bathtub was a bit dirty, but we had no intention of using. They left a dirty rag during one of the cleanings. Other than that no issues. The staff was very attentive and amicable. Especially the ones working at the buffet during breakfast. The food was okay a little bland. Room service and restaurant by the pool is basically burgers and hotdogs. A few instances some of the restaurants were closed, such as the Castaways. A major disappointment was one of the pools (with the hammocks) was only for premium ADULT members. Which wasn't advertised on the listing and only told upon check-in. Most of the pictures online are of the preferred area options which is extra. On my second day, I was called to my room to say I missed on the "VIP package and other specials". Which you're told during check-in. I was asked to stop by concierge. I assumed it was a timeshare pitch, so I said yes, but had no intention of stopping by. The seaweed was terrible and made the beach unenjoyable - by no fault of the resort. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
The property is beautiful and the staff is nice. Erick at the pool side bar was my favorite. The staff keeps the place impeccably clean. I tried arranging transportation from the airport to the hotel and no one responded to my emails. It was the form of communication I was provided to make arrangements. I was overcharged at the airport to get to the hotel. The website says they can change currency at the hotel. 3 days and no currency was available until I got upset then they found currency. The "mini bar" In a preferred club ocean front room consisted of 2 beers a few sodas and waters and 1 juice. No other alcohol. A bottle of champagne was there as promised but no champagne glasses. I forgot sunblock so I went to the gift shop and they charge between 30-40$USD. It cost me less to get a taxi to town and buy one there. While I was in town I found a snorkeling excursion for 20$ at the hotel 150$ per person. Although its a beautiful resort, I have gotten more for less at other beautiful locations.
Buffet food was just ok. AC in the rooms weren’t working well but overall I do like this place.
